I had this issue with the new grindhouse, I had to remove hd audio and copy only one audio stream, then it worked. I'm not happy with this, but it did work

Good friends and was an extra of 1,700 Kb remove that title, and send it to recode works well without problems.
Thanks..

for those getting errors, have you tried to process in Safe Mode? I've found that my problems didn't show up if processed in Safe Mode. This is probably due to stray files left behind from uninstalls and reinstallations. I ran a registry cleaner from tweaknow, to remove any stray files and it seemed to have done the trick...so far.

Hello jdobbs;
I would like to know if there is an solution relative the CINAVIA watermark about removing that?
- i've found over the net to rebuild the BD with an AACS protection back to the master to bypass the protection, but i can't found any thread about which software can add back an ACCS encryption.

Hello jdobbs;

- i've found over the net to rebuild the BD with an AACS protection back to the master to bypass the protection, but i can't found any thread about which software can add back an ACCS encryption. I'm sorry, but I just don't see what that has to do with this thread or BD Rebuilder? BD Rebuilder does not deal with encryption/decryption or protections in any way, shape, or form.
Please try to keep focused on the correct subject matter (Rule 3). There is an entire Doom9 subforum (http://forum.doom9.org/forumdisplay.php?f=9) dedicated to decryption. Within that forum there is an entire thread dedicated to Cinavia (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=155777).

Jdobbs : I've just rebuilt the PIXAR Shorts Vol.1 and I have another .mpls issue. This BD have original IN time at 10:00:000 instead of habitual 00:00:11.650, the rebuilded mpls have the OUT TIME set with 00:00:11.650 more than the original. It makes playing shorts 11s longer than its original and the original m2ts real duration and could cause issues on some players. Not sure how that could happen. I have that disc. I'm looking at it now.

and it still is having problems. I am using the latest beta. Here are my logs and other info.

magpowerzip Thanks. I just wanted to see if there were multiple parts (.WAV files) so determine if that could be the root of the problem.

@SoniG
Can you give me some more information as to where to look for the problem? I completed the encode, and everything seems to look right to me.

I re-did Cars and there are 2 WAV files created for VID_00060.
They are as follows:
00060.track_4352.1
00060.track_4352.2

While I was backing up my Planet Earth Blu-Ray I encountered a problem.
I selected each of the episodes as separately and put them into the batch. I then ran the batch and instead of 3 folders each with a separate episode, I had 1 folder with the last episode in it.
I looked at the batch and each playlist was named the same name. My assumption is that BD-Rebuilder overwrote each folder because they were named the same thing in the batch.
I found a work around by editing the batchbd.ini externally and renaming each play list separately.
The fix would be to either 1) Allow the renaming of each batch entry in the batch tab 2) Have BD-Rebuilder automatically rename a folder with numbers to denote a different one.

I'll look at it. What I might do is add a numeric extension to the name if the output folder already exists (when in batch mode).

I had a similar thought with Dvd rebuilder. I ran Batch once upon a time, with the output to the same directory. Needless to say, batch mode ran 4 jobs, and I ended up with only the final one completed. I learned my lesson that night LOL! ALWAYS change the ouput directory LOL! Or create an image file ;)

I have updated the first post of this thread with a link to a new version of BD-RB (v0.36.01). Changes for this release:- Added the ability to create DVD backups of your
blu-ray disc. The backup can be selected under
the "Alternate Movie-Only Output" when movie-
only mode is in effect. A ready-to-burn structure
is created in the working folder. Subtitles are
not supported, expect them in a future release.
- Added a new selection to the SETUP dialog called
"Assume PAL for DVD Output". This auto-converts
non-PAL sources to 25fps, 720x576 (for DVD output
only).
- Increased the BD-25 target size value slightly to
use more of available space.
- Corrected an issue in which stopping BD-RB during
audio encoding would leave the WAVI and AFTEN
processes running. As a result, restarting soon
afterward could cause unpredictable anomalies in
the audio, including sync and size issues.
- Changed an option in X264 command line that may
have caused "crash" on certain types of sources.
- Added check to ensure original video is not kept
intact when filter use is enabled.
- Removed inverse telecining from the streams menu.
Too many people don't understand IVTC and are
using it incorrectly. If you wish to IVTC, just
select it in SETUP. If you want it back -- add
the hidden value "IVTC_SELECTION=1" to the BD-RB
configuration (INI) file.
- Added 720x480 and 720x576 as output options to
Alternate output choices. Note that you cannot
use this size for iPOD output as it is larger
than the 640x480 maximum for that device.
- Corrected an error in which the frame rate was
set incorrectly for MP4 output when using
ALTERNATE output and IVTC was active.
- Fixed incorrect pass reporting during alternate
output to MKV.
- Updated the included version of X264.EXE to the
latest release (r1745).
- Updated the included version of X264-54.EXE to
the latest release (r1745).
- Other minor corrections and cosmetic fixes.

When I backup my kids Disney Blu-Ray discs there are what I call "artifacts", what looks like the picture being a bunch of squares with the playback.
When I look at the original stream folder I notice that the Disney Blu-rays have a lot more files than most of my other Blu-Rays. My guess is that the artifacts are occurring where the files are meshing together.

