@sparky99999
I'm afraid I have no further thoughts/suggestions regarding your problem.
Can you NOW properly/successfully use BD-RB to process OTHER Blu-ray discs?

@jdobbs Reinstalled all needed applications..
But in the end issue may have been I ran out of disk space on the partition I use to store my backups.
Once I cleared disk space backup completed fine for Movie stone.
Thanks for your help..

Are you using the versions of software I link in the first post of the bug thread and the ones shpped in the ZIP file? You might get that problem with the wrong version of AVISYNTH or NicAudio, for instance.
I should be but a few weeks ago I reinstalled Zoomplayer and something may have been updated.
I will reinstall all of them and see how it goes.:thanks:

Yes I am able to process all other discs, so it's either a bad batch or something is out of spec with that one.
thanks for your help!

I posted earlier his happened on the movie "2012". I got a couple new BD's this weekend and it happens on them as well. "RED" and Megamind".
Everything works fine with v.0.37.04
Suggestions?

Sorry to pop in cold like this, but what's the latest info on Cinavia? Using DVDFab 8.0.7.3 I can rip "The Other Guys" but it forces me to make a direct dupe of the 46GB straight to BD burner only, no storage on the HDD to run in BD Rebuilder (DVDFab makes a 1:1 protected image, evidently).
I had seen jdobbs mention in another thread that we would need to rip the English audio, remux it and remix it. Just wondering if that actually works...
Thanks!

Cinavia is only an issue if you are playing a backup copy of an infected title using a player that has the cinavia program code hidden in the firmware. To date, I believe these are primarily folks who use a PS3 to play back their movies, as Sony forced a firmware update on them that contained the cinavia code hidden in it.
DVDFab does not force you to make a direct dupe, although it does warn you that the title is infected with cinavia and offers the option to burn a protected disc if your burner supports that. Keep in mind that DVDFab's "protected disc" interim "solution" is mostly only good for PS3 users, as very few standalone blu-ray players are capable of playing one of those DVDFab created protected discs, as the format of those discs (BDMV-REC) is not supported by most standalone blu-ray players.
You should be able to rip the title to your hard drive just like before, if you uncheck the appropriate box on the screen, and process it via BD-RB if you like..
I do not believe anyone has a proven method to remove the cinavia audio signal(s) from an infected title . . yet . .

That's me, a PS3 Slim owner.

Also me, but if I'm not mistaken, that means a 1:1 copy, so I'd need a BD-50 blank to burn this protected title. Not worth it for this one.
You should be able to rip the title to your hard drive just like before, if you uncheck the appropriate box on the screen, and process it via BD-RB if you like..
This statement gives me pause. So if I UNCHECK the option to create the protected disc, then I can rip to HDD. But...
I do not believe anyone has a proven method to remove the cinavia audio signal(s) from an infected title . . yet . .
Then why would I want to attempt the HDD rip? If I can't overcome the protection, what's the point of running it through BD Rebuilder?
Thanks for the quick reply, BTW!

To a certain extent what's the point of doing anything with it at all - just play your original disc and there's no issue with cinavia. However, if you want a safe backup copy, you can still make one using bd-rb which will work on the majority of players (and now that the ps3 is hacked I'm sure that one of the custom firmwares may not have the protection in it in the future) and then in the future if a solution is found, you'd only need to process the audio.

If your goal is to play a backup copy of a cinavia infected title on a PS3 that has the cinavia code in the firmware - then yes - your only current option is to use DVDFab to create a BDMV-REC copy that should play in your PS3, but probably not in any standalone players. I think the DVDFab interim solution is mostly worthless, as it requires a burner that can create a BDMV-REC disc (not all do), the resulting copy is playable only on 1 type of device and what is to stop Sony from jamming another firmware update onto your PS3 to slam the door on the BDMV-REC titles with cinavia from playing? I do not use a PS3 and have adopted a different approach to cinavia infected devices and titles - I mostly avoid them if possible (meaning I refuse to buy them - I will do a $1.50 Redbox rental if it is a title I'd like to see, but that is all). Our goal should be to show Sony that the more they mess around with their copy prevention paranoia, the more revenue and profit they sacrifice.

