Im sorry, and all the versions. Maybe spmoething is outdated! I'd suggest you do the MUX from the command line to see what error was returned.

Of course all paths would have to be legitimate.

I am trying movie only of Taken with 24.02. I will send the error msg if and when it occurs this time. Big M.A.S.H. fan huh? I knew I liked you! Is there a list of what versions and settings every support software piece needs to be?

@jdobbs;
The bug introduced in BD-RBV02401 is gone!!
BD-RBV02402 worked perfectly again for Die Hard 2, and I will burn to BD-RE and test on my standalone also shortly. Cograts on finding that one so quickly.
The shutdown on completion is a great add. I really appreciate that one too. Thanks. :D

"After the install, run "Video Decoder Configuration" for FFDSHOW from the "START/Programs" menu, and make sure MPEG2 decoding is enabled."
Is "libavcodec" mean enabled? I am just trying to cover all possibilities!

I may have spoke to soon. The test on PowerDVD does seem to work properly, but the burned BD-RE does not have the HD audio working.
BDInfo shows HD DTS Master audio is present, as does tsMuxeR, but it is not heard on playback on my Sony BDP-BX1.
I notice when selecting the audio button on the remote to change audio tracks, there is no audio heard, only silence on the removed French and Spanish DTS-HD tracks as well as the English DTS-HD track. I believe in BD-RB versions of past, the English audio track was heard even when scrolling thru the removed other audio tracks. Now there is only silence. Is that normal? For this disc, DTS HD English is the default audio track, and when the movie starts, video is playing normally, but just silence for audio. I did keep the DD AC3 track also, as well as the directors comments tracks, and those do work properly. So when I change audio tracks, I can get to a working DD track and the commentary tracks.
Also, when first played back on the BDP-BX1, if I do not select a menu button after the intro warnings finish and the menu starts, menu audio is only heard for the first loop of the menu, then silence as the motion menu video continues.
With PowerDVD, audio is heard after the first loop thru the menu and continues as long as a button is not selected, which would appear to be the proper way.
EDIT: add INF file.

greatzz Kooibosmania They are still there in the MPLS, but they have been adjusted to point to one of the audio streams that were retained. It isn't left untouched -- but you can't just "remove" the reference to the audio from the MPLS or you might make other functions have issues.

EDIT: add INF file. Nothing has changed related to that. It sounds like a player issue. You are connected via HDMI, right?

Regarding "aquanash" and "Frost/Nixon":
In an earlier post to this thread by "aquanash", he/she stated:I've been using BDedit to manually add the SetStream command to force subtitles.Might this be related to, or the cause of the elimination of all but the first and last chapter markers?

Nothing has changed related to that. It sounds like a player issue. You are connected via HDMI, right?
Yes, HDMI.
I rechecked and nothing has changed on my end.
I have no trouble with Die Hard, which was done with BD-RBV02302, and DTS HD Master audio plays fine. Also, when I select thru the different audio tracks, if DTS HD english is selected, it is heard even when I select DTS HD French or DTS HD Spanish. Not with BD-RBV02402, there is only silence.
Also, my tv screen, with the signal from bluray player, says DTS HD Master as well as my receiver when playing Die Hard, but with Die Hard 2, the tv screen says DTS HD Master, but the receiver says stereo, and no sound is heard. If I select the Dolby Digital track, audio is heard and the tv and receiver both say Dolby Digital. I hope that makes sense.
Could there be an issue with the .mpls or .clpi not passing the selected audio source on to connect with the HD DTS audio file? ( not sure if I am relaying that correctly either)

Still doesn't work...
Just done "The Day The Earth Stood Still" again with 0.24.02 still having problems. Encode seems to go fine with no errors. Played the resulting burnt BD25 in PowerDVD9.
Main menu loads fine but when you go to play the main movie the FOX logo appears followed by the FBI warning and then...nothing. Same results from going to chaper selection. Just a blank screen...
So something is wrong somewhere still :)

Hi!Played the resulting burnt BD25 in PowerDVD9.
Main menu loads fine but when you go to play the main movie the FOX logo appears followed by the FBI warning and then...nothing. Same results from going to chaper selection. Just a blank screen...Based on all of the playback inconsistencies between software and standalone players, noted in several threads here, perhaps you should try playing your burned disc on a standalone player (or several different ones, if available) before concluding thatSo something is wrong somewhere still
As an example, I had done a full disc backup of "Sex Drive". It starts out with a first menu providing for the choice of either "Theatrical" or "Unrated" versions.. With PowerDVD (v.7.3 with NO updates), after selecting one or the other, PowerDVD would just hang. On the other hand, a SONY 550 played the entire disc perfectly...

Not really, because the original DOES work in PowerDVD9. ;)
If the original works and the backup doesn't in the same player then the backup isn't being made correctly and there is a problem with BD-Rebuilder. Obviously this is assuming that there isn't a media compatibility problem etc. Which there isn't since its a software player.
Ahhh anyways, this is a similar problem to whats being reported already and seems to be related to PiP still...

Not really, because the original DOES work in PowerDVD9.By now, I'm sure you understand that in the world of computers and standalone players, anything is possible ;>}
So, (I understand that the choice is yours) presuming you have a standalone player available, why not just take the few seconds to try and play it on your standalone player?

