Ok so i thought i had figured out my previous log error in that rebuilder was mistaking one of the PIP tracks that is included with the main movie M2TS file which there are 2 PIP tracks.

So i decided to use TSMuxer and just strip the main movie and DTS-HD track from the original blu ray, I still get the log error but at least this time rebuilder recognises the correct size for the movie.

I had the problem with the multiple Haali and ffdshow icons in the notification, too. I believe it's not a BDrebuilder issue.
I solved it by deinstalling all of those filters and applications, rebooting, and then doing a clean install of the latest version of ffdshow & Haali. No issues since then.

Jdobbs, can I throw a small request in here? Since you're preparing a new version, could you enable the possibility of manually picking more than one movie in "movie only" mode?
I'd really like to continue testing with my episodic discs of "Lost - season 4" (european, PAL). There's 3 episodes on each disk, and in "movie only" BDrebuilder only encodes one of them.
Only if it's not too much work for you, bro.

I'll have to give that a try when I get home from work... That may be the answer. I'll let you know...

Sorry Not To Be A Bother But I Noticed Someone Asked About Keeping The HD Audio In The Upcoming Version And Your Response Of It Being Low Priority... Will It Atleast Be Possable To Keep The PCM Tracks Selected In Rebuilder And Encoded To DTS Without The Program Crashing? And :thanks: Again.

I can't add a feature to encode to DTS -- licensing issues. I am working on the issue of crashes with LPCM.

how about copying the DTS stream without re-encoding. Do you need license in this case?

No. But it already does that -- you just have to say so in SETUP.

PowerDVD Version 8 Can Play ISO If It Is Mounted On A Virtual Drive I Tried A Number Of Programs That Would Not Read The UDF 2.5 However I Have Had No Trouble With DAEMON Tools To Load The ISO In Virtual Drive And Then Point PowerDVD To The Virtual Drive.. You Can However Create The ISO With Almost Anything. Hope This Helps.:helpful:

I Didn't Think About The Licensing Issue Since I Own Surcode DTS Encoder.. My BAD... What About As An Alternative The Ability To Replace Audio Tracks In BDRB? In A Similar Way To How You Can Mux Any Audio Track To Any Video Track In TSmuxer I Have Tried Replacing Audio Tracks And Adding Them In Thier Myself But Then I Find The BD Structure Doesn't Accept The Replacement File And If I Replace The Info Files The Movie Will Then Play With My Audio Track However I Lose All The Chapter Points... Would It Be Possible For Us To Select Tracks To Replace In BDRB Without These Issues? And Always jdobbs :thanks:

I still have some questions on the three movies that I have been have problems with, Hancock and the two X-Files movies. I re-ripped Hancock tonight with AnyDVD-HD down to my system and then used eac3to to see the palylists. Here's the output,

According to the program 00002.mpls is the main movie. But when I pull it into BD-RB 13 Beta I see this.

http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m216/waynecierkowski/Hancock-1.jpg

It's not until I scroll down to the very end were I see what the software thinks is the main movie.

http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m216/waynecierkowski/Hancock-2.jpg

The way BD-RB looks when I pull in Hancock is totally different from other movies I have done. I know some here have said they have done hHancock with no problems but I wonder if it is the same Blu-Ray as I have, Unrated Special Edition.

Am I doing something wrong here?

I guess I don't express my self very well.

I know how to convert and mount an ISO movie. They all work fine exept anything I processed with BD rebuilder

sorry for the sloppy image. I'm trying to figure out how to post them.

This is my first time posting, sorry if i make any mistakes. I'm having the same problem with Hancock and with Identity. The program goes to the point when the first phase is done and before it starts on the second phase it gets the error script message 9 and when you hit o.k. the program closes, then when i open up the program to continue where i left off i click okay it starts the second phase and asks me to replace the current folder i hit yes and it get's to the end of the second phase it gets the same script error 9. I even uninstall everything and a clean install of everything again and i still get those errors. I've already made about 15 back ups and they never give me problems. I hope there's a fix for this. Thanks for this awesome app. Donation is on the way.

@ datman:

for some reason, it works with the newest version of Virtual CloneDrive (i use the beta, not sure about the newest stable release). i cant get it to work with Alcohol or Daemon. weird. also, i think Slysoft has recognized this occurrence with the newest versions of Cyberlink's software, and have updated the way AnyDVD rips images accordingly.

from their changelog:

New (Blu-ray): Added support for new PowerDVD builds, which displayed a "virtual drive not supported" error

ds9delta must either use CloneDrive or not have PDVD8 build 2217a

I'm presuming that you already know that all those m2ts files combined make up the main movie..... that it is a Seamless Branched title. BD-RB did actually list all those m2ts files in the correct order as the mpls file indicates...I had a multiple ffdshow & Matroska error with Death Race (which had 25 m2ts files making up the main movie). What I did was joined them together into a single m2ts file using TSSplitter..... then remuxed out unwanted audio & PGS streams using TSMuxer... then it loaded into BD-RB and reencoded absolutely perfectly... The BD-9 looks incredible.

