Thanks for the info. I did that, but I got the 8.10 x64 from here: https://www.videohelp.com/software/NVEnc#download and still didn't work for me. I will try your suggestion, thank you

No! It failed encoding

Can confirm that latest NVEnc (https://github.com/rigaya/NVEnc/releases) version works with RTX 50xx cards.

@NewUser16

Download the NVEncC_8.10_Win32.7z extract it and replace the files in the NVEnc in the Tools folder inside the BDRebuilder folder, with the one in the archive
When you are saying "it works with 50xx cards", did you actually tested with bd rebuilder

I just used HandBrake and it works fine, so it does work, but as I've mentioned, some apps work and some not due to lack of support for 50xx cards.
I have used bd rebuilder for as long as I can remember and always worked great, but this time hick up that I'm wondering about

Tested with bdrebuilder.
When I had a 5080 to test with.

Did you delete the existing files of the NVEnc that came with bdrebuilder?

If the 32bit version does not work extract the 64bit version, you need all the files from the archive. Rename the exe from NVEncC64.exe to NVEncC.exe.
However, this might cause issue if you use any filters that are on bdrebuilder, as far as I recall they are 32bit filters only.

You can test if your card is detected by opening a command prompt and the folder where NVEnc has been extracted and execute:
NVEncC.exe --check-hw

Wow! you are kidding me, it finally works:). The x32 didn't work, but after renaming x64 it works great.

Atm. I'm doing 98gb 4K UHD video, big difference in speed compared to the 4070Ti.

Thank you so much much:)

Glad it works 😊

I did a little digging and CUDA Driver (https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5615/~/support-plan-for-32-bit-cuda) will not support 32-bit CUDA applications on GeForce RTX 50 series (Blackwell) and newer architectures.

I tried to use Rebuilder 0.98.2 to change the DVD movie “6 Days and 7 Nights” from the 4:3 anamorphic to 16:9. On the last step I got the following popup:

Error in UpdateIFO:VTS_FO VOBID: 04/CELLID: 01was not found in the VOB.

After “enter” Stop Statement Encountered was issued. No change to log.

Log file attached.

When viewed the movie stops abruptly just before the credits and causes abend to WMC.

Hi,
this is the BD Rebuilder thread and not DVD Rebuilder.
Nevertheless, pretty sure the source DVD file structure you're using behaves the same. If not, I suggest to use FixVTS on the source files.
That being said I processed a lot of DVDs 20 years ago and never had an issue when the input into DVD Rebuilder was accurate.

I'm having issues with the latest UHD titles (Nightmare on Elm Street); I constantly get the error "TSMUXER ERR: 0xFFFFFFFE". This can be fixed by replacing "tsmuxer4k.exe" with the newest version available, but doing so causes the demuxing process of the following files to fail with the error "-PredictAndEncode() 00006 2803", because the latest tsmuxer outputs files with a language tag ("00092.track_4608_eng" instead of "00092.track_4608"), manually renaming allows for BD-Rebuilder to continue.

My main worry is that there are many places where the filename might be referenced...

Exactly which release is it? I'm curious as to what exactly is tripping up tsmuxer.

Exactly which release is it? I'm curious as to what exactly is tripping up tsmuxer. You get that error ("TSMUXER ERR: 0xFFFFFFFE") in TSMUXER when the filename used in the .meta file doesn't exist. I think it might be a "catch all" error code.

His error is probably caused for some other reason (maybe a source issue?, not sure) -- but when I stop the process and rename the SUP file (adding the language info) I get that error followed by:

- Error in attempt to multiplex: MUX_00000.meta
- Can't open file: D:\WORKING2\WORKFILES\00000.track_4608.sup

The latest UHD 4K release of Nightmare on Elm Street (https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/A-Nightmare-on-Elm-Street-Collection-4K-Blu-ray/392214/), it fails when re-encoding the special features, the ones encoded at 1080p/59.94/HEVC. Similar issues happens with others discs with 1080p/59.94/HEVC content.

Usually there's no problem because I use the "movie only" mode, which allows BD-Rebuilder to complete the process without issues. But this time, the movie was very short, so I decided to keep the additional content, and that's when I ran into tsmuxer problems.

