I also use program which require avisynth 2.60
While not supported but so far bd-rb works with new version. However not gonna post bug report unless I use 2.58
Sent from my SM-G900W8 using TapatalkI'll install v2.6.0 on my test machine and run it for a while. If I find no issues, I'll change the recommended version.

Which operating system you are using?
Windows 7 Professional.
Windows 7 Professional.
Okay, I have that too. However I don't suspect it will make a difference or at least shouldn't.

Are you using default anydvd setting when processing or ripping movie.
Sent from my SM-G900W8 using Tapatalk
The only non default setting in Anydvd is show information window for new media.

Okay, that is fine and doesn't impact bd-rb

Tplat, I create backup copy of JUPITER ASCENDING and with setting you provided me and it worked out fine for this title.
Try this in BD-RB under setting click on output options and choose write to ISO file. Let's see if it makes a complete copy.

I think my hard drive in my laptop is crapping out. I ran into a few other problems today and did a check disc where for a little over an hour it was stuck on 11% so I aborted it and checked to see how it does just cruising the internet. Anything beyond that and it starts to have problems.. I got an external docking station with a desktop WD Raptor Drive as a back up for my laptops main hard drive and am going to pick up a new internal laptop drive with in the next few days. Been checking the daily Frys and Newegg adds.

And for those who use the Directshow as frame server, is slightly faster. The greater speed difference occurs in the first pass.

@IanD: 3D processing requires Windows 7 or above. This is due to specific code requirements by FRIM that are missing in vista or below. If you want to process 3D discs and keep 3d (no there is no trick, BDRB will then do its magic in combo with FRIM), you need to upgrade to Windows 7 at least. No way around that.
Thanks for the clarification. That's disappointing news as I'm using XP and have had no issues processing Bluray until now.
Why is FRIM necessary, since I don't want to perform any encoding, simply create an in-mux Bluray structure that doesn't take up twice the original disc space?
Is there an alternate utility that just performs a remux and which works under XP?

Is there an alternate utility that just performs a remux and which works under XP?I guess I never thought of that scenario, I'll see how hard it will be to check for target sizing and do 3D (even on older OS's) when no reencoding is required.
I'm not aware of any utility other than BD-RB (beyond expensive professional authoring tools) that will create an in-mux structure. If all you want is a movie-only backup, you can create an ISO with TSMUXER (it won't be in-mux). It won't double the space, since it is within an ISO.

I think it is great that your software is able to re-encode 3D down to 25GB, amongst other things, however my own usage is all via HDD where space is not so critical and if the studios release a certain quality, I don't want to compromise that. My players can all handle Bluray structure, but only one is capable of ISO, so for flexibility I am only creating Bluray structure now and BD-RB's ability to create an in-mux is essential for 3D.
If BD-RB can be simply modified to perform the full range of functions including full, movie-only and quick-play backup, where re-encoding is not required, under XP, for both 2D and 3D, that would be awesome.
Is there any chance of including separate Temp and Output fields, so that data can be routed between different drives for speed and reduced thrashing? I currently do all processing on an SSD that is large enough to handle a 50GB temp result but not an additional 50GB output and it would help having the option to write output to a different final destination drive.

But... with that said, there good reasons to avoid a reencode when it isn't necessary.
BD-RB already does the full range of functions -- so I don't think that's a very accurate statement. It simply limits reencoding of 3D only to those systems that have an OS that can support it. But, as I said, I will look at the idea of lifting that limitation when reencoding isn't occurring -- but it isn't as easy as you might think. BD-RB considers each playlist & M2TS individually to see if reencoding is necessary (not the overall disc, as you might assume). The only way to definitively determine whether an entire disc will fit is to extract all audio/video/subtitles before performing anything else and subtracting the size of the files that aren't kept -- which adds a LOT of time and disc-space requirements to the process. What I'll probably do instead is allow 3D muxing to be performed when the FORCE_NOENCODE hidden option is asserted.
You can already set BD-RB to use a different temporary and output folder -- see OUTPUT_FOLDER in HIDDENOPTS.TXT. But... I wouldn't expect much in terms of speed increases, as my tests have shown little -- and while there will be some reduction in the required space on the TEMP drive -- you'll find that isn't as much as you might assume either.

Storage is sufficiently cheap these days that the effort to compress a bit more, even if it doesn't actually compromise quality, doesn't seem worthwhile. Then there is the issue of Cinavia, if one burns to an optical disc, to make it somewhat pointless anyway in many cases.

Whatever method is easier for you. Even if I have to specify a custom output size of 500GB to get it not to re-encode.
Do you have explicit limits on output size, regardless of the custom size field? It seems like BD-RB is designed around fixed optical disc output sizes, rather than HDD capacity, but then I guess most customers are using discs instead of HDD.
I would particularly like to create an in-mux 3D quickplay folder version of Hobbit 1 3D (which is currently on 2 separate discs) on HDD as a more compact working version than using my original discs.

Probably the jdobbs will approve because it seems to work just fine. Other software that deserved an update is the Haali Media Splitter to version 23062013.

Hey JDOBBS, first, I want to thank you for creating a brilliant piece of software. Ive done many titles and have had few problems. I am having trouble with one right now, and any advice that you could give me to fix this on my own would be appreciated. "Orange Is The New Black' Season one disc one. The other discs in the set processed fine. Here is the log file.

