Can you post the contents of the MUX_00004.meta file? You should be able to just cut & paste it into a post here. I went through the code and can see no way what you posted can happen??? PiP maybe?
Here it is
MUXOPT --no-pcr-on-video-pid --new-audio-pes --blu-ray --vbr --auto-chapters=5 --vbv-len=500 --start-time=27000000
V_MPEGH/ISO/HEVC, "D:\WORK\WORKFILES\00004.track_4113.hevc", fps=23.976, contSPS
V_MPEGH/ISO/HEVC, "D:\WORK\WORKFILES\00004.track_4117.mpv", fps=23.976, secondary, contSPS
If you check the screenshot on my previous post there is no PiP.

I don't do my jobs using BD/50, as those discs are more expensive than BD/25s. Even though the discs that I buy are rated for 6x, IMGBurn sometimes sees them being able to do 8x (depends on the brand). I don't do any faster than 6x.
The BD/REs just keep on ticking.
They are. That's...why I only buy few of them...and I want them to last with the burner. I would be cool with 2x burns IF they were stable almost or / constantly. With current burner they aren't..except with BD-RE-25s. I don't always want to rerender an archived BD...every time I want to see it. :)
Anyway, choice is becoming very, very clear...Pioneer and I'm close to picking one.

Not much information to go with.
1. Are you playing it from BD or ALTERNATE source?
2. How did you merge the SRT with the original source?
3. Was the original source a BD or some other format?
4. If from other format -- was it imported with BD-RB?
A log can go a long way in helping...
Have you considered writing a Web Script for particular replies?
Hehe! Kidding, don't go into a diatribe on my account. Wink!

I guess I just never did any UHD tests in which there was a secondary track.

My Threadripper is hungry you know..:pUnderstood. But, just a point to remember -- BD-RB isn't ready for primetime if your intent is to reencode during your processing. I'm still working on some X265/TSMUXER issues.
If, though, you are not reencoding (as in your example post) you should be ok.

I think the remuxing is the main issue not the encoding. On the source i gave you in the pm when i set to the bd-rebuilder target size BD 50 and needed to reencode, it did fine, where it failed was the remuxing after encoded the first title of structure.

On the source i gave you in the pm when i set to the bd-rebuilder target size BD 50 and needed to reencode, it did fine, where it failed was the remuxing after encoded the first title of structure.Something weird going on here. The stream of the example you gave has another video stream included in it with a PID of 4117. That is an illegal PID based on the spec I have (which doesn't have UHD updates). That PID falls between the PID range used for MVC dependent tracks and the PID range used for PGS. Secondary streams normally start at PID 6912 (0x1B00) -- so that doesn't seem to fit (unless they've created a special PID for HEVC secondaries).
I looked at the extracted stream and while it is apparently HEVC (according to its TYPE flag), it looks like nothing but a blank green screen... so I'm confused as to what it represents.
If anyone has any information as to what this PID represents, I'd be interested to hear from you.

Dolby Vision?
jdobbs
7th November 2018, 18:23
Dolby Vision? It's a 1080p HEVC video stream that is the same length (in time) as the primary stream (which is 2160p) -- but it's nothing but a blank (green) screen. The primary video of that M2TS is nothing but one of the pop-up "Warning" screens. It's the same for other pop-ups (different languages) ... but that PID doesn't exist in the main feature.
I really wish I had a copy of the new UHD-BD spec... things would be so much easier. All this dumping and guessing gets old after a while.

JD, do you ever run backups to DVD-5 format? Because with the new version, it could be broken. I've attempted MKV to DVD, Blu-ray .iso to DVD, and the encoder crashes before it can even begin(I think the time stamp is relative to closing the encoder error window).
When it first occurred, I ran another movie to be sure I wasn't dealing with a corrupt stream. Same error occurred. But when I reverted to BD-Rebuilder version 5025 the job completed without a glitch.
The reason I still have that version, is I've been using it for quite some time without issue. But realized you have advanced the program substantially, and that I needed to update.

Both of the versions you mention are using the same version of HC Encoder.Hmmm... it looks like somehow the HCENCODER.EXE file in the tools folder has become corrupted. I just did a binary compare with an earlier release and it shows it has changed.
Copy HCENCODER.EXE from the tools folder of your previous version into the new one and it should be ok. Meanwhile I'm going to check other files as well to see if anything else was corrupted. I had a hard drive go bad a couple months back.... but when I recovered a backup to a new drive all seemed well. Maybe that wasn't the case for that file at least.
[Edit] I did a binary compare of all the other files in the tools folder -- it appears that one is the only one that doesn't match. I'm not sure how that could have happened -- but it obviously did.

