If I try to use the D3D11 with 10bit and going full screen Exclusive mode.
1.the ms from 26ms goes to 40ms. ( AKA Fix ) Enabling the Exclusive mode in Potplayer settings to Fastest improves the ms to 31ms in full screen, so we need to enable Exclusive in 2 places and make sure 3DTV is not enabled too.
2.the render queue goes from 7-8/8 to 2-4 changing a bit from time to time.
3.present queue stays 1-3/3
4.if present a frame for every vsync not enabled I have Present errors all the time, with it enabled I don't have any.

EDIT : Wow,,, if you keep 3DTV enabled, it fucks the MS performance from 22ms to 35ms just by it enabled.

Can anyone help with that saying if they have the same issue ? 970 GTX

I had an issue with DirectX 11 not working on my computer. My hard drive failed so I re-installed windows clean on a SSD.

Now, DirectX 11 does work. When playing videos with madVR alone, it looks fine. When combining with SVP, however, the image keeps skipping back and forth.

Does DX11 provide a performance improvement over overlay mode?

When D3D11 path is activated, D3D11 debug runtime reports some objects leaking. I think if you create device with D3D11_CREATE_DEVICE_DEBUG flag you should see them in debug output

I have a problem with Potplayer x64, if I use Madvr everything is black out but there is sound and I can scroll to see on the thumbnails previews. If I disable madvr the video is back. potplayer x32 works fine.
I tried reinstalling potplayer x64 5 times, trying different configurations, just black screen as soon as I try Renderer Madvr

Someone already mentioned it, but it would not do any good forcing your system to output 10-bit if your monitor/screen/tv is limited to 8-bit. Like previously stated it can make your image worse.
Perhaps your source video is the problem. If the source/video is lower bit than the screen you're displaying on then you're going to get a worse quality picture/video than you would if the source matched your screen bit depth. Having a 10-bit source is ideal for displaying 10-bit mode on a 10-bit screen. If you think you can see dithering with your madVR settings set to 8 or 10-bit for your screen do the bit changing test I posted above. Toggle through each setting from 1-bit all the way to 10-bit in your madVR settings, and see how the dithering effects become less and less noticeable. Once you get to 5 or 6-bit you shouldn't be able to see the dithering pattern/effects any longer. Still think you're seeing dithering? Its far more likely that you've got a bad/noisy/grainy/garbage filled source or your scaling choices are adding artifacts to the video.

No, I am saying that nVidia drivers allow me to select only 8bit in nVidia CP options, not madVR. I can select 10bit in madVR - madVR is not the problem. I am also trying to say that I can see obvious dithering everywhere (when I get close enough to the screen) - on desktop, when browsing, in all games, etc. because this monitor does use 8bit + FRC , but as I said, nVidia drivers won't let me truly use 10bit. Selecting 10bit in madVR makes no sense if nVidia drivers won't let me select 10bit in nVidia CP options. Dithering on my display means nVidia drivers are wrong that it is only 8bit and I was wondering if there was a way to force 10bit selection from within nVidia CP or through registry editions ("hacks").

Since you report it works fine with madVR alone, but not with SVP your problem sounds like its with SVP not madVR. I suggest you post on the SVP forum/contact the SVP group since the problem only occurs when you're running SVP.

Since your problem is with x64 and not x32 one of your other x64 drivers/files/filters could be the issue. Do you have the latest x64 LAV filters installed? If you right-click on a black video screen and select filters what is listed?

Is it?

Filters currently loaded:
- Default DirectSound Device
- XySubFilter (=> madVR)
- madVR
- LAV Audio Decoder
- LAV Video Decoder
- LAV Splitter Source

or are other filters listed?

Just because your screen does 8-bit+FRC does not mean it actually accepts more than 8-bit input, or accepts it on every input type.
If it accepts DP and HDMI, try both. If you're running particularly high resolution or refresh rate, try a lower one. Maybe its exceeding bitrate limits.

Or it just doesn't accept it at all, and uses the FRC after its internal color/gamma processing.

Yes it's LAV 0.65

Why splitter source ? I registered the Lav Splitter , no Lav Splitter Source

SVP works fine. SVP's job is to provide 60 fps, period. With DirectX 9 rendering path, it works perfectly.

Somehow, the DirectX 11 rendering path isn't working with a source of 60fps. CPU is running only at 30-40% so it's not a CPU overload.

WOW! My 2009 Samsung CCFL SPVA LCD HDTV can do 12bits, but only @ 23Hz because @ 60Hz I get all kinds of strange artifacts all over the screen! Yey! I don't see any dithering on desktop or anywhere else though, aside from madVR.

Both SVP and 60p content works for me with DX11, using Geforce 750Ti, Win8.1 x64 and drivers v352.86.

Check with some "true" 60p files (not SVP), to see if your problem is limited to SVP or all high framerate content.
Check SVP content with some light setting in madVR, even all bilinear scaling to make sure it's not some performance problem.

