Is this out of the setup of BD-Rebuilder?
I have selected Audio and Subs in the list from the Disc not from the setup (nothing is checked)! Those two values are collected and initiated based upon your settings. If they are empty, you have no audio or subs selected.

Yes, it is out of setup.
But when i select "ger" BD-Rebuilder NEVER selected automatically German (in any release!)

There are two German audio labels. One is 'ger', the other one is 'deu'. Both are used though on most recent blu-rays I only see the 'DEU' tag. So if you want to keep German + English you should add it like this

AUDIO_TO_KEEP=eng;ger;deu;
SUBS_TO_KEEP=eng;ger;deu;

Thanks for all the information. I finally found what was causing the issue and have corrected it. In looking through that section I also found another issue that had been reported related to incorrect subtitles/audio on those very-long multi-part features.

You should see a new release later today.

Hey @setarip_old,

Could you check these specific extra rips on your ROBIN HOOD Backup:

VID_00364 -> 00366

These are the extras (and the only tracks) I'm having issues with audio sync. They're original MPEG files at 480i and at 59 fps. The result on my full movie backup BD-9 using 34.11 is a tremendous amount of compression on these tracks (I assume because they're being reencoded using an MPEG compression from an extremely large file to more than 1/5 their original size) and the audio sync since its been re-encoded at 1/2 their framerate down to 29 fps.

Let me know what you find and if your results are ok .. what settings were you using. Thanks Fixed for the next release. Turns out these are hybrid sources. They are still 29.97fps (there is no such thing as 480i @ 59fps in blu-ray), but have mixed interlaced and pulldown parts intermingled. I've added code for detecting and processing hybrid.

@jdobbs:

I don't know whether or not this has been reported yet, but here goes:

Using latest release (0.34.11) I did Iron Man 2 full backup to BD25. The main movie is seamless-branched (some sort of special feature that in one playlist plays a set of m2ts's that assembles the movie, and in another playlist it replaces some m2ts's with different ones to show additional info over certain scenes) so as a result the whole thing it is split over quite a few m2ts files.

Anyways - bug report: BD-Rebuilder forgot to change the OUT_TIME of all the m2ts's and chapters in both playlists.
It altered the IN_TIME to the standard tsmuxer 00:10:00:00, but left the OUT_TIME as it was on the original disc.

Worth checking out. I'll provide additional information should you request it.

Hmmm.... I don't know how that is possible, but I'll look at it.

Actually, I just found that this isn't unique to those 2 playlists. There are alot of playlists on this disc and many of them contains a tsmuxer 10:00 in-time and an original-disc unaltered out_time.

Take a look here:

http://img801.imageshack.us/img801/9657/bdrb.png Any other processing other than BD-RB? There was a change (two months ago) in which I stopped calculating the end time based on the offset and began using the TSMUXER generated end-time instead. There was a slight difference that was causing a "pause" between segments.
August 2nd, 2010 - v0.34.06
- Modified the MPLS update routine so it checks original
OUT times against those created by TSMUXER and correct
where they differ. This could correct a slight stutter
at M2TS change point on some software players playing
a multi-part feature on a full backup.

Any other processing other than BD-RB? There was a change (a long time ago) in which I stopped calculating the end time based on the offset and began using the TSMUXER generated end-time instead.

No other processing but BD-RB, you know I know better than that :)
As for it being possibly tsmuxer's fault - I tried opening the m2ts in tsmuxer and remuxing it in blu-ray authoring mode just to see if it outputs the right in/out times in the generated playlist, and it does.
(Besides, how likely would it be that TSMuxer uses the EXACT out_time of the original-disc untouched m2ts?)

Hope this helps.

Hope this helps. Good point and a good catch. Actually that makes me think of where I might want to look. I noticed from your image that it doesn't happen on all M2TS's (00844 was correct, but 00394 was not).

I was just about to post a new version -- but I'm going to hold off until I figure this one out.

Do you still have the log from when you did that job?

Yes on both questions. I didn't rebuild a 2nd time, but I do believe that I stopped and resumed at some point.

Here is the log: http://pastebin.com/cvurMQ8n

Glad I could help again :)

Glad I could help again :) Yep, that's it. Before the change in August I was calculating the OUT time based on the original's length and the new start time. But since then the new OUT time is collected into memory from the CLPI when TSMUXER completes that M2TS. It wasn't staying persistent between restarts. So when the MPLS was updated during rebuild, the original M2TS value was present. I'm fixing it now.

