the glitch occurs including the conversion saved on hard disk. somebody can test the usa version of the film???Uninstall any "CODEC packs" you may have installed. Uninstall and reinstall AVISYNTH, FFDSHOW, and HAALI. If there is an issue, it's likely because some other CODEC or software you've installed is interfering with the normal frame-serving process.

i tried today with oblivion and trance, no problem. But i try with "CONTACT" and the problem occurs like fast and furious 1.

i will try your indications.

I've updated the first post of this thread with a link to the latest release of BD-RB (v0.44.15). Changes for this version:.....
- Updated algorithm to provide a better starting
CRF value when resizing to 1440x1080 and 720p.
Only applies to one-pass CRF mode.
- Corrected CRF prediction so that a quick hit
does not result in an off-target final
approximation.
.....
Thanks for having looked into this.
A minor issue: 1440x1080 on BD9 still seems to start with the CRF 11.00 30.50 ... sequence. Just wondering if this is intentional or a leftover from the previous version?

jdobbs all is working ok now, thanks.

i check fast and furious and contact, both are VC-1

oblivion and trance are MPEG.

there a any way to check if VC-1 is ok before convert??

i run inspect and always indicated OK.

i run inspect and always indicated OK.BD-RB checks to make sure the VC-1 setting is correct in FFDSHOW. But, unfortunately, if some other software intercepts it -- there is no way to detect it. All you can do is uninstall and reinstall so that FFDSHOW becomes the assigned CODEC again.

Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed this when importing a QuickTime (MOV) from iPhone 5? The Framerate is different than what QuickTime, or VLC shows. Any ideas? A Bug?

Amiga, where's the rest of the log? Inspect.exe settings? Don't know if it'll be related but there's an ! in the output path. There have been issues in the past with "weird" signs in the path causing issues, but don't know if that's the case here too.

I didn't cut the log (haha, that can be read in a funny way, hahahah). It also doesn't get to the output so the path I use a lot didn't get used, yet.

Any suggestions?

Edit 1: The file "AUD_00000.meta" contains..

A_AC3, "E:\BLU-RAY\REBUILDER\IMPORTS\IMG_0487\BDMV\STREAM\00000.m2ts", track=4352, lang=und

The file "VID_00000.AVS" contains..

Looks like the blank ftp= is at fault? --- Perhaps not... Looked at LASTCMD and noticed the end result:

Frame rate mode : Variable -- Because of this?
Frame rate : 29.970 fps That shouldn't make a difference, as BD-RB uses the value shown under "Frame Rate" or "Original Frame Rate" (when it is applicable).DirectshowSource("E:\BLU-RAY\REBUILDER\IMPORTS\IMG_0487\BDMV\STREAM\00000.m2ts", fps=, audio=false)This is probably because the framerate couldn't be determined from the muxed source (being an illegal value, it couldn't fit in one of the preset framerate values used in BD).

I have no idea why it reads 29.97 now and 29.94 earlier -- but BD-RB simply reports what MEDIAINFO said at the time.

Would you like the file that it's doing it with and notice if it happens with your computer? It's a small outdoors clip of Celtica. Maybe your system will process it correctly?

@colinhunt

I've corrected the issue I found in "Taken 2".

Sorry, I have a stupid question. Are there beta versions for download, or do I just have to wait until the next major update in order to put Taken 2 into mkv?

I'm fine either way, just wanted to know if I was missing something...haha.

Can't thank you enough for this amazing program!

Having problems converting Dead Man Down to DVD and managing forced subtitles.
Please be advised that I ran this BD title through Clown-BD in order to retain the forced subtitles, since BDRB doesn't handle them correctly for this title.
Note that BDRB sees the extracted subtitle stream fine, and converts it, but then cannot integrate it into the output.

There seems to be an issue with the EU release of "Oblivion". (Volume name OBLIVION_G51 barcode 5050582938456) The main title VID_00023, keeps holding on "Completing remainder of DGDecNV indexing...". Can be like that for dozens of minutes till i finally abort the encode. At times resuming then instantly does that, it resumes with encoding (as if the indexing is done). No such issues when swapping to FFDshow

No such issues when swapping to FFDshow Interesting. Do you see that message often? I never see it, as the two processes (indexing and extracting) always takes the same amount of time. It's logical that they should both finish together due to disc read-buffering. I just put the message in to cover the possibility of a difference.

