John Wick seems to have a problem. It jumps around like the multiple vid files are in the wrong order, just a guess.
I did a movie only backup I’ll see if a full reactes any different. That's something I call playlist obfuscation. It's a protection mechanism. The disc authors create a huge number of possible playlists -- of which only one is the correct sequence.
BD-RB takes no action to circumvent protection mechanisms -- but most of the time AnyDVD will recognize it and provide the playlist in an INF file that BD-RB can scan. When it isn't provided you need to find out which playlist is correct.
Normally you can go to the AnyDVD Forum (https://forum.slysoft.com/) and just do a search. Most of the time someone has posted the correct playlist for your region/area. You can then select that playlist from within BD-RB (Other Movie-Only Playlist).

John Wick should be supported in all it's versions. If it isn't you'll need to post over at the Anydvd HD forum and include an anydvd logfile and the FULL /JAR file zipped up

Hey guys... recently ran David Gilmour Remember That Night thru BDRebuilder. It has an LPCM Stereo track@2304kbs, a TrueHD 5.1 track @6912kbs, and a core AC3 track@512kbs. When not keeping the HD tracks and encoding to BD9, the LPCM is reencoded to 254kbs (which is fine), but the TrueHD track is not reencoded to AC3@640kbs (as I thought would happen) and the core track is used.
I've tried several options and have looked in the hidden.txt but am unable to achieve the desired results. Is there a way to tell BDRebuilder to reencode the TrueHD track rather than using the core?
I used ClownBD to reencode both the LPCM and TrueHD tracks to 640kbs but that doesn't keep the menus which I prefer. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks again for the great program!

Thanks again for the great program!BD-RB always uses the core unless you choose to keep the HD stream intact. Typically the core is 640Kbs already. If the core is above your specified bitrate, BD-RB reencodes it, but not if it is below. In that case reencoding to a higher bitrate wouldn't improve it.

Guess there is no need for me to run a test encode now

Currently NicAudio is used for the decoding, and it won't decode TrueHD. But almost always the core is already at the maximum bitrate, so reencoding from the original TrueHD just isn't a concern. It might be possible for BD-RB to use DirectshowSource() for the audio reencode when the source's core bitrate is lower than that specified for output. LAV filters should decode TrueHD. But it is so rare that the core bitrate is lower than the needed target, that that change wouldn't be a priority.

Don't know why they chose only 512kbs for the core. Would rather get 640 w/BD9. Guess I'll run another BD25 and just keep the HD. No real loss in video bitrate anyway. Thanks again...

Just a little feedback:
Have done a Mad Max Fury Road 3D Encode with Hardware Encoding and burned to a disc.
Got the Philips BDP5700 3D Bluray Player from my parents for this weekend.
Suprise: Picture with artifacts like on PowerDVD, WinDVD... Also it's jittering terrible and not watchable

3D has always been temperamental with software players ie: PowerDVD, WinDVD... , or did you mean that you played it with the Phillips player?

I just got the Philips Hardware Player from my parents for testing.
I played the burned disc with Philips Player and got the same artifacts like i was playing the iso with PowerDVD and WinDVD.
So something is wrong.

Are you still using QuickSync for your encoding? I did Mad Max Fury Road 3D (w/o QuickSync) and had no artifacts with my burned disk playing on my Oppo93.

Yes did it with QuickSync
Did an encode with another Software (not sure if i can talk about it) and also use QuickSync/Hardware Encoding and have no artifacts.
But i think this software isn't using Frim and encodes come with SSIF folder

This maybe self inflicted, but I have tried reinstalling all helper apps and doing a new BD_Rebuilder setup but still keep getting the FRIMDecode.exe has stopped. It seems that it's working on the first m2ts but as soon as it extracts the VID_00098 it fails. I can't remember if I have done any previous VC1 3D's so maybe thats the problem. I have checked and double checked that I have VC1 enabled for wmv9. Here are the logs:

After some more investigation the only thing weird about the 00098 file is this:
http://i63.tinypic.com/21enkb6.jpg
It seems like 16 audio streams and 31 text streams is a bit much, but it also has a weird second audio stream of only 192k mono. Maybe someone can enlighten me on why this would crash FRIM. I have since this failure used this same BD_Rebuilder install to do other 3D's and it works just fine on those other 3D movies. It must be something special about this specific m2ts that is choking FRIM.

Have done a new 3D encode (Minions 3D) without hardware encoding.
Takes me over 4 hours.
But: I got artifacts!
So what's the problem?
How can it be fixed?
So BDRB is useless for me, because i can't encode BD50->BD25 without getting artifacts.
Is it possible to get the "old way" working again to get an encode with SSIF folder/files?
Ch3vr0n

Artifacts? what's your player? Using a software one? and the "old way" is still possible. read the hiddenopts.txt file. should be in there

Using SW Player, because of HTPC
And no, i dont want to burn to use encodes with hw player....
Also already tested with hardware player like i wrote before and got also artifacts
Checked the hidden.txt file but can not find any option for old way encoding
Just 3D method hsbs, hou, anaglyph
And output 3D iso for movie only encode

@ KeVe1983 RE: i dont want to burn to use encodes with hw player....
Most HW Blu-ray players will let you use Folders or even ISO's for playback. That will rule out SW players that are notoriously problematic with 3D, that's why jdobbs won't accept bugs re-guarding them for playback.
And output 3D iso for movie only encode?
FROM the CHANGES.txt
April 7th, 2014 - v0.47.04
- Implemented 3D Full Backup Mode. Note that
BD-RB converts 3D method so that the SSIF
folder is no longer required -- the method
is 100% compliant with the BD standard.
(v0.47.03)
- Due to the changes in the way 3D is handled,
BD-RB no longer outputs to ISO by default on
movie-only 3D encodes. It can be enabled by
using the OUTPUT_3D_ISO hidden option. Note:
This option only applies to movie-only 3D
encodes. (v0.47.03)
- Made in-mux (single M2TS) 3D multiplexing
mode the default on full-backup 3D. This
can be changed back with the hidden option
FORCE_INMUX_3D=0.
- Modified 3D movie-only mode so it also now
uses the in-mux structure for BD-3D output.

