I m try to UHD TO BD25 with menu encoding to.. menu /sub/video all fine. just sync in audio . plzz tell me best audio setting & how to fix it. thanx ..I wish I knew. I've been struggling with that for almost a year now. That is why the UHD-BD function is considered "experimental" -- with a hope that someone catches something that might offer a solution.

Any idea why that 10 second audio delay is introduced during the muxing

Any idea why that 10 second audio delay is introduced during the muxingI'd have to see it to know. But... if BD-RB inserts a delay, it is because there is that much of a difference between the Presentation Time Stamp (PTS) of the first video packet and the PTS of the first audio packet. My guess would be it is caused by the way you cut it -- but, as I said, I'd only know if I could test the clip itself.

Just an update... I seem to be getting closer on the audio sync issue with UHD-BD -- at least based upon a small segment of a source I've been testing. I don't want to get too excited, though, as I've gotten to this point before only to find that the solution I implemented caused another problem when applied against a full movie. The unfortunate part is that it takes so long to encode, that it will usually take the better part of an entire day before I know whether it needs further tweaking. Then, if it does, there's another day to test that one!

That 10 second delay was present on both the full disc import (UHD) which had a 83ms delay, according to MediaInfo, and on the clip import, which had a 0ms delay, according to MediaInfo.
Might this delay have something to do with the audio sync issue others are reporting

If you wish I can cut the clip one more time and post it somewhere for you

1. Import multiple files. It creates a pseudo-structure with multiple menu entries. Let it finish importing.
I suspect you mean to import into the batch queue.
2. From the mode menu, select the ALTERNATE method to be used (output format)
I'm guessing this step can be skipped if it was already set.
3. Go to the "Batch" tab.
4. Right-click on the queue area.
5. Select "Add multiple playlists to Queue"
6. From the list, choose the playlist(s) you want to output in the format you selected in step 2.
Well, at this point it is not as you expected. The first time I did this, only one of the three playlists was given. Knowing as to how you like to have options for minimum minutes, I went looking and found MIN_PLAYLIST_MINS. The default is 15, which explained the one item, which is 16 min+. So, I added the option and set it to "1". Now nothing shows up.

UPDATE: Now I am really confused. I removed the option and there is still nothing.

Then I'd appreciate it if you didn't post comments about DVD import not working -- like this:...especially about a function that has been working correctly for years. If you had a problem, I'm guessing it is something related to those particular DVDs... although I don't recall your specific bug report.

[...]
If I sound pissed... it's because I am.

Ack!! I should have removed the post. I'll do that next. It wasn't meant to come across the way it was read by you, and I understand why it seems as it was. Pardon for not being clearer and not removing it.

Did you post over there, pointing out the error of his ways?

It's not me, there.

I edited my reply here.. I wasn't really annoyed or bothered THAT much, only commenting but I see how it WAS taken. Not my intent at all. Also had some personal stuff happening that I allowed to reflect some of my reply. Oops! I don't have any problems owning my own goofs.

@JD

Pardon, Boss. My reply should have been considered better and I accept the reason you became pissed. Respect!

Now you really have me confused. I'm trying to make MKV files from a DVD, as you've suggested, instead of using DVDFab.

I import into the Batch Queue from the DVD and select the three special features that I want made into MKVs. The result is as outlined in the post.

I import into the Batch Queue from the DVD and select the three special features that I want made into MKVs. The result is as outlined in the post.Yeah, my mistake, I forgot you are importing DVDs. But... still the same answer. Don't use batch import, that was a bad assumption. Use "Import DVD(s)...". That will import the DVD into a BD structure and make it the current project. Importing to batch doesn't do that, and the settings in steps 2-6 wouldn't apply, since they only affect the current job. When the import is complete -- follow the remaining instructions:

2. From the mode menu, select the ALTERNATE method to be used (output format)
3. Go to the "Batch" tab.
4. Right-click on the queue area.
5. Select "Add multiple playlists to Queue"
6. From the list, choose the playlist(s) you want to output in the format you selected in step 2.
7. Push the "Batch Backup" button.