Its all the way from 2009 though! Still, image quality at 12bit + Ordered dithering is much better than with 8bit + ED dithering! All transitions are SO SMOOTH!

Is it possible to measure the actual output through ArgyllCMS?

Anyone else getting a black screen in "D3D11 exclusive (10 bit)" mode in Windows 10TP with the new 352.84 Nvidia drivers? It's fine when using 8 bit but 10 bit gives a black screen.

I was using the Windows 8.1 350.12 drivers before this and had no issues...

i get a picture with 10 bit d3d11.
using a 760 and 352.84 on windows 10 10074
8 bit crashed my system after exit.

I'm not sure what was wrong before, but my issue with the 352.84 drivers has been fixed with build 10122. Maybe you should give it a shot.

WOW! My 2009 Samsung CCFL SPVA LCD HDTV can do 12bits, but only @ 23Hz because @ 60Hz I get all kinds of strange artifacts all over the screen! Yey! I don't see any dithering on desktop or anywhere else though, aside from madVR.

Strange, with my panasonic plasma ST50 I can only output 12 bit when I am @23hz too.... 8 bit is the only option available in the nvidia control panel when I am @ 60hz????

Both SVP and 60p content works for me with DX11, using Geforce 750Ti, Win8.1 x64 and drivers v352.86.

Check with some "true" 60p files (not SVP), to see if your problem is limited to SVP or all high framerate content.
Check SVP content with some light setting in madVR, even all bilinear scaling to make sure it's not some performance problem.
I downloaded a 60fps video from YouTube and it skips back and forth with DirectX 11. SVP is off.

It's a fresh install and I'm still using the default madVR settings and rendering times are 2ms.

Here's a screenshot of the stats.

Ah... turns out it was "somewhat" working because I was running on the Intel HD 4000!

If I configure it to run on the Radeon HD 7670M, then all it does is a black screen just like before.

Eh? AFAIK the display determines the HDMI version, unless it is HDMI 2.0, but even that may not be true...

Most of the time, LCD's still use the same er...hard to explain, but even when 23Hz is selected, the actual refresh is still 60Hz-kind-of, UNLESS your TV has a 48Hz / 72Hz / 96Hz mode. If you use a low-speed HDMI cable, it may be a limiting factor on which combinations of resolution, refresh rate and bitdepth are available.
There is two types of HDMI cables, "standard" and "high speed".

What is the difference between LAV Splitter and LAV Splitter Source?

I know Telion already replied to your question, but here is another link to one of nevcairiel's posts about the difference between LAV Splitter and LAV Splitter Source:

http://forum.doom9.org/showpost.php?p=1491938&postcount=1583%9E

To generalize LAV splitter source is the older filter, and LAV splitter is the newer one. The non-source one has some benefits over the splitter version, but from a performance standpoint they are pretty equal.

X7007, Does your PotPlayer x32 report those same filters, or different filters to the x64?
What do you have set for "Built-in Video processing filter settings" (when you click on filter management on that box)? The Built-In video processing could be interfering with LAV/MadVR. You could try "Condition:" set to "Disabled" if you don't already have that set, and see if it makes a difference.
I'm sure in preferences you've already changed Video -> Video Renderer to Madshi Video Renderer.
In addition to that I'd recommend you go to the Filter Priority (Overall) area in Filter Control and make sure LAV Splitter, LAV Audio Decoder, LAV Video Decorder, and LAV Splitter Source are all added and set to Prefer. (If you don't already).

Madshi video renderer ?!? Madshi is that one of your legitimate filters?

X7007 you could try setting that as a blocked filter in your media player, and see if it uses madVR instead. Does your PotPlayer x32 report those same filters, or different filters to the x64?

that's madVR in this case.

this is technical very unlikely. madVR is a directshow filter while windows media player is kind of dead and replaced with the new "video" player that is media foundation.

48 and 72 hz are not part of the HDMI spec.

I don't know what you mean by that, but 48Hz and 72Hz and even 96Hz modes do exist, specifically to remove all judder. Also 48Hz mode flickers when there is a lot of bright white. Some people keep saying LCD's cannot flicker, but at 48Hz they undeniably do and everyone who has a 48Hz mode will support that claim. But then again, I am not sure what the implication was...

this has to do with BFI/backlight scanning and without that it can't flicker it's technical totally impossible. 24 hz material played at 24, 48, 72, 96, 120 or 144 hz looks the same without BFI/backlight scanning. that simply how sample hold displays work. than there are things like frame interpolation

samsung has a true cinema mode or something like that for smooth 24 hz playback it does 48/96 hz know from there plasma screens. but the need for that mode is just a flaw from samsung without that it is doing a 3:2 pull down to 60 hz. even a cheap low end Phillips can do 24 hz out off the box without a special "mode".

Dunno what your problem is exactly, if you do extract out an old install.bat compare it against your one.

0.88.8's install.bat is exactly the same as with previous versions so if that fixes your issue I can't imagine it would be related to madVR (corruption? permissions?)
