Just seems odd that if I use the previous build of BD rebuilder everything works fine, just the latest one causes the issue.

What I'd try is, reload the original rip & do movie only, EXCEPT, set a "custom target size" slightly larger than the movie.
Pick between theatrical & unrated, set the sound & subs you're keeping & then rebuild that. BD-RB will reassemble the multiple m2ts files into one contiguous file without doing any video recode & output a new "full size", movie only, BluRay structure.
Then, load that new output into BD-RB & rebuild it to whatever media size you like. Then see if you have sound sync.
OK, I really don't understand why this worked, but IT WORKED! Thank you!

Just seems odd that if I use the previous build of BD rebuilder everything works fine, just the latest one causes the issue. I found it. It was caused by some new code I added to support LAVF. I'll post a fix later today.

I have updated the first post of this thread with a link to a new release of BD-RB (v0.34.09). Changes for this release:- Fixed ALTERNATE CRF encoding that was broken in
v0.34.08.
- Corrected an issue in which encoding of secondary
tracks would fail if using the LAVF decoder.
- Updated the included version of X264-64.EXE to the
latest release (r1713).
- Other minor corrections and cosmetic fixes.

Thank you for the update! :) Running a test now, Ipad profile, movie is 2:06:01, with CRF 26. I will report my results.
EDIT:
Time to complete - 2hrs 24min.
File size - 1.37GB
Quality - Excellent... hard to believe it can look so good! :D

I am running XP sp3 inside of Parallels. I did get Media Player 11, but did not find anyhing useful when I googled for "WMV11" from Microsoft. I presume that was meant to mean "Windows Media Player 11" which would include the WMV11 codec. However, I went to FFDSHOW to activate VC-1 for WMV11 but only had the choice for "wmv9", so apparently I did not get "WMV11". Maybe that's my problem...
Anyways, that's my first report.
Cheers,

** edit ** just keeps climbing lol 100+ already. Sweet a 2.3GB file analyzed in 20min I'm having some good luck with it too. I did some testing today on a secondary video that was VC-1 720x480. With the standard setup and 32bit X264 I got 188fps. Pretty good in my book. But in 64bit X264 mode with LAVF -->>> 340fps!!!

Bill If you have Windows Media Player 11 installed on Windows XP, you can just select "Disabled" (Windows XP only, not Windows 7) -- but wmv9 will work also.
The error you reported is saying that some files already exist when BD-RB is trying to create them in the working folder... I think it may be something peculiar in your setup -- that section of code gets hit for every encode on every job done.

The error message that is returned from TSMUXER isn't normally enough to make a demux fail. Any chance your system might be overclocked, or anything else that might make TSMUXER unstable?
The Russell Crowe "Robin Hood"? Has that been released? In the U.S. it isn't due out until Sep 21st.

hi,
first thx a lot for this fantastic program!!! :D
i have just 2 quick questions (i hope)
and sorry for my english :)
i read in the release note this:
- Fixed ALTERNATE CRF encoding that was broken in
v0.34.08.
- Corrected an issue in which encoding of secondary
tracks would fail if using the LAVF decoder.
- Updated the included version of X264-64.EXE to the
latest release (r1713).
- Other minor corrections and cosmetic fixes.
just 2 question:
1) this mean that, if i use windows 7 64bit, it'll use "X264-64" by default or i have to set something?
2) which version of ffdshow i have to install, the tryout or clsid? ....And i have to install both 32 & 64 bit using windows 7 64 bit?
2b) PS: i see that about the clsid version i found both 32 and 64 bit version "updated", about the tryout i found only the 32 updated,
the 64bit version is too old. So, which one is better and i have to install both 32 and 64?
ok maybe this question have been already answered but about 474pages...
hope someone is so sweet to answer me!
thx :)

Found a bug that isnt in the coding but in the saving of settings. If i tick the box "keep only BDMV/Certificate folders" and press save, i can go to the setup menu right again and see the tickbox unchecked. The bdmv setting isnt getting saved properly. As there is no option for this in hiddenopts.txt i can't set it manually. Any fix ?
@blackwalker:
1) you need to go to the settings menu, and under general encoding options tick the box where it sais "Use X264's internal LAVF for encoding"
2) you install ONLY the ffdshow, haali & other required tools linked on the VERY FIRST POST ON THE VERY FIRST PAGE of this topic. You don't update ever, unless the tools in that post get updated too.

I''ve used AnyDvd as usual for the rip, latest official version 6.6.8.3,now I've updated to the yesterday beta 6.6.8.7.I'm ripping it right now with another (I got 2 BR writers) external LG BR drive.Yes,Robin Hood with Crowe, here in Italy is out for rental since last week.Never had problems with BD Reb and with Tsmuxer...my pc isn't OC or similar

thx again!!! Yes. When the 64 bit version of X264 is used -- FFDSHOW and HAALI is not involved. The X264 internal LAVF demuxer is used for frame serving. One of the downsides to constant releases of FFDSHOW and HAALI is that they also include new bugs. For example -- I can tell you that the latest version of HAALI causes new issues with DTS that didn't exist in the recommended version.
You also have to remember that there times when LAVF cannot handle the source (such as with interlaced VC-1 sources). In those instances BD-RB reverts to 32 bit processing using FFDSHOW and HAALI.
The bottom line is that if you follow the first post exactly, BD Rebuilder will work every time. If you decide to "get creative" -- you're probably just causing yourself headaches -- and bug reports won't be accepted.
[Edit] removed the "preaching" -- sometimes I just talk too much.