My Death Race issue...

That single M2TS isn't what it thinks is the main movie... the main-movie is the combination of all the M2TS files listed. If it weren't a part of the main-movie it wouldn't be listed. In fact from your post it appears both programs have selected the same MPLS.

What did you use to rip the source?

I used AnyDVD 6.5.0.3 and set it to strip copy protection and region code, all else was left at default.

The rips play fine on my pc and rips that fit directly on a single layer BD-R also work on my standalone player.

I have this exact problem with the pal hancock. I have tried ripping it with anydvd several times (in fact each time a new version is available, almost daily at the moment) and with several version of bd-rb.

Is anyone having problems with the region a pineapple express. Again ripped with the latest anydvd 6.5.1.8, I get several crashes during the process (this happens regulary and I'm starting to think I have bad ram), always resumes on restart (the crashes are random) and when it completes I get the error 9. The files are rebuilt into bd structure and on the output I choose bd25 the resulting files are 18.5gb this has happened three times. I burned the files to a bd-re and the menu hangs for ages and the main movie won't play. Just a black screen.

I've kept all my log files and will post later.

My success' so far
Death proof
pulp fiction
Trainspotting
The truman show

My failiures
Burn after reading(reach retry limit error)
Pineapple express(error 9)
Hancock (error 9)

All these have been full disc rips to bd25.

Is it possible the errors are coming from the rips with anydvd?

I have found bd-rb has more success when I close any-dvd is this just a coincidence or is it interfering somehow. I know it's unlikely as that works from the dvd drives, however it's just my observations.

Thanks for the reply jdobbs. I guess what I'm saying here is that when I feed the copied Hancock Blu-Ray movie into BD-RB it is not opening up the correct mpls file and putting all of the streams together to do a Movie Only encode. You have to do that on your own.

But that is the only movie along with the two X-files that this has happened to me. I have done a number of other movies and all worked perfectly without any other steps involved.

Even if you would like send me your address via email and I'll send you my copy of Hancock to test with. Maybe it's me but I seem to remember others having the same problem with this movie and other movies that fit the same pattern.

And another Bug with another title i started Indiana Jones last night and after a 14 hour period the program now looks like this

http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r23/Digi247/Rebuilder.jpg

The only title i have successfully done so far is constantine down to a single layer DVD-R.

Do i let the program continue or abort it now as it appears to still be running but telling me its done @ 100% which it had only just done the first pass after 12 hours.

Any Ideas?

that white noise "spurt" is in the first 0.2 seconds it seems...you would need to blank at least that as a test; my son has hockey all day today, if I have time I will try a movie with LPCM and post EXACT place and length of the noise. Not sure who develops tsmuxer, but maybe you could contact them for a fix....

In any case though, how can you get around the 4 gig limits for WAV files? I would be nice to extract the LPCM for a "cleaner" encode to AC3, but there is the 4 gig limit. There is always a 640 AC3 on those type of BR with LPCM anyway though.

Maybe you need to rewrite txmuxer if it is the problem as well...Like you have enought to do anyway LOL!!!

I Have Also Discovered In My Testing Of .17.13 That The BD-25 Setting Can Be A Little To Big I Have Discovered A BD-25 Which Has A Max Limit Of 23,098Mb For Burning, From The Research I Have Done The World Wide Minimum Spec Is 23,045Mb For Any BD-25 I Would Recommend That The BD-25 Setting Be Altered To Reflect This Or Say 23,000Mb For Safety.. Hey JDobbs!!

Thanks great program! I seem to be having just one issue though. I own a PS3 and the LG BD300. I did a Full Disc copy of the Dark Knight. It plays great on the PS3 but I get nothing on the LG. It loads up shows a little BluRay Symbol then goes to the main screen of the Bluray Player. So I hit play and nothing. Any thoughts suggestions on that? I am going to do the Incredible Hulk next. Ill let you know if the same thing happens again! Thanks though I love the program so far!

You should be able to play Movie Only BD9 discs on your PS3 with excellant results... but you can forget a full movie on BD9 on the PS3 from my experience.

Beyond that, I don't know what kind of media you're using or what kind of copy you're making (Full or MO).

That means the encoder is failing. Usually that is an indicator that you aren't betting frame serving via AVISYNTH. Ask him to open the AVS file with Media Player and see if it is playing back the movie. If it doesn't play back (it probably won't) he likely needs to configure FFDSHOW for the appropriate codec.