I'm confident it isn't a problem in v0.37.05. You've likely installed something else that is interfering with the encode. Uninstall BD-RB, AVISYNTH, HAALI, and FFDSHOW. Remove any CODEC packs you may have installed (you don't need them with FFDSHOW). Then reinstall the BD-RB and the versions or HAALI, AVISYNTH and FFDSHOW in the first post of the thread. I think that will make your problems go away.

I went back to the previous version, 0.37.04, and it converted without any problems.
So, I uninstalled everything and resinstalled all programs from the first page in this
thread, and I get the same results. The movie converts fine with 0.37.04, but fails
0.37.05. I am assuming something has changed in the new version. However, if
there are any suggestions as to what I can do on my end, please feel free to share.
As stated, I have already re-installed all the software. Thanks for your time. Later.

I think I found both your problems. It was a variable that was declared incorrectly. The error was caused by the new code for selecting keyint sizes based on output bitrate. It only affects MKV output.
You'll see a fix in the next release.

Uninstalled, used a registry cleaner, rebooted, reinstalled.
Still fails with v0.37.05
I don't have any other CODEC packs installed. I even removed VLC just in case it was interfering.

Well, your definition of "works" might be different than mine. If it runs but looks awful -- that's not "works" for me. The reason I watch blu-ray is for the quality.
An experimental version of the secondary DTS-Express code will be in the next release. You will be able to enable the function with a hidden option.
That would be nice regarding DTS Express issue. Thanks.

Would I be right in saying that BDRebuilder cannot work with DTS Express because TSMuxer cannot handle it?

Has anyone noticed their ram usage skyrocket and max out during the rebuilding stage?
Over the last month or two, i've noticed on about half the backups I've done when I get to the rebuild stage, bd-rb ends up maxing out all available physical memory in my machine. If I abort the process, and rebuild manually with tsmuxer gui, using the encoded files from BD-RB, I don't see the memory leak.
BTW, this is on a Windows Server 2008 machine.

BTW, this is on a Windows Server 2008 machine. It doesn't happen to me... also it would seem that if it were a BD-RB bug it would do it all the time, wouldn't it? All BD-RB is doing in most of the rebuild it a TSMUXER call and a wait for completion. There really isn't anything I can think of that could be a "memory leak".
If you can find something that can make it consistently repeatable, please give me the details. Unfortunately, if I can't repeat it, I can't fix it.

It may not be BD-RB (as you said, it's just a call to tsmuxer). I'm just wondering if anyone else has seen this behavior.
I should point out that neither tsmuxer or bd-rb processes show high memory usage in task manager. You can watch overall system memory usage climb throughout the rebuild stage, eventually maxing out. If I abort the rebuild stage physical memory drops back down to normal.
I'm trying to find steps to re-produce this and will let you know.

I've noticed the maxed out memory use happening with the past few releases. It puzzled me as it was happening only during the rebuild phase. I can multi-task and do whatever I want while the reencode is going on. But as soon as the rebuild starts, my system becomes sluggish. FYI I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium x64 on a machine with i950 processor and 6gig of ram.
I do most rebuilds in unattended batch mode overnight, so I haven't noticed it recently. But every single one I've run while I'm trying to use the computer for other things during the encode maxed out memory use during the rebuild phase. I'll start up a couple when I get home from work to see if I can find any useful information to pass back to you.
Just for transparency, I should point out that I do have a newer version of Haali installed than the one listed on the first page. I wasn't able to get subtitles working properly on my media server without updating it. Whenever I have an issue with BD Rebuilder (which has only been once in the past year), I downgrade Haali to the proper version to make sure it is not the reason for the issue. I wouldn't think Haali has anything to do with the rebuild phase, but I figured I should throw it out there anyway just in case.
I don't have any problem with "Memory Leaks" or a Memory problem on any version of Windows that I use BD-RB on. Windows uses a page file to make up for memory shortages.
Actually, any leaks I have are done in the back yard after a massive intake of Adult beverages....:p