Hi, after I have reluctantly upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11, I also updated my reliable BD-Rebuilder V0.60.04 to V0.62.16. Seemingly, everything was fine, but after encode I noticed that in CloneBD some footage was no longer displayed. (Please see attachements V0.62.16_A and V0.62.16_B).
By comprehensive testing I found out that BD-Rebuilder V0.61.16 is the latest version which cooperates with CloneBD (please see attachements V0.61.16_A and V0.61.16_B) while V0.61.17 is the first one that fails.
Since in V0.61.17 a new version of TsMuxer has been used, I tried the option "ENABLE_NEW_TSMUXER=0" wich worked with all versions >= V0.61.17.
So my question is: Shall I stay with BD-Rebuilder 0.61.16 or shall I use the latest version using the "ENABLE_NEW_TSMUXER=0" option?
Or would it be possible to fix the problem?

MrVideo

I'm confused. Why are you using CloneBD when BDRB does all the same stuff?

jdobbs
21st October 2025, 12:25
So you've "upgraded" to a version of BD-RB that is 5 years old?

Also, this isn't a CloneBD thread... and I'm not even sure what it means to "cooperate" with it.

m.rup

@jdobbs: Well, I tried the latest version of BD-Rebuilder, but, as already mentioned, after processing the footage, I can no longer use CloneBD thereafter to remove unwanted content. Since V0.61.16 seems to be the last version using "old" TsMuxer and V0.61.17 is the first version showing the problem which can be solved by using the "ENABLE_NEW_TSMUXER=0" option, I was assuming that the reason for this is the "new" TsMuxer. So maybe there something could be done in regard to TsMuxer. "Cooperate" simply means that CloneBD shows all of the footage after processing with BD-Rebuilder.
@MrVideo: I'm using CloneBD for removing unwanted content after processing with BD-Rebuilder. Unfortunately, I can't use the blanking in BD-Rebuilder for two reasons: First, BD-Rebuilder seems to use some play lists for this, so sometimes, when blanking a certain content, many other content will be blanked, sometimes including some menues, which makes the movie unplayable on my player. Secondly, BD-rebuilder sometimes doesn't display all of the unwanted content although I'm using "MIN_M2TS_SIZE=0" in my BDREBUILDER.INI. Therefore I'm using CloneBD or MultiAVCHD after processing with BD-Rebuilder:

Obviously, this isn't a CloneBD thread but I just wanted to add a comment:

Once upon a time I would use BD-RB to create a backup or compile some media files into a new BluRay structure with quick-menus. Every now and then for some reason I'd want to do a quick change to the output without doing the job all over again with BD-RB. CloneBD was speedy and accomplished what I needed at the time. Doing this worked just fine until it didn't. I'm not sure if the issue was a change made to BD-RB, a change to CloneBD, or both, but any time I tried to process the output of BD-RB with CloneBD an error would be thrown almost immediately. This started years ago and I just stopped using CloneBD on BD-RB output.

Should the "logs" window contain any troubleshooting info for BDRB or is there another location I can get error codes etc?

I got an error on a commercial 3D that I had already ripped to a decrypted ISO. I wanted to play around with BDRB because I have some homemade 3D Blu-Rays that I'm having issue ripping even though they play fine in a BR player. I am hoping BBDRB can help fix them, but it failed even on a ripped, commercial one.

What are the best troubleshooting steps I can take?

What exactly are you trying to rip them to?

KaraokeAmerica

What exactly are you trying to rip them to?

I'm trying to rip them to ISO, ISO file structure then 3D-MVC. Ultimately I keep ISO's as backups of my 3D disks and play the MVC files (from MakeMKV usually) from my media server.

I have some disks though that I can't rip to MVC even though I can make an ISO image of the disk (usually) and it plays in a physical player fine. I can also "backup" the file structure in MakeMKV seemingly without issue as long as I don't try to open the ISO or physical disk in MakeMKV.

Those file exports are the files that I am importing to BDRB. They show as 3D but the output is not 3D rippable. It somehow loses the MVC data and I'm not getting any useful debugging info. What I was hoping to do is to import the raw files and somehow "rebuild" them in BDRB so I can make an ISO without issues then rip my MVC files.

