I reloaded a saved project and re-ran it last night and it worked fine. I must have somehow inadvertently introduced some inconsistency in the setup info. I know I tried at one time to get two concurrent rebuilds going on one of the systems (I have an i7 2600k -Z68 system and thought I could pull if off). That is probably what caused a problem in the first instance - INI file changed midstream.
It would be nice if you could run multiple instances using separate workfile folders if you have the horsepower to do it. I also ran movie-only this morning and it worked as well.
You can run muliple instances -- just install BD-RB in two (or more) different folders -- and then set two (or more) different working folders. Each BD-RB installation works independently as long as they are installed in different paths.

"Enabled" would be either of those. When it isn't "disabled" it is "enabled".
I'm getting Component "MSCOMCTL.OCX" or dependencies not correctly registered.
Would it be easier just to uninstall and reinstall? I'm not sure it will work though, because I thought I did it right the first time. This is on a new hard drive with a new installation of W7x64.

Never mind. I used this incredible new tool called "Search";)

@HWK
Hi!
I wasn't seeking the solution for myself - just asking Av8R to be courteous and share and post the solution for "all to see" ;>}

To me, there are few worse things one can do on a board like this than to post a problem, and then say "nm I fixed it" without posting what the fix was! :devil:

Got this message on multiple rebuild attempts on two different systems for the movie "Gamer".
I have tried BD-9 and BD-25 both with and without LAVF.
Interestingly, BD Rebuilder log shows a negative bitrate on the clips that fail before the program stops.

My question is what setting changed for this to happen it is starting to really bug me! by the way I have default settings on in bdrebuilder in Windows 7, and I am making DVD5's That has to be something in the playback settings. In BD-RB the audio is either untouched, or it is decoded via NicAudio and encoded to AC3. What are you using for playback, I have to guess it is a software player that is somehow configured for NEO:6.

Using a Pioneer Standalone Blu-Ray player with an onkyo Receiver. And No when I check the DVD with mediainfo it is telling me the Audio track is DTS.

Using a Pioneer Standalone Blu-Ray player with an onkyo Receiver. And No when I check the DVD with mediainfo it is telling me the Audio track is DTS. It it has been run through BD-RB, and the track is still DTS, it is a bit-for-bit duplicate of the original and it has been simply extracted and remuxed (no processing of the audio itself whatsoever).

Yes it was run through BD-RB completely many different movies and they all keep coming out with a DTS audiotrack which I find strange because I was under the assumption that a DVD5 AVCHD couldn't do that, but here they are playing in NEO:6 on my pioneer Player. I would think maybe its a FFDSHOW issue? I have no clue but yes everything is being downsized to a DVD5 audio and video and I am getting a DTS audio Track every time.

One point to remember: DTS is never acceptable under the AVCHD standard. While some players will accept it, it is never a good idea to violate standards.

JDobbs this I understand and agree with you completely, my question was is there a setting messed up somewhere that is causing the output file to be DTS and not Pro-Logic II? I mean obviously there is I just can't figure out what application the setting is in.

@dfsooner
Could you post your entire log please? When you post portions of the log I can't get important information (such as original size, movie-only or full backup, output size, etc.). Post it inside a code box, that way it will be scrollable.

Will do, but I'll have to rerun it first.

You don't have to re-run the job to access a previous log. Every time you run BD-Rebuilder the log tab will start out blank, but all the previous logs are archived in a BD-Rebuilder log file in your "working" folder.

Will do, but I'll have to rerun it first. No need for that then. I'll run it a couple of ways, and if I can't repeat it I'll get your settings.

You don't have to re-run the job to access a previous log. Every time you run BD-Rebuilder the log tab will start out blank, but all the previous logs are archived in a BD-Rebuilder log file in your "working" folder.
You do if you deleted it!
I use a 60GB SSD for the working folder and have to clean it up periodically, particularly when I run things in batch mode.

Wow. Five secondary video tracks! I've never seen that before. I'd be willing to bet that has something to do with the problem.

Hi!
I wasn't seeking the solution for myself - just asking Av8R to be courteous and share and post the solution for "all to see" ;>}
Sorry, I thought I was being courteous since a "search" explained the answer far more thoroughly and succinctly than I could.

But did you set it up as required on the first page?
Maybe that's the thing, I don't have audio config or video config options attached to ffdshow. I remember it used to but it doesn't now. Even when I go to the program file folder it doesn't have those programs. (ffdshow_rev3882_20110613)

I would:
1. Re-boot and check under start>programs if config options are not there then:
2. Un-install then remove any stuff left left by the un-install string in windows explorer.
3. Re-install and check start>programs for the options.

Hopefully just a quick one.
I have been running BD-Rebuilder for a few months with no problems. My HD packeded in and so reinstalled everything. PC works fine. But RB errors out after a few seconds with Video Encode Fail. Inspect reveals no problems - all are 'ok'.
It does the same on all discs.
I am obviously missing something simple here.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
TIA.

I have uninstalled/reinstalled all associated programs and it now seems to work on The Human Planet, full discs.
The file oo81 in the log is the menu screen for the film.
It now seems to back up Cars in movie mode but errors out in Full discs.

Have you tried uninstalling all components and then reinstalling everything? Sometimes other software that is installed will "intercept" CODECs, causing problems, and give no indication of doing so. Also, if you have any "codec packs" installed -- remove them. All the CODECs you will ever need are included in FFDSHOW.
Interesting that the section where it is failing is only 24 frames long... have you changed MIN_M2TS_SIZE?
[Edit] Look like you posted while I was answering... BD-RB should recognize a menu and for BD-25 in most cases it should not change it.

It's just about a bare system, software wise. Just reinstalled a clean Windows. I don't understand the workings of RB or all the settings.
When I installed it about 6 months ago it worked straight out the box. Wonder if it is worth downgrading to an earlier version?

This is definately not the solution. you have a setup issue, Windows Admin. privilege issue, etc..:(
Where do you have BD-RB's install folder? Try putting it on the desktop or on C: directly.