As there is no option for this in hiddenopts.txt i can't set it manually. Any fix ? Yep, that's a bug. I've fixed the option BMDV/Certificate issue for the next release. The flag was misspelled in the load routine of the SETUP dialog and the checkbox wasn't being set correctly.
The INI includes a value:
BDMV_CERT_ONLY=n
If set to 1 -- only BMDV and CERTIFICATE folders are kept. If set to 0 -- all folders are kept.

Hmmz, just added that line manually to the ini file. However in the setup dialogue it's still unchecked. Spose this is just a graphical error then or does 34.09 disregard that setting due to the bug wether its set manually in the ini file or not. I'd be happy to test out 34.10 or 35.00 however you're gonna name it.
How's it goin btw on the DTS-E muxing ? I've got several rips from my original discs on my harddrive that included DTS-E, obviously can't rebuild them till there is a version that supports it. (don't mean to create pressure here, you're doing great work)

(don't mean to create pressure here, you're doing great work) You have to ignore what the SETUP dialog says. It isn't properly initializing the checkbox. The INI setting is what is important.
The DTS Express is a work in progress. The unfortuanate thing is that is seems to be getting slower with every step forward. The problem is that I'm working with three huge files (source M2TS, TSMuxer M2TS, and new destination M2TS) all at once.

So if i understand you correctly if i add the line BDMV_CERT_ONLY=1 to the ini file and my source folder has PS3 folders, they will not be in the end result ISO no matter what the setup dialogue sais. If u need some help with testing DTS-E, i can pm you my system specs if ya want. Its a more then adequate system :)

 Ok. I can see how the path can be changed. That occurs on a retry -- from "TO_M2TS/FROM_M2TS" activity. If appears that for some reason TSMUXER can't create the output file in the WORKING folder and its first attempt and is switching to the "TO/FROM M2TS" mode. Are you sure the program has access to that folder? You might also try a very short path for the working folder to see what affect that has. If there are a lot of parts, it may be exceeding the maximum number of characters on a command line.
Are there a lot of parts to the MOVIE_ONLY encode?
Just as a test, try running BD-RB as administrator and see if you get the same error. If not, it means you need to give privileges to the output folder.

If CPU usage is normal at 98%-100% in the second pass, isn't idle priority supposed to allow you to do other things in the mean time while encoding via 2nd pass? It doesn't seem like BD Rebuilder is doing this. I'm on a Quad Core CPU with 8gb of ram and have always had this problem. It's smooth as normal on the 1st pass no matter the priority level set, but on 2nd pass is horrible on any priority level, including idle.
Anyone else having this issue? It would be nice to multitask if this is indeed an issue or have a pause button set so the x264 task is not at 100%.

I think something broke in the last 0.34.09 update.
Made a full BD25 backup of Monsters vs. Aliens Region A. Previous versions made perfect back up (except out of sync PIP audio to video as previously reported and patiently waiting for fix). Played perfect in Power DVD 10 and Panasonic BD35 standalone.
Now I do full back up and there is no PIP secondary video but there is audio when playing on Panasonic player. It will not play in Power DVD at all.
I tried this with the new setting "Use x264's internal LAVF for decoding" both on and off with the same results.

Anyone else having issues similar on this or other movies?

Anything else you run has priority and should run fine when "Idle" is set. It does on my system.

@Moviewatcher666
Nothing has changed that should affect that (other than X264 versions) -- but I'll check it out.

I have an i7 system and have no issues on the second pass with my system slowing down, can still navigate and open other stuff with no problems

Yes,there are a lot of Movie-Only part to encode.I've tried with BD-RB as adminastrator and the result is this :

I've been encoding my copy of Robin Hood on 2 pass, High encode with 'quick encode for extras' turned off and so far it's at file 97 of 135 with no issues

i suppose that "2 pass" with encoder settings set to "Highest" is the better way to rencode, i mean about the quality ouput!!
is this correct?
(just to be sure :) )

Thanks

thank you very much You have filtering enabled, which opens the door for a thousand possible errors -- none of which are BD-RB. Disable it and try again. But I am a little concerned that the original is being keep anyway... filtering should prevent that.

Today I've tried to burn all the ROBIN HOOD disc on a BD-RE 50 Gb rewritable, without reencoding with RD-Reb,1:1 copy.
The disc is playing flawless on my PS3,so it wasn't a bad rip I think.Maybe BD-Reb has some problems with movies with a lot of Movie-Only files?Just asking :)