I was trying to make a bonus feature disc out of 'Until the End of the World'.
It's an exceptionally long director's cut split across two discs and each disc has bonus features.
So using BD-RB I opened a folder that contained both discs and I was offered to merge them, which I went with.
I unchecked the movie and such, named the bonus features in the menu settings and BD-RB automatically used the first disc's menu's video as the menu for what it created.
I know some people find issues (especially on PCs) with the menus not working right, but I burn discs and have never found a problem with hardware BD players.

Except this one. The video is there, but no text to select the bonus features.

Any suggestions or information I should post to make this more clear?

Edit: Never mind. Performed it a second time and it worked fine. Weird. Might be because it was generated with an older version of BDRB a few months ago.

Is there a way to do this? I did not see anything in the HIDDENOPTS.txt

I don't know about those particular commands, but you can add x264 'Tweaks' to the configuration file like I have for some encodes:

TWEAK_PASS_TWO=--ref 4 --deblock -2:-2 --psy-rd 1.00:0.25 --me hex --subme 6

I hope that helps...

Thanks. But it looks like the command is for two pass encodes only. I do one pass crf.

In the hiddenopts are following tweaks

TWEAK_ALTERNATE
TWEAK_ALTERNATE_NV
TWEAK_X265

But none for one pass encoding or x264 only

I probably should have called it "TWEAK_FINAL_PASS" or something similar -- but it is what it is. You should also know that there are some parameters that BD-RB will filter out (such as settings that would cause the encode to be non-compliant).

Yes, that's not intuitive at all, but I appreciate the clarification.

Also I happened to stumble over the blanking extras feature which is not explained in the hiddenopts.txt. Nevertheless I found the options in this thread. But you should add those to the txt

Nope doesn't work.

Even so I explicitly set it to CRF in the GUI, BDRB startet a two pass encode

I just tested it. I set the output to X264 and CRF, and then added two jobs to the queue. They both encoded in a single pass using CRF.

I'm not sure what you may be doing differently.

[Edit] Ok. I just noticed that you are using LAVF as the decoder. If I set the decoder to LAVF I am also getting two passes. It's doing that because you can't enable CRF with LAVF (DECODER=2) in BD-RB (it's been a while and I can't remember why), and it defaults back to two pass. I have comments in my code that say "you can't enable CRF with LAVF". You can set it to single pass with a VBR bitrate and it works in the queue (because it isn't disabled like CRF). If you want to do CRF, just set DECODER=0 in your INI file and CRF will become available again on the ENCODE SETTINGS menu (it becomes disabled when you set DECODER=2 or 4).

[Edit 2] Just remembered why... when using CRF in making a BD you have to perform predictions using samples to make sure that the CRF used will result in a file that will fit on the disc. You can't do that when using X264's internal LAVF to feed the frames for encoding.

Thanks for the explanation.
Changed the decoder to DGDecNV and it works with CRF in Batch.

Another problem when I try to encode a BD with a secondary audio track.

Happens with DECODER=3 and DECODER=0

That kinda' looks like a source that has issues or is corrupt... but just to see if it makes a difference, add the following to the "[Options]" area of your INI:

ENABLE_NEW_TSMUXER=0

That way it will try the older TSMUXER. You never know...

Didn't help. I will try to rerip.

Just had my 1st BD in a long time that would fail to process with Elby's CloneBD, luckily i still remembered this tool and it worked. Found an old backup of a config file. Are any of these no longer in use? Been a long time since i had to use this so there have been lots of things i need to update my knowledge on.

I first grabbed the latest DGDecNV but it doesn't supply 32bit binaries. Is there any way to get BDRB to use the latest or are we "stuck" with 2.51 which is the last one that has 32 bit binaries? Should DGDecNV even be used at all anymore? Is there anything new i need to be made aware of in terms of experimental/improved settings? I wasn't shy of experimental options last time i used it.

Doesn't BD Rebuilder support 64-bit operations? I'd be surprised if not. Otherwise, why do you need 32-bit DGDecNV? Will help if we can.

Ch3vr0n

That's not the point. BDRB does yes, however when using DGDecNV it always has prompted for the 32bit DGDecNV executable. Don't confuse this with the 64bit brdb.exe

Columbo

Well then, BDRB needs to be updated.

Ch3vr0n

Which is what i'd like to know, if that's going to happen. Last i know for the years bdrb has supported dgdecnv there was some kind of issue with 64bit dgdecnv. No clue if thats still the case @jdobss

Happy to help with any issues incorporating DGDecNV 64-bit.