A Definate bug i have noticed is that even if you choose not re-encode dts or ac3, it does anyway, even though it doesn't mux the re-encode back into the stream, it still does it, they are there in the workfiles folder.
Another bug on Beowulf Region B i did a BD-25 and i selected to keep the Main English audio (5.1) the Second English Audio (True HD) and the 3rd English Track (ac3 Directors Commentary) the reason i choose to keep the second track was to preserve structure when selecting commentary track, what i noticed is that the true hd track was re-encoded (not a problem) but when remuxed there isn't actually any audio there - in powerdvd 8 when selecting the track it just says Audio: English, but there isn't actually any sound, same on Panasonic DMP-BD30 to0.

I Have Had The Same Problem It Seems That The CLIPINFO Files Are Not Always Updated When The Audio Is Recoded They Still Say That The Audio Should Be DTS-HD Even Though There Is No HD Audio Track There... This I've Found Confuses Any BD Playback Attempt Of The Specific Track The Solution I Found Was To Download A Program Called BDEdit Which Allows You To Modify The Clipinfo Files And Change The Identity Of The HD Track To Standard DTS Or AC3 Whichever The Case Maybe... After Doing This I Have Had All Video\Audio Tracks Playback Fine.. Hope This Helps:helpful:

I ran a few rebuilds (movie only) and had a couple of them run almost 48 hours before completion. Must admit that the picture quality was nearer astonishing than good considering that the source M2TS files were anywhere from 6GB to 25GB, and the destination is DVD9.
As mentioned, some of the rebuilds went a couple of days. On checking the log, I noticed that all the timestamps after the "PHASE TWO - Rebuild Started" are equal to "PHASE TWO - Rebuild Started".
Is this a bug? Please see section below. I would believe that the 2 last lines in the log should show different timestamps.
My suggestions would be:

Timestamps include date [YYMMDD]
The "PHASE TWO - Rebuild Started" line have timestamp "alpha"
The "JOB: <movie_title> completed." line have timestamp "omega"
And the " - Encode and Rebuild complete" line in-between has the delta of "alpha" and "omega"

BTW, I am running rebuilds on 2 systems, one an AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+, Vista SP1 32-bit w/4GB RAM and the second an Intel P4 3.0GHz, Vista SP1 32-bit w/3GB RAM.

Other than that, I would like to say that this is a pretty nice piece of software and definitely worth contributing to.

Hey JDobbs!!

...I own a PS3 and the LG BD300. I did a Full Disc copy of the Dark Knight. It plays great on the PS3 but I get nothing on the LG. It loads up shows a little BluRay Symbol then goes to the main screen of the Bluray Player. So I hit play and nothing....

I am having a similar experience with my Samsung BD-P2500 player. It refuses to play any BD content on regular DVD's. It sounds like it is seeking the disk and loading, then displays a full screen " . . . .", then returns to logo screen and reports, "Can not play this disk."

I have tried DVD-R, DVD+RW, DVD+R, and DVD+R DL, each with several different movies. I have confirmed that all these disk types work just fine with regular DVD content, ...just not with BD content. All my disks play back perfectly with PowerDVD.

I suspect BD content would work if I burned to BD-R (but I dont want to go there).

Has anyone been able to get BD content DVD to work with the Samsung BD-P2500 player? The Samsung manual implies it only supports DVD-Video on DVD, but also says it supports AVCHD (I am presuming this means DVD as well as BD disks).

Not All Blu Ray Players Will Play Burnt BD.. Eg. My Blu Ray Player Sharp BD-HP20X Will Play Burnt DVD Orig. DVD And Orig Blu-Ray Only AVCHD And Even Exact BD25 Duplicates Will Give Me An Incompatable Disc Error And Spit It Out.. Secondly Depending On Your Setup Settings BDRB Is Supposed To Be Slow I Have An Intel Core 2 Duo E7200 And On Highest Quality Settings I Wait About 48Hours For A Full Disc Backup.. High Definition \ High Quality Is Supposed To Take A Long Time And Won't Really Get Much Faster Then 16to24hours Until We Move Beyond Quad Core... As For The Skipping On The PS3 I Can't Answer That As I Don't Have One... Hope Some Of This Has Been Helpful....:helpful:

I know its not a bug in BD-Rebuilder thats causing the problems with my BD-P2500. I used the modified disc construction from avchd.leer.zip and the accompanying information provided in this post... http://forum.doom9.org/showpost.php?p=1238871&postcount=10

It only works for a "Movie Only" copy, but it also works on my PS3, so I have something that's useable on both my players now.