@KeVe1983: See, that's your problem of the pixellation issues. They're the only ones that have the pixellation issues, when you play the disc back on a hardware device there will be no issues.
KeVe1983

Yes, maybe thats the problem, but this is not the solution.
Otherwise it should be clearly stated that 3D BD25 encodes are just working fine with hardware players. Oh sorry, they also did not work fine with all hardware players, like i said and tested before. So it should be clearly stated that 3D BD25 encodes are just working fine with some special kind of hardware players.
I have a HTPC for playing all my files (TV-Shows, Movies, Bluray Discs)
Why should i buy an external hardware player?
Why should i buy blank bluray discs? (Btw. HDD capacity is cheaper)
So if BDRB is useless there are only 2 options:
- Backing up complete discs which need more disc space
- Using ***Fab for encoding which has very poor quality in complete bd25 encodes even on highest quality settings
Or maybe it's possible to get BDRB working the old way with SSIF folder/files. That would fix all issues for playback with software players.

Special hardware? Yeah right, my 3-4yr old panny DMP-BD100 plays them fine. No "special" hardware whatsoever. Sure, HDD may be cheaper but it's also riskier. I'd rather have 1 scratched disc i have to rebuild then a couple hundred lost when a harddrive crashes.
And i know the feeling about DVDCrap, 3D quality sucked when i tried it. 90% of the discs i tried it would fail at one point or another during the encode, and the other 10% of the time where it did go through the encode didn't work at all or there were FAR MORE pixellation issues than BDRB output now.
SSIF structure IS available (at least for movie-only, not sure about full disc) as detailed in the hiddenopts.txt file.

I remember that my parents had a Sony BD Player and my BDRB 3D encodes where fine. now they have a Philips BD player and have these artifacts. So there must be a diffence between some players.
I'm controlling my HTPC with a remote and i can access and play all my files so easily. So i just don't want an extra hardware player.
I also like Bluray menues and extras, so movie only is normally no option. But i'll try an Movie only encode with FORCE_INMUX_3D=0 + OUTPUT_3D_ISO later.
Maybe jdobbs can say if FORCE_INMUX_3D=0 will also work on bd25, or implement this in a futre update.
Fab is really crap!
Did a hardware encode and it takes me 90 Minutes for a disc which is pretty okay for me. But the picture was extremly pixelated in scenes with high bitrates.
So i did an "HQ" encode which took me 8+ hours.
But the result isn't even better than the fast quality setting.

Did an Movie Only Encode
Added
FORCE_INMUX_3D=0
OUTPUT_3D_ISO
to the .ini.
No SSIF folder/files created
No .iso created
Just got a BD Folder structure with inmuxed 3D m2ts

OUTPUT_3D_ISO needs to be OUTPUT_3D_ISO=1 in the settings file:
OUTPUT_3D_ISO=n n = 0/1 - 0=Off (default) - if set to "1", movie-only output is to an ISO rather than a folder

and just to make sure you do it correctly. Paramaters need to be placed under the [options] section.

Tested it
- [19:27:09] Reencoding video [VID_00800]
- Source Video: MPEG-4 (AVC), 1920x1080
- Rate/Length: 23,976fps, 130.861 frames
- Bitrate: 23.804 Kbs
- Using FRIMEncoder for MVC encoding
- [19:27:09] Reencoding: VID_00800, Pass 1 of 1
- [19:30:32] Video Encode complete
- [19:30:32] Processing audio tracks
Got a .iso with 5 minutes of the beginning of the movie, thats all.
Idk why he stops the encode and startet rebuilding.
The iso has SSIF folder/file, but playback has also artifacts
I have no idea what the problem is, but i think it must be Frim

Software Playback? Also did you try hardware player.

Software Playback? Also did you try hardware player.
Yes, PowerDVD, WinDVD and TMT
No i did not test hardware, because i dont have the player from my parents anymore.
Also i just want to use Software Player
Did a new encode with newer Frimencoder, but also artifacts.
So it seems there is no way for me to use BDRB if i want to use a Software Player

Oh, make sense. I have TMT as well and does same thing with FRIM output.

How can I prevent BD-RB converting PAL sources to NTSC when importing flv or mkv files? Do I have to convert them to avi or mp4 first?

Check the source, if the mkv's are 25fps pretty sure that gets carried over. flv doesn't have a framecount afaik.

Hello again! :)
Sorry if this has already been posted.
Trying to backup my BIRDMAN Blu-Ray to BD-9.
BDRB (AFTEN) fails to re-encode english soundtrack XLL to AC3, error #26001 1801.
Tried latest BDRB version with same result.
Backing up to BD-25 without re-encoding audio works fine.
