mmm didnt get that, are you saying that changing the title of the folder might work?? well i dont think thats the problem because i have rebuilded more movies from that page and eveything was perfect, just this one i have problems

He's saying, in a polite way, that you've downloaded an illegal copy which, as the ripping process can't be guaranteed, shouldn't be used to try and identify bugs in a beta pro gramme - apart from all of the other forum rules.

I'm sorry if this is posted somewhere but I don't see it. Where can I get a copy of this older version of BDRB ??

You can't - it serves no purpose beta testing an old version. Now that jdobbs knows that an earlier version worked on a title he should be able to fix the bug on the latest one.

ok I downloaded the latest version of matroska splitter, installed and still, i am getting in the inspect control, that haali isnt the recommended version, I downloaded the archive that is in the first post of the forum but how can i use those files, it says realesed and inside is a matrokaspliter.ax, do i have to copy it and paste in the haali folder? because i checked that folder and i didnt find any other files called matroskaspliter.ax just spliter.axOMG. Nowhere in my response did I tell you to download the "latest version" -- in fact I said just the opposite. Go to the first post of this thread and download ONLY THE VERSION THAT IS LINKED IN THAT POST. I can't predict what new bugs or incompatibilities are introduced when new versions are released. I can only say that they often don't work.

Please follow directions.

Just to be sure we are both on the same page, I am having the problem with Star Trek TOS. If so, I'm wondering when to expect the next release. Thanks so much.

That one was caused by changes I made to support qpfile. The new version will come out when I finish the code for DTS Express -- which is taking much longer than I anticipated (not because it's so incredibly hard -- but because I've been incredibly busy lately).

Well i hope your workload decreases soon lol. I've been waiting on a version that supports DTS-Express so i can finally rebuild my Fast & Furious 4 blu-ray box. All of em have express :p

jdobbs, did you read that thing of me with 2nd audio stuff, that is in source detected as DD plus and after rebuilding, when I read this stuff into BD-RB it is detected as DTS express?

Actually I try this DTS express dropping stuff to use as a workaround to drop out the 2nd audio out of my dreamwoks movie (Monster vs Aliens and later I will try Madagaskar 2 too).

When it works it would be nice to be able to deselect 2nd audio as long as the output not works in TMT3.

I saw your post -- but I went back and looked at the code and could find no way that BD-RB could change the flags from DD+ to DTS Express. Were you using any other software like BDEDIT at the time?

KarstenS

Maybe a detecting problem? I mean that it detects it wrongly in original as DD+, but after rebuildung correct as DTS express.

Struck for rule 6. Read and follow forum rules. Note rule 17 and don't discuss this ruling here. Use PM if you want to discuss it further.

Feedback about dreamworks movies with secondary video and playback in TMT3: After doing my workaround (http://forum.doom9.org/showpost.php?p=1424687&postcount=9111) to drop the 2nd audio stream, now the result run fine in TMT3 without audio issue.

i have problems with a ripped bd. i use bd rebuilder v0.34.06 beta. all audio options are set correctly so that bd rb must demux all audiotracks (at least english dts and german ac3), but it demuxes only the english dts stream and reencodes it. i use the "full backup" methode and the mainmovie-original is splitted in 14 parts!
i hope the next beta will solve the problem!

and by the way, what´s about the ugly pixel effect (pixelfragments) at the beginning or end of the rebuilded m2ts stream and the delay of -250 until -260 ms (i use tsmuxer to correct it)?

What is the movie??? I don't have any problems with "pixel fragments" on any of my 50+ backups. Do you have the correct helper apps installed as per the first post of this thread?