Tried it out and it DOES play the main movie on my Sony S550. However it seems to keep hanging (picture\video freezes). You can skip a chapeter and it will play then few seconds later freeze again. Tested it again with a new BD-RE then looked at original and it seems that the freezing happens around the point the PIP video pops up to show how the special effects were made.

Agreed, that's what it seems like, something must have happened during the rip (I used anydvd to rip to iso). But what is strange is that I can see the chapters fine in eac3to. But like I said, I haven't seen this with any other disc, so I'll just assume something is wrong with my rip. I'll report back if I see this issue happen again with other discs.

Hello chudm.
Why don't you test burn on BD-RE and prevent having the cost of just ending up with a bunch of coasters. Could be your media, hardware, software or many possibilities, but media is usually the culprit. Try another Movie Title and hope for better results.
Good Luck.

Coming back with my problem now buried in the depths of the forum. All my output videos converted with bdrebuilder are reencoded in 4/3. It seems to be a DirectShow problem in fact. I tried to open several videos of various sizes, using each time avs scripts with Directshow, they all appear as 4/3 when opened in Virtual Dub...
This is what mediainfo says of the VID_00011.AVS.MKV that I found in the Work Files folder (the movie I reencoded was "Gandhi" R B)

Sorry it took so long to get back - I tried the new beta (24.02) on death race and am still getting the same GUI error,(GUI issue, etc) I tried it twice to be sure. It happens at different points in the streams, but is still there.

BD-RB doesn't get the aspect ratio from DirectShow -- it gets it from the CLPI file of the original. But, even with that said, unless the source was encoded 720:480/576 the sar is set to 1:1 when it reencodes. You can look at the actual command line used to encode the last component -- it is stored in LASTCMD.TXT which is in the BD-RB folder.

It happens at different points in the streams, but is still there. Honestly I haven't a clue. I first heard of that problem when I changed the way the GUI was getting the window handle from the operating system. I could never figure out why it didn't work for some (it never happened on mine), so I just switched back to the original method. Since I did that it appears for work correctly on all systems except yours. I've gone over the code with a fine tooth comb. It is correct. That only leaves the operating system. I put that message in the LOG to show that after trying multiple times through system calls, the operating system would not return the X264 window handle.

Has anyone tried PiP with the new version? I know the sound is missing, but is the picture working? My Sony BDP S-301 player doesn't support PiP so I haven't been able to test it.

Cool. It appears I may be able to get the secondary audio to work for the next version, but only if it is DD+. I still haven't found a way to get it to work for DTS-HD.

Can I adjust target size in BD-RB to back-up movie only with one audio track and subs to DVD-9?
It keeps on undersizing, sometimes 200MB, latest version undersized 434MB.

Hello chudm.
Why don't you test burn on BD-RE and prevent having the cost of just ending up with a bunch of coasters. Could be your media, hardware, software or many possibilities, but media is usually the culprit. Try another Movie Title and hope for better results.
Good Luck.
hi chiamos, thx for the advice, but id alredy ordered one (i have to order it from amazon.com, then use a currier to send it from usa to venezuela) hahaha, its a very expensive way to get things, but... in venezuela you dont see this stuff, its new, and im tired of looking for bd-r or bd-re here

Yes indeed, I've seen it and it's correct...
As is the clpi, it does give the video as 16:9 (I opened it with CLIPINF editor). In the output video, the clpi files reads the a:r as 4:3
All the encodes (2 others : The Professionals and Southland tales) had the same problem. I had used older versions bdrebuilder on 3 or 4 bd's and did not have any problem.
Any DirectShow script I open (whether the source is a vob file or a mkv ) has the same problem. It opens as 4:3 with black bars !

I'm encoding King Kong US version right now. It has PiP. Should be able to test result in a couple of hours on PS3. Full Backup to BD25. And just so I understand right after been away so long from testing. There shouldn't be any issues with PS3 full backup BD25 playback, yes? The reason that I ask is that I have had no success with the three last builds(before the newest one, which will be tested later tonight or tomorrow) on Afro Samurai Resurrection US.
One odd thing I saw today while encoding KK. BD-RB froze/stopped responding when doing some multiplexing. Took like forever. Haven't seen that before. Is that normal? Will post logs later on.

For what its worth... I set the custom size to 8250mb and its usually 98% or 99% according to ImgBurn. I'd much rather end up a litttle undersized than oversized. I think someone said they used 8300mb as the custom size for BD9.
After setting the custom size in Settings, just select the custom size instead of BD9 for output.

jdobbs maybe this is why your backup of TDTESS works fine due to using a profile 1.0 player?

Dunno on the BD-RE. But I'm pretty sure that the problem we're expericening is due to the PIP tracks on the discs. I know Kung Fu Panda has at least 2 video tracks in the main movie.
I'll bet that the older version works fine.

Is there any work-around based upon commercial encoders, similar to the way of getting around the vc-1 issue?

It keeps on undersizing, sometimes 200MB, latest version undersized 434MB. What version are you using? The latest has improved sizing. But 200MB is still still accurate to within 2.5% -- which is exactly where it is supposed to be by design.
But, yes. You can set the custom size to whatever you'd like.