Funny you should mention that, yes I have been experiencing that. Just now infact. Came to the computer and it's decided to increase virtual ram cause the rest (4GB) is all used up! lol
The other day I started an encode and it was as if it was running in high priority, the whole system was unresponsive and i had to shut down the encode.
I'm wondering if it might be something to do with the 64bit version of x264, nothing to go on for that by the way, just seems that otehrs who hae experienced it might be on 64 bit. Maybe not though.
I'll keep my eyes open and see if i can pinpoint it.

I'll keep my eyes open and see if i can pinpoint it. It might just be caching. The rebuild phase is the point in the process with the most disc I/O. Many gigabytes of data are read and written. It wouldn't be surprising at all, depending upon your system settings, for the computer to use as much free memory as it can allocate to speed things up.
As for the system being unresponsive -- I think you might be looking at other problems your system could be having and blaming an unrelated event. I'm using the 64 bit version of Window 7 and am having no issues whatsoever.

The rebuild phase is the point in the process with the most disc I/O.Don't hate me please (for this what amounts to a "feature" request) but it sure would be nice to be able to specify drive A for the workfiles and drive B for the output (as it works for DVD-RB iirc). :)
I usually juggle 4 drives at once, trying to achieve minimum disk thrashing: OS, A, B, BD

It worked differently in DVD-RB. I've tested it in BD-RB -- and it just doesn't make any noticable speed difference.
This may be so, jdobbs but me and others (as seen in the suggestions thread) would really like it if you could implement this anyway. It would make my life a whole lot easier, if i could have the iso's created directly on the drive where as now i have to move them myself later after the iso creation is complete.

Something broke on my machine in the 37.05 version compared to the 37.04.
As you can see there is a failure with the 05 version when it comes to video reencode whereas the 04 version is flawless.

Since you're creating an MKV it may be related to the issue that jdobbs talks about in this post (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=1481183#post1481183).

I, too, noticed the RAM problem on my PC.
In the creating m2ts phase everything is fine but in the creating movie only BD structure phase the memory usage causes my system to barely respond as Windows begins swapping. In the first picture you can see the ram usage for the m2ts creation and when it begins to rise that's the creating movie only BD structure(when you look at the process list neither BD-RB nor tsmuxer are shown with that much memory, tsmuxer with 250-300 MB as in the m2ts creation phase).
In the second picture you see the memory usage after BD-RB is finished and more than 3 GB are released.

I'm bedridden right now (ankle surgery after a fall) so it will probably be a couple of days before I can release the new version. But I'm sure it will fix this for everyone.
Luckily I can still use my iPad from bed so I can read reports.

My source is AVC 1080i 25fps, MBAFF, but content is progressive.
DB-RB encoded it as 1080p25 (progressive) which is not blu-ray compliant (correct me if I am wrong).
Should I have selected "Use DECOMB filter on interlaced sources" in the setup and insert DEINTERLACER_TYPE=4 in the .ini for this source?

First, and foremost, sorry to hear you are laid up. Get well soon.
For a long time I have seen this error while processing titles that have a lot of small files. At first I chalked it up to forgetting to shutdown my virus checker, but have found that does not seem to help. I first processed this title with 37.05 but when I got the error I could not restart so I went back to 37.04. As you will see from the logs, this error occurred multiple times. Each time I just hit the backup button and told it to resume. Because of the number of files the logs are quite large so I did not post the .ini, .cmd or inspect files. The inspect reports no problems. Virus checking is turned off.
Machine is Intel Dual Core (2.97) with 4 gb memory and 700 gb of free disk space (unfragmented)