More likely it has to do with the bitrate of the reencoded files. Are you doing a full movie backup, and if so is it to BD5? Check to see what the BD-RB log file says the bitrate is for the .m2ts files you see the blocking on.

Hi,
Just updated to 36.01, and ran 'inspect' just to check all was well.
It's not.
I'm getting: "FFDSHOW_RAW_AUDIO: Not recommended setting"
I've read and re-read the first post and cannot find anything saying what the recommended setting is.
I've just looked in Start-All Progs-ffdshow-audio decoder config.
It's a rather bewildering array of options!
The most likely candidate I can see is the very last one 'uncompressed', which is currently set to 'disabled'.
Hoping that I could just 'enable' it, I clicked the drop-down and was presented with a long list of possible data types.
So which parameter do I actually need to change, and what value do I need to change it to?
<edit>: Yes, I found a post that says it should be set to 'all supported', and inspect seems happy.
Would it be possible to update the first post to include a more comprehensive list of 'recommended settings'?
Thanks,
SC

Thanks,
SC When you run BD Rebuilder the first time it will update it for you (assuming it has never been run before). The reason I added that check is that sometimes folks are reporting errors on WAV reencoding due to the fact that there is no directshow codec set to playback LPCM.
I'll update the first post.

I am but a novice in this you are the expert and the coder. All I can report is what I have observed in my use of the product, which I am a big fan of.
Every one of my Disney Blu-rays have the same problem. I will do a little more investigation to try and isolate the problem. Are you playing back on a standalone player or a PC? I'm not seeing any issues on my standalone.
[Edit] I'm trying it again with some different settings...

Thanks for the DVD output option. I just did a BD25 to DVD5 re-encode of Toy Story 3. There are a few of things I noticed.
1. The target BD size says 22.90 GB.
2. The final output was only 4.06 GB (4,367,894,528 bytes) in size.
3. Would it be possible to have the HCencoder window visible while the re-encode is happening?

Hi, since the first time I am using this wonderful application (thanks, jdobbs!) it is not very friendly to languages other than english. :) That means, even though I have selected german and english in the setup, languages to keep, BD Rebuilder always is keeping english language only and discarding german language, so I have to activate german language manually before encode (and, believe me, for the BD 'Cars' this takes some minutes...) Nevertheless, up to version 3406 I think, I could do it this way, but since I upgraded to version 3407 and 3601, german audio tracks are completely ignored, even when I have selected them manually. All the other stuff (menus, legal warnings, and so on) is in german language, but it's not possible to chose german audio track in the language menu, it feels as if the german language tracks all have been removed.
BD is 'Cars', region 'B', ripped with DVD Fab versions 8005 up to 8032.
Any ideas what this could be?

Thanks for the awesome application.1. I've removed the target size log line when outputting to DVD.
2. I'll review the output size calculator. It should be outputting 4.20GB.
3. You can add "SHOW_ENCODER=1" to the INI file to show HC Encoder.

Any ideas what this could be? It treats all languages exactly the same and the exact same code is executed for all. The difference is probably that there are two different ISO codes in use for German (DEU and GER) -- make sure you select both ot them in SETUP.
Also -- make sure the tracks are actually still there after ripping.

Thanks for the dvd output option. I did a few runs using dvd5 output and got sizes consistent with the other poster's note. In the range 4.0 to 4.06 GB as shown by Explorer. I did one with dvd9 output and got a folder size about 5.2 GB for a 90 minute film. The results all looked good. No audio sync or other issues. On one run I burned in forced subs using the avs filter options. All came out fine. The conversions all completed on my quad within the run time of the films. Which is great. Thanks again. :)

Thanks again. :) The 5.2GB DVD-9 output is due to the maximum video bitrate limitations of DVD. I use an average bitrate of no more than 8500 Kbs and a maximum (peak) rate of 9000 Kbs to ensure there is room for audio and VBR adjustment. 90 minutes isn't long enough to fill a DVD-9.
I'm not sure why the DVD-5 size is so small. I must be calculating something wrong.

is there an option to use DTS core audio rather than encode the dtshd down to ac3? I know its possible in tsmuxer but cant see that option in bdrb, or am i missing somthing?

Read the audio information post in the Frequently Asked Questions sticky (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=157143) for specifics.

Well, after several attempts I've decided the problem has to be on your end somewhere. Maybe your playback CODEC? I did several discs, the lastest being "Toy Story 3", and can't repeat the issue. They all work perfectly on my standalone player.

Hi jdobbs, thanks for your advice.

You where absolutely right, shame on me, I didn't notice the second ISO code in setup.
Also -- make sure the tracks are actually still there after ripping.
I am an absolute newbie in terms of blu ray, how can I do this?
Anyways, I will run a new encode with the new setup and see what will happen.
Many thanks again.

jdobbs,
not sure what changed 36.01 but something has changed for the worse, I have tried 36.01 on two movies dvd5 and dvd9 on both movies neither play on my panasonic player where they have all played up to version 35.01. I did them both over with 35.01 and they work fine using 35.01. Not sure if the logs will help you let me know if I can send them to you.
Thanks,
Shuttle99
