The reason is the >255 characters for the path - an OS limitation.
You may want to try Clown_BD or MakeMKV to merge the many files into one big MTS before throwing it to BD-RB.
I didn't count the characters in your case, but maybe you could simply shorten your workfolder path to say C:\Temp\ instead of H:\FILES\APPS\BD-RB\WORKING\WORKFILES\
Good luck. Of course that wouldn't be much of a help in getting BD-RB out of beta... I'd rather we figure out a way to make it work rather than inserting third party software.

Right, I'll try reducing the path as much as I can. The more robust solution would be to get tsmuxer to avoid using those ridiculous concatenated file names. How's about out.wav or temp.wav?

Well, re-ripped and tried again.
failed again at a different point this time:
- [16:59:05] Reencoding: VID_00085 (22 of 29)
- Error in attempt to multiplex: MUX_00085.meta
-
[17:02:31] - Failed to build structure, aborted
I'm at a loss now...

JDobbs,
Same issue here. Failed to encode with the x264 I D/L from X264 site, but worked fine with the one you just posted
Not sure what changed in the last compile of X264, but thanks

You really can't because you're demuxing several streams at once and aren't given the opportunity to provide an output name (only a folder). You can only name them if you are doing one at a time. That could take hours. The alternative would be to output them (contatenated) to an intermediate M2TS -- but even that would take twice as long and require twice as much space.

Not sure what changed in the last compile of X264, but thanks BD Rebuilder now requires the "--NAL-HRD" patch in order to work -- so the standard build (without the patch) will fail.

@bennynihon
The error is caused by TSMUXER, not BD-RB. I'm looking at a possible workaround, hopefully for the next release.
What disc are you doing? The only one I've seen this error reported on before is the European version of WALL-E.
What would be really helpful is if tsMuxeR were updated, correcting this bug and perhaps adding DTS Express support. :)
But since there does not seem to be any help from SmartLabs on this, it gets added to your "to do list".
It would be nice if you could implement your own "remuxer", as you did with DVD Rebuilder, making it the best DVD backup program! (IMHO) :p

I did shorten my output path a bit by using c:\temp as my working directory and that overcame the problem. Thanks!

jdobbs, is that a build that will be updated as frequently as the x264 homepage?
If so, what is the address for the latest builds?
TIA

TIA They are updated very often/quickly. I download from here (http://www.x264.tk) most of the time now. You can also find them in this thread. (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=130364)
I'm also adding a hidden option to the next version that will allow you to use non-patched versions. The difference is that without the patch you are relying on TSMUXER's insertion during muxing -- which very likely isn't as compliant.
But, with that said, I highly recommend that people stick with the version included in the BD-RB zip. It will have been tested, is always very close to the latest release, and is much less likely to be the source of problems.

If you think it is ANY DVD, I would try DVDFAB (trial Version) their latest release supports most of the new Copy Protections out there for the exception of Paramount titles.
That way you at least rule out if it is anyDVD, Your Disc, and then or your system or even worse BD REbuilder

FYI for anyone doing SW Clone Wars Vol.1: I finally figured out why BD_RB was crashing.
IE: STAR_WARS_CLONE_WARS_S1_BOX\BDMV\STREAM\00096.M2TS already exists.
[21:04:07] - Failed to retrieve audio, aborted
The afore mentioned 00096.m2ts is just a static screen that shows up for 5 seconds in the end credits. This m2ts is only about 20 MB but being it is an episodic disk it calls for this 00096.m2ts about 7 times. BD_RB would always choke on it because it was trying to encode the same file over and over in the audio stream. If you leave it out and try to combine the other m2ts files it gets out of sync progressively worse as it plays. I was able to remove 00096.m2ts and use ClownBD to get everything synced back up and am now encoding movie only BD9. I was able to do a full backup with BD_RD to BD-25 but really wanted it to work as DVD_DL. Seems AnyDVD_HD misses things every now and then. You win some you lose some. Have Fun, worknstiff

Looks to me like you have keep HD Audio ticked and you are trying to encode a BD_5 disk and not enough room for the video.