Your system is very probably misconfigured. Do a complete reinstall per the instructions in the first post of this thread.

hi,i have one movie around 45gb and main movie files existing from 23 parts like chapters but they made this movie as 23 parts and playlist, also another special features parts are bigger than main movie parts,bd rebuilder's quicker mode encoding the main movie files as low bitrates, how i can change that size of special features videos 1080p to 720p? for get capacity to main file?i want to leave the main movie files as 1080p and reduce the bitrate 23000 to 15000-17000 for fill to bd25

Note:if i leave to bdrebuilder for do automatic encoding in bd25 mode, movie files being around 10000mbps,it seems like unquality,i would to keep high the bitrates for main movie

Thanks in advance
Matt

I've updated the first post of this thread with a link to the latest release (v0.34.07) of BD-RB. Changes for this version:- Fixed an error in which a secondary audio stream that
was originally DD+ can be incorrectly flagged as DTS
Express in the CLPI file output.
- Corrected an error introduced in v0.34.05 that could
result in "CreateAVS() 00000".
- Corrected an error that could result in a display of
"Error 2501 SourceCheck() 00009".
- Updated the included version of X264.EXE to the
latest release (r1688).
- Other minor corrections and cosmetic fixes. I mainly wanted to get the fixes out for a couple of errors, DTS Express support is still being worked for the next release.

Scanning of "Cars" now without error message. Rebuilding and testing now.

I'll test a pip movie of Dreamworks (Monster vs. Aliens) after I am ready with Cars. I've got a little bit hope, that this will also fix the TMT3 issue.

I just downloaded the latest. It has the same minor bug as 06. I use one pass abr "good" profile. The last thing I check before hitting the Backup Button is Encoder Settings. It shows Idle priority, Good profile and One Pass Abr checked. I hit Backup, and the log tells me it's using 2 pass abr mode. The fix is to go into Encoder Settings, uncheck One Pass Abr Mode, then check it again, then start the backup. Then it will use One Pass Abr Mode.

A minor thing. Looks like something isn't getting written out unless you kick it. :)

edit: Don't know if it's a clue but I didn't have this issue in .05 beta. I noticed the log text is different. It used to say either one pass abr or two pass abr. Now it tells you 2 pass on 2 pass abr, but if it's one pass, it just says abr.

I'm doing the first encode and everything is proceeding fine though.

I have noticed that some of my rips freeze at a certain point in the movie and the only way to get past that point is by starting the movie over and fast forwarding past that spot? I'm getting this on both Standalone and PS3. For example this occurred on Valentine's Day but not Kick-Ass. On the PS3 after about a minute it goes to 'The data is corrupted', but what I don't understand is how can it be corrupt if when you fast forward past that one small part it works fine?

BTW, I have never had any errors in BD Rebuilder and use the default settings except for changing 1080p to 720p. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

JDobbs: The media can't be bad, after everything is ready to burn before even put on CD, I've tested to see if it locks at the same point as it does on the PS3 and standalone and it does on the computer.

If it helps even more, this is on a fully refresh Windows 7 machine, pretty bare. This occured on Windows XP as well. There is no freeze after a complete rip using AnyDVD only after rebuild is complete.

The rip is solid, I've played the full file without fast forwarding it with no stutters or freezes. I only get the issue after BD Rebuilder does the backup. Like I said Kick-Ass worked perfectly after a backup, however Valentine's Day had I believe 2 or 3 freezes after backup. This also occurred on She's Out of My League towards the end of the movie once.

Edit: JDobbs, if this is not some issue with the program, do you or anyone else have any idea what hardware issue this could be, as it doesn't really make sense to me as this computer is about a year old and nothing is considered old and I work in the IT industry, so I can tell old from semi-new. :)

@AcePuppy:
perhaps a test at full 1080P resolution rather than resize to 720P, just to rule that out as a possibility?
Also, are these full disc backups or movie only?
For standalone testing, what are you using to burn with, IMGBurn? or other software?

If this isn't a bug and I'm just being dumb tell me and I'll leave you alone :)

I've been playing around with BD-Rebuilder for the last couple of days to create a full backup to BD-9. As far as I'm aware I've followed the instructions to the letter and get OK checks for Haali etc. I also allow BD RB to burn using ImgBurn. On completion it appears I've created a BD-9 but every disk I create will only show up as 'Data' on my PS3. I don't seem to get any errors in the log file either. Well, not that I'm aware.

So it's either a bug, the source is at fault or I'm doing something wrong. Any help would be appreciated.

