@Capsbackup
I'll try those settings and see if that works. I didn't keep the WORKFILE directory but I'll use the settings trying to rip the BR again and I'll let you know. Thanks

@Lynxs and I'm using TMT2.5 and 3Sorry I didn't initially notice this.
One thing we've all learned here is that we shouldn't jump to conclusions based on playback under PC software players. Now that you "seem" to have a problem (based on TMT playback), you should burn a disc and see if the same problem exists when played on a standalone player...

Is there any possibility to have 2 profiles to start with?
e.g. One is BD5 with AC3 2.0 and 720p, other one is Custom Size 1080p with HD Audio.

1. So what in this release affects BD-RB?
2. Has it been tested with all stream types? The problem in the past are that a new release sometimes will make things that used to work stop working.

1. I am not sure which is why I asked "will we" benefit from the update
2. I am aware of this as I ran into this issue when I first started using BD Rebuilder and ran the wrong version

Quick question for anyone who can help. I did one movie using BDR and it worked fine, but after that kept getting encode failed. One thing I noticed was when I attempt to run the INSPECT.EXE I get a runtime error and in the window it shows AVSCRIPT OK and windows version 6.0, nothing else.
Was wondering if I needed to fix this issue before continuing to post the logs as it may serve a purpose as to why it's not letting me encode? Also, the encode error appears to happen at around 5%. Any help is appreciated and I can post the log upon request, thank you.

What runtime error do you get when you run INSPECT?

Run-time error '13':
Type mismatch
EDIT: Just realized that the BD Rebuilder fails when it reached a VC-1 file, the MPEG-2 seems to work fine but it fails on encode when it reaches VC-1 codec. What is the solution to this? thank you.

I would uninstall Haali, delete the folder for Haali in your Program folder, uninstall ffdshow and Avisynth then reboot.
Then download the correct versions from the first page of this thread and reinstall those three programs and try again. :)

Hi!it fails on encode when it reaches VC-1 codec. What is the solution to this?
From within ffdshow, there are three possible settings for VC-1. Try each of them to see which one works best with your system's configuation...

Hi!
From within ffdshow, there are three possible settings for VC-1. Try each of them to see which one works best with your system's configuation... Most of the time WMV9 is the best choice unless you are using XP and have Windows Media Player 11 installed in which case "Disabled" may be better.

One more thing I looked over the thread but seems I cannot find the answer for this. Whats the option to choose 1-pass ABR instead of the 2?
When I goto encoder settings I only see "normal", "default" (check-marked), "high priority", "automatically quality settings" (also checked).
Thanks

Just select "automatically quality settings", and it will uncheck it, and the other options will become available. ;)

Just have a quick question. I just ran BOLT through bd-rebuilder and i have a strange issue. Audio is set to English. The first part of the movie is fine until about 3:39 it switches to Spanish audio then back again around the 11 minute mark. Any ideas? Tried on two different builds also.

Nope original Disc just got it from a friend yesterday right out of the case.
I thought the same thing, it's the weirdest rip/re-encode that i have ever seen. the quality, Sync and audio are all excellent, just the one section straight up switches to spanish after a few minutes then back.

The most current version of BD-RB is v34.07. So delete your old folder. Unzip a fresh new downloaded one.
Before you run BD-RB.exe for the first time, run REG_MSCOMCTL. Then right click on BD-RB.exe and select run as administrator. This should set up the proper settings for VC-1.

You know what's funny in a "JFC I'm dumb" sort of way, is that I actually *did* download the latest build, and unzipped it to that folder. Guess something went wrong and I never double-checked the version. Did everything exactly as you advised, and I'll try again. Thanks. I reinstalled FFDSHOW from the first post, and set the configuration as you recommended. I'm guessing here, but I think Doubletwist may have changed it, so I uninstalled it (so it wouldn't change it again). Testing now, but I'm confident that was the fix. Like Lowdead said, you need a BD-RE. If you don't have one, you should REALLY invest in one if you plan on doing a lot of re-encodes. I burn all mine to BD-RE first to test them out before finally burning to BD-25 for the permanent backup.