This is also part of the reason I keep the last Beta of HCEncoder in an archive, and always rename the one that comes with BD-RB to disable it. The beta is a little nicer and quicker and support multitasking better. At least those where the tests from years ago...that I did. When I was using it a lot.

I rarely use eBay. Prices are usually high, and bidding goes a lot higher than it should for many items. For rare or "older" items I times use it....at times. The on-the-way drive should be good. If it is, I'll check eBay to see if it's lower priced because it's always good to have a backup that's also in great shape. But I also don't want used. Again, appreciate the help, all. Yay!

@Anyone who knows X265 better than me
Can someone tell me why when I set --level-idc 5.1 and try to set --high-tier in X265 it doesn't work (the encoder tells me it is "5.1 Main Tier")??? I can set the level to 5.0 and it accepts high tier but not 5.1...
The UHD spec (at least the UHD White Paper) requires Level 5.1 and High Tier.

Do you have --uhd-bd set? Are you using --bitrate in range allowed in main tier (<=40,000)? Do you have --no-high-tier set as well (accidentally)? No. I don't have --uhd-bd set. I've found that I cannot create a working UHD structure if I have it set. It forces --no-open-gop on when it is set (even though the White Paper says UHD accepts open GOPs)... and if I run a UHD encode through TSMUXER without open GOPs the audio sync goes way out. I have no idea why. So I manually set all the other options enabled by "--uhd-bd"
In this particular encode I was using a CRF setting rather than bitrate. The VBV-MAXRATE happens to be below the maximum bitrate for Level 5.1/High-Tier -- does that make it adjust down?
No. I don't have --no-high-tier set.

You mean below maximum for main tier? Yes, that seems to be the case.
I guess it's not possible without --uhd-bd.
About open-gop: I wouldn't just assume x265's open-gop is allowed on Blu-Ray. There are different styles of doing it and my guess is the x265 devs deactivated it for --uhd-bd because their way is not compatible with the Blu-Ray specs. x264 changes its open-gop style somehow when you activate --bluray-compat IIRC.
(I have never read any actual explanation by the x265 devs so this is simply my guess.)

(I have never read any actual explanation by the x265 devs so this is simply my guess.) I've been using HEVCBrowser to look at original HEVC streams and comparing them to those created by X265 to try and put my finger on what is different. TSMUXER can mux the originals with no issues... but those I've created with X265 always have some type of issue. The latest is stuttering when you get later into a film.
Unfortunately setting --uhd-bd isn't an option right now -- because TSMUXER just won't mux it without huge audio desync (it gets way out of sync withing a few minutes of the start of a film) when --no-open-gop is set. I even dumped out all the PTS values for the audio and the video and compared them to the original... all were fine. Color me confused.
Interestingly, I can fix the stutter by encoding the movie in 15 minute segments and using TSMUXER to combine them. But then it seems to have issues at the joins and the audio goes out of sync again. The same happens if I manually join the segments together and run that through TSMUXER. If I join the segments together with MKVMERGE into an MKV -- the sync is fine, so it isn't frame counts or anything like that.
I also found I could make the stutter delay further into the film by setting --slices 4 -- but it still starts well within an hour or so. Again... the original HEVC files have no issues at all -- some of them have up to 8 slices and others only 1 and it seems to mux and play back fine.
It's frustrating as hell. Every time I try to fix something a new issue shows up.

Would be nice if you can give us a version to fix remuxing issues to edit UHD with no need of reencoding.
Just to be able to remove unwanted languages/subs to make the new UHD smaller size, compared to original source to be able to burn them on BD-50.

I am 100% sure you have already thought of this........but with your programming expertise, why not make your own muxer, especially since tsmuxer is no longer updated? Or is that far more involved and difficult than I realize? Just a suggestion. I do appreciate your time and program.....use it every day. Thanks.

Later,
AcerjenIt's definitely not a simple matter. But, if it turns out that's the only way I can finally get UHD to work, I may have to just do it.

Hi, I just tested BD Rebuilder for UHD.
And I have a problem with the video.
The video jumps all the time and create a delay in audio.
As we change FPS.
I try TsMuxer only, and he's the culprit. (tested on PC and Bluray player)
Am I the only one ?

Am I the only one ?No. It is a known problem that I have spent many hours trying to figure out.

There is no fix currently, as jdobbs said in the post right before yours.

I don't think Roman will come back to create a new version of TsMuxer.
Would not it be easier to create a new muxer?
I had started making one before it corrects 3D. But I dropped because he had made his.
If only we had the source code.