@jdobbs;
You have been quite the busy man of late "eradictating" those pesky rodents! :p Excellent news. :)
This is fun following the development of BD-RB, and I congratulate you for your continued diligent efforts. :thanks:

I have updated the first post of this thread with a new release of BD-RB (v0.35.01). Changes for this release:- Added code to workaround certain types of audio
and subtitle extraction errors when working with
high count multi-part sources in movie-only mode.
- Corrected an error in which audio/sub tracks may
be incorrectly identified by track/language when
reencoded using movie-only mode from a multi-part
source with a large number of segments.
- Added the ability to inverse telecine interlaced
sources. You select it by right-clicking on the
stream in the stream list. This can dramatically
improve picture quality on hard or soft telecined
sources by encoding at 23.976 with pulldown flags
rather than 29.97. Note: Please be careful in
using this option as executing inverse telecining
on a non-telecined source will result in a
severely stuttering picture. It is not uncommon
for new users to confuse interlaced "combing" with
telecining. Since some types of inverse telecining
requires AVISYNTH, LAVF usage for a stream may be
by-passed when it IVTC selected.
- Added a new selection to the SETUP dialog to enable
automatic Inverse Telecining (IVTC) of sources
where pulldown/soft telecine is detected. This
option instructs BD-RB to inverse telecine during
decoding and to reinsert pulldown flags on any
detected soft telecined (3:2 pulldown) 29.97fps
sources. IVTC also converts soft telecined 1080i
sources to 1080p. IVTC is recommended for
processing sources that are targeted for playback
on standalone units, but may not be suitable if the
final playback device is a PC as some PC codecs
(e.g. the FFDSHOW AVC codec) don't sometimes play
back smoothly when pulldown flags are used.
Automatic IVTC for individual streams can be
manually deselected via the stream list (see bullet
1 above).
- Corrected several instances in which a failed demux
in TSMUXER could incorrectly result in the error
"ExtractAudio Subs() 00053 1605" or other errors.
- Added a fix that corrects bad characters in the
source Volume ID that could prevent the creation
of the output folder.
- Added code to distinguish between full pulldown and
hybrid sources. Hybrid is marked with "***" in the
streams window, soft telecine (pulldown) is "*".
- Corrected an error in which using LAVF on hybrid or
pulldown sources could cause audio sync problems.
- Corrected an error in which starting and stopping
a full backup under certain circumstances could
cause incorrect OUT time values to be inserted
during MPLS file updates.
- Updated the included version of X264.EXE to the
latest release (r1732).
- Updated the included version of X264-64.EXE to the
latest release (r1732).
- Other minor corrections and cosmetic fixes.

Crashed how? What was the message?

Almost always what appears to be a crash by X264 is an indication of either an overclocked (unstable) system, or the wrong versions of either AVISYNTH, FFDSHOW, or HAALI.

I've heard reports that on the second pass it will nail lots of cores... my X4 runs at 100%. I'm not sure if there is a limit... gotta' be at least a practical one.

I've heard reports that on the second pass it will nail lots of cores... my X4 runs at 100%. I'm not sure if there is a limit... gotta' be at least a practical one. There are two practical limits:

1) Where lookahead is slower than the main encode (depends on encoding settings).

2) Vertical resolution / 40 is roughly the maximum number of threads.

My X6 1090T gets 60-80% utilized on full/movie only backups with Automatic settings which are usually "Good" to BD25That could be a decoding bottleneck; I guess that's the third possibility.

With i7 980x get between 90 and 100% with HT disabled and between 75 and 100% with HT enabled (varies widely).
With ht enabled the performance increases in the range of 21%.
Of all the applications that use, the x264 is making the best use with the virtual cores.

Yes, I think so also when I run x264 from the command line for a given source it has no problem utilizing all of the cores.

Still having problems with IronMan2.ref:post 9728. Could you experts point me in the direction of where I could look to solve this problem?
According to BDReBuilder I have all the right versions. But it fails everytime I try. I know many of you have rebuilt IronMan2 with no problems. Any help would be appreciated DR

If you're talking about BD-RB overhead -- that's not even a consideration. It uses essentially no CPU time during X264 execution. Dark Shikari was talking about a decoding bottleneck -- which would be the same when running from command line or from within BD-RB (which actually does run it from command line).

Any help would be appreciated DR Uninstall and reinstall BD-RB and all support apps. I've done that disc at least four times in the last few days -- using every possible setting -- and it backs up cleanly. From your log, it appears I'm backing up the exact same disc...

What audio/subtitles are you keeping? Can you post your BD-REBUILDER.INI file?

I'm running it again right now just to be sure nothing has changed.

Could be a bad rip eh? Seems like DVD rebuilder gave me some problems a few times. It especially doesn't like Dirty outputs from other applications. Nero Vision, Shrink, etc. And a few movies were simply doomed. Could do nothing about it. "Signs" for instance.

Please excuse "Dirty". Not sure how else to explain :S

Crashed how? What was the message?

Almost always what appears to be a crash by X264 is an indication of either an overclocked (unstable) system, or the wrong versions of either AVISYNTH, FFDSHOW, or HAALI.

It was this usual windows message:

Windows encountered a problem with x264.exe
- search for a solution online
- close the program

something like this.

Now i encoded 3 movies over night w/o any problems.
Maybe it's because of many (short) files?

Normally i do an main movie extract (that i have one m2ts file) and then reencode out of this. -> I'll try again both methodes (from original and from new muxed).

Maybe it was a one time problem.

???? If you're talking about BD-RB overhead -- that's not even a consideration. It uses essentially no CPU time during X264 execution. Dark Shikari was talking about a decoding bottleneck -- which would be the same when running from command line or from within BD-RB (which actually does run it from command line).

Sorry to get off topic...