I have had similar problem with monsters inc. I tried a full disc encode with only the untouched English hd audio track and when I went to play back the bd-r on my PS3 it did the same thing to me. Started out in English for about19 min, then went to Spanish for maybe 5 min, then french for about 1/3 of the movie. Then it went back to English, and the last 5 min of the movie was in the commentary track. So just to see if it was a bad rip I ran the movie again for the same rip, but in main movie only and everything came out just fine. In the 100 or so Blu-Ray encodes I done, this the only one to have done this?
I used:
monsters inc, the four disc version
bd-rb v0.34.04
Anydvd hd V6.6.8.0 for the rip
the rest of the programs from the 1st post.

What region are these movies with the switching audio tracks? ( Bolt and Monsters Inc.)
These issues only occur with full backup, not movie only?
If someone has had this happen on a region A version, without preprocessing and using Anydvd HD to rip, I would like to get one and test for myself.

I had considered that as well, but i got a tons of space on my system and burning the discs to an ISO with Imgburn and mounting had worked so far for me. Usually when i got an error and burned the disc to test, the error stayed. So i trusted the results i received from the ISO. I'll definitely have to invest in some RE's

All Discs Are region "A"
I'm starting to believe Seta_Rip is right. I pretty much thought he was when he posted. I might need to re-rip the disc. Maybe some of the copy protection was missed and corrupted a tiny bit of audio even though the disc still ripped. I dunno, once i get my hands back on the original i'll post again after i rip with the new versions of DVDFab and anydvd.
Since bolot i have Shrunk
Terminator Salvation
Percy jackson
Star Trek 2009
GI Joe rise of the cobra
all without issue.
I had one issue with The Dark knight, video seems a little choppy and slow for about 45 minutes of the movie. might also need to re-rip.

Understandable, since you do spend a lot of time working on this. i will most definitely drop a couple bucks on the RE's from now on. I ran into a similar issue with Iron Man a while back, subtitles were all screwy, once i burned to disc and played in the PS3 everything was golden.

i can give it a try on my other stand alone player when i have a chance, but i dont think thats gonna make a difference as theres only one audion track on the back up. also tried to switch to another track while playing on ps3 but it kept playing only the one track that was there. the ps3 is running the latest firmware.

I have never had a single bad rip with Anydvd HD, and have done approx. 250. :)
I tried DVDFab on Avatar when it was first released, and Anydvd HD could not rip it yet and DVDFab claimed it could rip it, and that was the only backup that did not work properly for me!
So I am not a big believer in DVDFab for being a good ripper.
Anydvd HD was well worth its cost, saved me lots of headaches and time.
Also, it is probably why I have very few bug reports for BD-RB as well! :D

It would appear that there is nothing anyone can suggest on this TOS season 3 issue. I'm still stuck! MB2 solved the problem by reverting to V31.06. I would REALLY appreciate it if someone would forward me this older version of BDR! It's the only way I can rebuild these remaining season3 disks. The log and ini files were attached to the message sent on 16th August 2010, #9249
jdobbs, the star trek season 3 disc 2 finished ok on 31.06
I tried to do a full backup of Star Trek TOS season 3 disk 1 using BDR v3407 and have a really strange result. When I play the recorded disk on my Panasonic BD60, the disk fails when I select an episode from the TOP or POPUP menus. The machine tries to play something, then returns to the same menu. However, strangely enough, when I use a software player (PowerDVD10), everything seems to work fine. Any ideas? The log and ini files are attached. Thanks so much for the assistance and your generosity.

I'm having an issue with the Fight Club Blu-ray. When I open BDRB I get an error: "2603[17:14:08] Scan Directory() 00052 2603".
This is after using AnyDVDHD, and mounting the iso on a clone drive. Also, there are a few files inside the .iso that I am unable to copy to folders on my HD (I was going to try and shrink the main movie individually and then plug in the new info, but I am unable to do this either since I can't get all the remaining files to folders). The ISO works fine on powerdvd, but if I make an image without the files I can't copy then it doesn't work, so they appear to have some importance.
Any ideas? Did I get a bad ISO? Or am I stuck with a movie only BD-R?