I can not encode The last Emperor. I get no audio. I tried 34.05,06 and 07.

I had the same problem, I was doing movie only and BD_RB didn't have any selectable audio even though you know there has to be something there. If I remember correctly, running it thru Clown_BD fails also, but I used tsMuxeR_GUI output to bluray format to finally get a 224K stream that BD_RB recognizes. Then if you set BD_RB to use 224 audio it comes out fine. (THIS IS FOR MOVIE ONLY OF COURSE). This kind of  audio has shown up on a couple other foreign disks. Happy Encoding!

@AcePuppy:
perhaps a test at full 1080P resolution rather than resize to 720P, just to rule that out as a possibility?
Also, are these full disc backups or movie only?
For standalone testing, what are you using to burn with, IMGBurn? or other software?

The test is run at full 1080p when it's run from AnyDVD and shows no problems, I have not done a backup with the resolution to be 1080p only resize to 720p, but I don't think that would be the issue, but I'll try this weekend.

I have tried both full disc backups as well as movie only and get the same result with the movie.

For burning, I use IMGBurn.

This is probably more a hardware or codec issue, then BD Rebuilder it's-self, but what I don't understand is almost all of my hardware is less than a year old and was customized built by myself. I did a clean refresh to Windows 7 with no codecs previously installed and only installed BD Rebuilder and AnyDVD, following the instructions on the first page but still have a random freeze that never unfreezes at the certain point in each movie, but if I go past that point it works fine unless there is another freeze. I also get this same probablem if I DL x264 720p's off other places. So any help fixing this issue would be great.

I noticed you have only "English" selected to keep. Is there and english track on the original?

JDobbs: The media can't be bad, after everything is ready to burn before even put on CD, I've tested to see if it locks at the same point as it does on the PS3 and standalone and it does on the computer.

If it helps even more, this is on a fully refresh Windows 7 machine, pretty bare. This occured on Windows XP as well. There is no freeze after a complete rip using AnyDVD only after rebuild is complete.

Run INSPECT.EXE and post the results.

When using Playstation 3 you have few options:

FULL BACKUP - use BD-R/RE media
MOVIE ONLY BACKUP - use BD-R/RE or DVD-R media

I believe this is your case:
FULL BACKUP with NO JAVA (BD-J) - use DVD media (BD5/BD9) but you'll have to patch the output (index.bdmv) with goBD (http://download.videohelp.com/deanbg/goBD-tool.exe)tool or AVCHD patcher and PS3 will recognize it as AVCHD

FULL BACKUP with JAVA (BD-J) can't be used when written to DVD media.

I have experienced some "strange" audio UPconversion with 34.06 (havent tried latest 07 yet):

Title "Breaking Up" has (according to tsMuxeR) these two audio streams I wanted to keep:

German DD 5.1 448kbps
English DD 2.0 192

Rebuilder output was:
German 640kbps
English 224kbps

Tried two times as I wanted to make sure I had no weird settings in the setup, which look like this:

http://forum.doom9.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=11369&stc=1&d=1281540633

Usually BD RB downconverts to 640 or 448 if selected but was has changed now?

That's normal. BD-RB uses 224Kbs for stereo audio because (due to muxing) it uses exactly the same amount of space as a 192Kbs encode. I think you may be mistaken about the original German stream being 448Kbs. Blu-ray normally uses 640Kbs, and in HD the core is 640Kbs (unless it has been preprocessed in some way).

Thanks for the quick reply.

First let me say the material has not been preprocessed - AnyDVD was used and that's all.

The bigger of the two DD streams is 448 according to tsmuxer and TMT3 also states this bitrate during playback:

http://forum.doom9.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=11370&stc=1&d=1281543106

Dont be confused by the fact that tsMuxeR declares stream #2 as GERMAN, which in fact is wrong - it's English.

I DEselected the LPCM stream so normally it cannot be the source for a downconversion to 640kbps which leaves me to assuming that the 448kbps stream was changed.

The BD output looks like this:

Who can help me with this error?
I have tried the fullbackup without any error.

It doesn't matter which target size I choose on movie only, the error occurs.