You may want to clear the queue before you start now (to clear out the previous "Import to Batch" jobs.

You can save yourself some time by importing an entire season of DVDs at once. If you want to import multiple DVDs all at once, just put them all in a single folder, like this, for example:

Create a folder called "\MY_SERIES_SEASON1"

Then under that folder -- put folders containing each of the component DVDs, for example:
\MY_SERIES_SEASON1\MY_SERIES_SEASON1_D1
\MY_SERIES_SEASON1\MY_SERIES_SEASON1_D2
\MY_SERIES_SEASON1\MY_SERIES_SEASON1_D3
\MY_SERIES_SEASON1\MY_SERIES_SEASON1_D4
\MY_SERIES_SEASON1\MY_SERIES_SEASON1_D5

Then you could go to "Import DVD(s)" and select "\MY_SERIES_SEASON1" -- and it will import all the DVDs into a single BD structure. Then you can perform steps 2-7 and do the entire season at one time. Of course doing multiple discs at a time assumes you rip to your hard drive rather than reading directly from a DVD.

I've even rebooted the computer. It isn't a problem reading the disc as it read previously. Plus, I'm currently copying the contents to the HDD.

UPDATE: You ready for this crap. The disc that I was using, a copy of the original, now has corruption errors reading two of the IFO files. I had to borrow an original disc because my personal copy was not readable. I made another copy and read from that to the HDD.
BDRB likes it.

The first time I imported the DVD, the single entry appeared in the batch queue. That is when I went looking for the minimum minutes thing, because only one of the three entries was there. I have to clue how that entry got there. That is what had me fooled.

Things are better now. One for you and one for me today. :D

BTW, when the importing was done, the stream list only showed one of the three items I imported. But all three are there being worked on.

BTW, when the importing was done, the stream list only showed one of the three items I imported. But all three are there being worked on.That's the way it is supposed to work. Since movie-only ALTERNATE output is selected, only one playlist can be selected at a time (to output to MKV). So it chose the largest by default. Typically on a BD there is only one playlist you care about (the main feature) when outputting in movie-only mode. If you selected full backup they would all show up -- but, of course, you wouldn't be outputting to MKV in full backup mode, you would be reencoding to BD format.

If you want to create an MKV from more than one playlist, you would run each job individually and select "Other Movie-Only Playlist" between jobs to work with a different playlist -- or you could select each one, add it to the queue, then select the next, do that same, etc.

That's fine for a short list of jobs... but when you are doing a lot it can be a nightmare. That's why I created "Add multiple playlists..."

When you add multiple playlists to the queue, it actually creates a job for each selected playlist -- just like selecting a playlists and adding them to the queue -- but it adds them automatically. Then when you run in batch mode you are actually running a separate job for each playlist individually.

I guess I'll need to pick up that disc to see if I can repeat the issue. Does this Amazon link (https://www.amazon.com/Models-Blu-ray-Seann-William-Scott/dp/B001OD4S5A/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1540290464&sr=8-1&keywords=role+models+blu+ray) appear to be the disc you are having the issue with?

I'll cover you on it. :-) Nice that the price is lower than I paid.

Crap, I keep getting:
Run-time error '52':
Bad file name or number
I've even rebooted the computer. It isn't a problem reading the disc as it read previously. Plus, I'm currently copying the contents to the HDD.

YAY!! Someone else got the error I often see when Importing MKVs (made by BD-RB). I found that deleting WORKFILES, IMPORT after exiting helps a lot. If I leave the IMPORT there from previous jobs, yep...get a Runtime error often.

I have all of the Stargate DVDs. Remind me... what is the issue with them? Any particular season, or can I just test using S1-D1?