I don't believe anything has changed that would correct that -- what you're seeing there is a TSMUXER error (usually, but not always, caused by a bad rip). About the best I could do is try to provide a workaround of some sort.
I gave it a try with the new version and still EARTH_US still had the same error, and i ripped the movie twice with anydvd as always and still the same error message. never had a problem with any other movie

I've updated the first post of this thread with a new release of BD-RB (v0.31.05). Changes for this version:- Added code to recognize "streams are not syncronized"
errors from TSMUXER and take action to automatically
workaround by extracting video/audio streams
independently. This should fix it in most cases.
- Build a workaround routine for movie-only encodes in
which the TSMUXER output filename during A/V extract
violates length restrictions and causes "Can't create
output file" error.
- Added new hidden option "USE_NAL_HRD=n". If set to
"1" (the default) the "--nal-hrd" parameter is used in
the command line. This requires an X264 build which
includes the NAL-HRD patch (as is the one included
with BD Rebuilder). Setting to "0" (not normally
recommended) disables the "--nal-hrd" switch.
- Corrected an error that could cause movie-only backups
to not extract and remux properly when small enough to
fit on the target and it consists of multiple parts.
- Updated the included version of X264.EXE to the
latest release (r1360 w/nal-hrd patch).
- Other minor corrections and cosmetic fixes.

You have one AC3 and one DTS audio track with a target size of a DVDR. My guess, not enough room, try adjusting your target size.

@dragonknight;
This may not be related, but it seems like an awful lot of content to be backed up to a BD9. (Approximate total content: [04:48:58.370])
Have you tried to BD-25, or even just a movie only backup to BD9, just to rule out a few other potential options?

I have a problem with the movie " the mummy 4, tomb of emperor dragon", error: Audio and/or PGS size too large. Probable oversize. Please helpme. thanks. It usually means that the audio you are attempting to keep is too large for the target size selected and there is no room for the video.

This is usually caused by there being lots of duplicate and unnecessary audio tracks in the extras. Try changing your settings to only one audio and then adding in any extra ones you need in the main movie by double clicking on them (for instance for a commentary track). Sometimes you can just continue and the output size is okay. I certainly did Mummy 4 several months ago and it was okay.

@jdobbs
Are you using the X264 version that is included in the BD Rebuilder zip?
Yes, using the one included with 31.05
Am using Windows Vista 64b (i920CPU). When I was trying to reproduce the Full Version, there was also a pop up window, saying TSEMuxer failed and the option to "Close the Program". I was not near the computer when this happened so I can't give a timeline.
In the original log file the crash appears to have happened 4 hours after reporting the inital error. So my assuption is that TSEMUX, just died when nothing was happening.
I backed up Movie Only with no problem. I am going to try the full version again later today.
Thanks

I had no problems with a movie only backup to BD5 for Night at Meuseum2, US version.
You are having a setup issue with Haali or ffdshow.

- Encode failed. Retrying. You're using an outdated version, please update and try again. Also, make sure you have HAALI, AVISYNTH, and FFDSHOW installed. usually an error like you're seeing means one of those isn't installed/configured properly.

Check/reinstall haali and ffdshow, and install WMP 11, if you have not already. Also, make sure ffdshow is set up up correctly for VC-1 decoder. ( disabled )

It's definately a set up problem on your end, sorry to say.:o
I did a full backup to BD-25 and a movie only backup to BD9 of the US version of this disc, both worked flawlessly.

I forgot to report that 31.04 fixed the audio sync issues I was having with theatrical/extended movies, thanks :)
But I have another problem to report... When converting some music titles, for example the "Elton John 60" Region A disc, when I play the disc, it loads only the menu background, with no interface elements. But if I press the "top menu" button on the remote control, then only does the menu show up.

Are you doing movie only? If yes, then my advice would be to use Clown_BD to create a combined version of the m2ts instead of the many. Let Clown_BD/eac3to fix all of the audio gap issues found with seamless branching movies. I was able to back up this movie to BD25 without any problems afterwards.

@IlPorcospino
Hi!
The problem with the Eurpoean version of "Ice Age 3" (not simply "Ice Age" which is a different movie) has been discussed several times in this thread. You can locate such posts by using the "Search this thread" function at the top of this page.
For a "movie-only" version, re-rip your original BluRay disc with either the latest version of MakeMKV (and then use tsMuxeR to create a BluRay "package" for input into BD Rebuilder) or the latest version of AnyDVD HD...