That error is almost always caused by a bad rip. What ripper did you use? I'd suggest re-ripping the source.

For the rippper, I used AnydvdHd. Same Program Ive used for everything I've backed up with your software, around 200 disc, give or take, so I dont think its the ripper. I will clean the disc ( it appears to be in excellent shape though) and re rip, and report back. Thank you for the response. Your software has made it to were I dont fear the kids or the wife handling the original discs. Thank you so much for your work.

I'm pretty sure it is a bad rip -- it has been on every report of that error. Sometimes you just get a hiccup.

After 100's of backups, I have one that won't play right. I always test play the burned disc before adding it to my collection for later. Taken 3 , movie only, immediately starts with jerking video, like it hesitates, then try's to catch up. The audio is also out of sync. Oddly enough with this movie I made a backup for my RV which only has a DVD. The alternate movie only output plays just fine. I switched settings to x264 from Directshow for decoding and it made no difference. Using ImgBurn I created an ISO from the slysoft rip and the 43GB ISO plays just fine.
I'll order a 50GB BR disc, but it bugs me this one won't play nice for me.

Use Tsmuxer to create a blu-ray structure from the main movie playlist of the original decrypted ISO.
See if it throws up any errors or warnings.

I'll see if I can find "Taken 3" and give it a test run with your settings. Based on your location, I assume it is the US version. In the meantime I'd suggest uninstalling/reinstalling AVISYNTH and LAV Filters (or FFDSHOW and HAALI) and giving it another run.
Has anyone else successfully run this disc?

Could you please post your log for the encode or Taken 3? I see at least one issue -- the first M2TS is being kept in its original format, while others are being encoded -- that should never happen on a movie-only encode.

techno1, try what I suggested with tsmuxer gui and check for any bad frames indications in its logInteresting. Your encode is 6 minutes longer than mine. Did you encode an extended version?
Even with the differences though, and the fact that the first segment didn't get re-encoded (which I have to fix) my rebuild is working correctly with no sync issues. It was just good luck that the original happened to also be encoded in AVC.

Hi,
I have a problem with some BD.
I uncheck some languages, BD rebuilder remove this on m2ts but when I play, The subtitles are shifted.
Are there has an option to replace to white track ?
Thanks

Yes, I did the extended version
Funny how your first segment didn't get re-encoded and mine did.

I'll see if I can find "Taken 3" and give it a test run with your settings. Based on your location, I assume it is the US version. In the meantime I'd suggest uninstalling/reinstalling AVISYNTH and LAV Filters (or FFDSHOW and HAALI) and giving it another run.
Has anyone else successfully run this disc?
jdobbs, I reinstalled FFDSHOW, HALLI, AVISYNTH and then LAV Filters and have the same resulting skipping video with out of sync audio.
I installed LAV Filters last and BD-RB indicated on start LAV was not set correctly it would make changes for Windows 7. Here is my INSPECT result.
- Windows Version: 6.1 [7600]
- AVISYNTH Version: [2.6.0.6], not recommended version
- HAALI Splitter: [1.13.138.14], not recommended version
- FFDSHOW: [4532], not recommended version
- WIN7 preferred AVC CODEC: Not Set correctly

is this from the help menu inspect
Good catch, I don't think that would be the case. Probably old inspect.

jdobbs, I reinstalled FFDSHOW, HALLI, AVISYNTH and then LAV Filters and have the same resulting skipping video with out of sync audio.
I installed LAV Filters last and BD-RB indicated on start LAV was not set correctly it would make changes for Windows 7. Here is my INSPECT result.
- Windows Version: 6.1 [7600]
- AVISYNTH Version: [2.6.0.6], not recommended version
- HAALI Splitter: [1.13.138.14], not recommended version
- FFDSHOW: [4532], not recommended version
- WIN7 preferred AVC CODEC: Not Set correctly
- WIN7 preferred VC-1 CODEC: Not Set correctly
- WIN7 preferred MPEG2 CODEC: Not Set correctly
- FFDSHOW VC-1 set to "wmv9", Ok
- FFDSHOW MPEG2 set to "libavcodec": Ok
- FFDSHOW AVC set to "libavcodec": Ok
- AnyDVD settings check: Ok.
- BD-RB v0.50.0.7, not currentSo nothing is configured correctly, none of the recommended versions are used, you still haven't given me the log I requested -- and you're asking me "what's wrong"?
Please review the first post of this thread or read the file README.TXT in the BD-RB folder for installation instructions. Also, INSPECT results are now provided from the HELP menu withing BD-RB.

I understand that sometimes people don't read manuals... but all I have for instructions is the requirement to read is a single page. Is that too much to ask?
Meanwhile I'm having to deal with a clueless noob who keeps making "I'm so smart" comments via e-mail because he's too dense to understand that a two-and-a-half year old version of X264 isn't the latest release. There's nothing more annoying than people who are too stupid to know how stupid they are (I'm talking about the e-mail jerk -- not techno1).
Advice to anyone: NEVER create free software. Your time and effort is never appreciated and you only become a target for the "I'm entitled" crowd.

I understand HWK, it's been many years since I first installed BD-RB and forgot about the readme page. My bad...or better yet, my bad memory and many life issues.
This is my first hick-up in 100's of successful backups. I'm also a regular donator to the author, so I appreciate the software.

I understand things do happen like this. Anyways once you install correct software then we can move forward once again.