Ch3vr0n
3rd August 2013, 23:37
every now and then, not too often though. the extracting goes to 100%, then after a sec or to jumps to "completing remainder ..." and just sits there. Swap to FFDshow and the second the extracting is done it jumps to encoding as it should. and since i'm encoding from a anydvd ripped iso mounted in VCD it shouldn't happen. Doens't happen alot but it is not the first time i've seen it. Same disc did also gave me a fluke error for a sec "error detecting stream. MPEG 1 not supported" on one attempt. Though all streams are either mp4 avc or VC-1. That being said, that "completing" issue is usually fixed by swapping to ffdshow, but the drawback is all encoding has to be done again even for previously succesfully encoded streams since the frameserver is swapped.

Can't seem to get past a Failed to retrieve audio error. (First one I've had a problem with).

I've tried both of the audio streams that BD Rebuilder shows (see attached).

I've re-ripped it a few times, latest version of Any DVD

Any thoughts?

wrong not the same issue.

Different disc and you're doing a full disc backup while rogress is doing a movie only backup to mkv. However both logs seem to indicate an issue with mkvmerge.

Just loaded July Beta, had ST Generations go/with no problems using an AnyDVD HD image loaded on Daemon Tools. HP6 very different story, 2 separate images tried and directly off the BD using AnyDVD HD and I always get a

"Failed to retrieve audio, aborted" at 4.16% overall progress.

Tried rebooting between runs, continuing previous version, not continuing previous version, etc. Any insight?

Here's the log from a "virgin" start and then a "continuation."

@Imperial Zeppelin

I don't get that one. I can't see how MKVMERGE is even involved there. I'll have to look at the code.

[Edit] Ok... If that source is an interlaced VC-1 source than I can see where/why it is called. Can you check and see if the stream list shows a "**" next to that stream's framerate? Does the information area show "Converting field-based or secondary stream" when this is happening?

"Harry Potter 6" -- is that "The Half Blood Prince"?

Yes, HP6 is Half Blood Prince.

Attached is what I see right before the failure, no mention of what you've asked. Just says "Extracting A/V streams: 00680.M2TS"

Thanks for the help. Anything else you need? For giggles I'm trying a "Movie Only" right now. I'm not putting much hope into it, but if interlacing is the problem, I'm thinking maybe some of the interlaced extra crap on the disc could be the cause.

Here is the info you asked for from the Canadian version of Half Blood Prince.

It appears to be VC-1 1080p.

Hello JDobbs,

Any news about "Live Free or Die Hard (4)" extas not being kept correctly using Movie & Menus? Thanks.

Similar issue here with "Jack the giant slayer" - movie only, using dgdecnv2045: Audio extraction goes to 100% and then just sits there. Reverting to the previous Version of dgdecnv 2044 seems to solve the problem. Something for neuron2?

Try making the project (also demuxing the audio) manually with DGIndexNV (not through Rebuilder) and report the result.

Works and finishes normally. CPU load down to Zero after finishing. Nothing unusual observed.

Then it is apparently not something for neuron2, unless there is some strange interaction with BDRebuilder. I'll wait for jdobbs to weigh in on it.

I'd love to if you let me know how. I only use DGIndexNV with BDRB.

I'd love to if you let me know how. I only use DGIndexNV with BDRB. Open the MPLS file or the list of M2TS files in DGIndexNV. Then make sure the audio demuxing is enabled and finally do File/Save project. Then you can make a script and serve the video into VirtualDub. It's all described in the quick start guide that comes with the distribution.

Apparently I was just a bit impatient: The indexing finishes about 10 minutes after the Audio demuxing in BDRB.
It's a 3D source; could this make a difference?

Apparently I was just a bit impatient: The indexing finishes about 10 minutes after the Audio demuxing in BDRB. That's strange. Maybe BDRD is doing it in two passes. Again hopefully jdobbs will enlighten us about that.

I have no idea about 3D sources as I have never worked with one.

1 pass here, but a 2 way split and a 2D disc. Not a 3D release

All BD-RB does is run DGIndexNV.exe as a shell process and waits for completion. It doesn't extract audio as a part of that process. Audio/video/subtitles are extracted using TSMUXER. The two processes run concurrently -- and if one finishes before the other a message is posted showing the wait. On my system they always finish at the same time (since they are both reading the same input file, the caching keeps them closely linked). Doing both concurrently is a time saver.

The splits (e.g. two way) are unrelated to indexing/extracting. The split occurs when X264 is encoding and more than one X264 process may be executed concurrently.

@Sharc
Is your version a NA or EU disc?

It's EU. Anyway, the job completed. I just had to be more patient and wait 10 extra minutes for the indexing to finalize.

I seem to recall a long pause once upon a time. But I dismissed it, as a problem on my end(essentially something interfering with BDRB). I forget what the problem was :S

Well it doesn't happen alot. Perhaps its worth picking the disc up and see if it happens on your end too.