Umm...thinking.. It's been a while. All the decoders except DirectshowSource squished the 16:9 video to 4:3 on the sides. But it didn't happen when importing DVD... After I had BD-RB convert each Episode to MKV for Season 1 and 2. I'll find the HD I left off with, and have another look soon. Maybe I'll have a Winter Solstice present for my Mother...that was intended for 2 years ago (not a big deal).

In this case it didn't like the DVD copy I had made. It was an ISO copy as well. When I put in the original disc, the error went away. Of course it was an ISO copy, minus the copy protection.

Hi I have also an UBP-X800 and I reduced a 54 GByte UHD disc to a 50 GB dual layer Blu-ray removing nothing, but when I play the burned blu-ray on the Sony player I have a lot of artifacts (green lines/square, etc) since the beginning of the movie.
These artifacts are not present in the copy on my HD or when I play the same burned disc on the Blu-ray player of the PC even USB.

Could it be a problem of the encoding settings?

I burned the disc on a BD-RE, could it be a problem for the standalone player?

I have updated the first post of this thread with a link to the latest release of BD-RB (v0.60.04). Changes for this release:- Corrected issues with file import of MPEG2
sources that contain 2:3 pulldown flags.
- Added IMPORT_NO_PULLDOWN as a new hidden
option. When set it will remove pulldown
flags from MPEG-2 sources during import of
files or DVDs.
- Added two new hidden options. UHD_MAXRATE
sets the maximum bitrate for UHD encodes
and UHD_VBV_BUFFER sets the buffer size.
See HIDDENOPTS.TXT for more information.
- Other minor corrections and cosmetic fixes.

Thanks Boss!

BTW, when the HELL are you ever simply gonna setup a 'PayJDNOW@gmail.com' so that we can just start sending you some damn money???!!

Not to start some big commentary on it, but I did think there has to be a better way to link to the page, at least. You might want to consider a simpler way than to expect the masses to remember the Email address. Good note though when informing people.

Just thought I'd post an update. I have some more testing to do... but I think I may be very close to completing the UHD-BD module. After a couple of setbacks since my last update (I fixed the sync issue -- and the fix created a video stutter problem) After some testing it looks like I've gotten past all the major issues and am doing some testing to make sure it is consistent. My final tests are related to what bitrate BD-25/50 can actually provide without issues... Look for a new release in a day or two.

Some Catholic stuff was exposed not long ago, and the once were kids were talking about it and a great deal of anger. How the hee-haa does that Religion still exist?!?! Oy...

I hear DING, DING, DING at times and think Dinner. But, what's the prize?!? Huh? I'm all excited now...Mentally!! (Wanna stop any other references you might try to consider.)

Now I should find the Stargate files...

Problem: Converting BD to DVD - BDRB release 60.04
Title: "Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again" - BD from 4K USA release set ripped to hard disc to input to BDRB.
I selected the main title playlist to output to DVD5, choosing the 1st english lossless audio stream, and 2 english subtitles to include.
The program extracted streams to the Workfiles just fine, but when it goes into the reencoding stage it immediately fails (even brought up the Microsoft Windows "do you want to report the failure to Microsoft" box).
I reinstalled 60.02 - it behaves exactly the same way.
I reinstalled 50.25 - it initiates and runs the reencoding process just fine, but fails at the very end with a cannot mux type message (this type problem was previously reported and discussed).
I ran the very same input folders/files into multiAVCHD 4.1 and it created my DVD5 just fine.

My post was not clear enough I think . . I was using the 1080P BD disc from my 4K set - not the 4K disc.

I'm back to checking the Stargate DVDs and the files I made.

I get this error once in a while when importing MKVs. 87GB free, there isn't anything locking the path or files. Aside from BD-RB. When I exit BD-RB after this, delete IMPORTS, TEMPIMPORT then it'll all import well. I often have to delete them before it'll all go fine.

Hmm.. I didn't consider this until now because I don't have any problems with Directory Opus 11.5 that I've ever encountered. But I'll exit that program and then run BD-RB with a few re-imports and report back..
