Oh, it works. seems the efforts aren't wasted. ^ ^
After updating drivers MPC-HC's internal decoder plays video with hardware acceleration. (the newest drivers on Lenovo notebook's website for my card is over one year ago...)
Thanks all for your helps very much.
i think it's always best to use the drivers from the chipset provider rather than the drivers from the end-provider. when i got my ASUS 8600GTS i never bothered to install the drivers from the CD.
glad it sorted out for you

i installed the Nvidiadrivers ooferomen mentioned: 177.73 drivers avaible from here (http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=268631)
and finally i dont have to use the "16-235-->0-255" Shader anymore :

this driver also seem to generate less macroblocking on problematic files. macroblocking will only persist for a few seconds when searching (used sample here (http://rapidshare.com/files/119904407/_BakaWolf__AIR_01.BD-720p_H.264_DD5.1__-001.mkv)).

Thx alexins,
some feedback:
Here is h264 by default settings with internal filters; everything seems fine with my nVidia:
http://img166.imageshack.us/img166/3006/701avcsa1.th.jpg (http://img166.imageshack.us/my.php?image=701avcsa1.jpg)
Here is VC1 by default settings with internal filters; don't know how to explain but let me tell "pixelisation" occurs and sure no DXVA:
http://img518.imageshack.us/img518/7792/701vc1dm8.th.jpg (http://img518.imageshack.us/my.php?image=701vc1dm8.jpg)
Here is no DXVA but no "pixelisation" with Haali, it works with MPC-HC as well when i disable MPEG PS/TS at source filters under internal filters option and enable haali at external filters option as "preferred":
http://img518.imageshack.us/img518/4685/701vc1hwv3.th.jpg (http://img518.imageshack.us/my.php?image=701vc1hwv3.jpg)
BTW, here is the chain created by arcsoft filters:

btw, very few vendors have good driver support. other than bios and special feature driver(things like special function key) , it's better hunt new driver by yourself.

The same code is used for both 32/64 builds. So your proposed changes must be made conditional (using the preprocessor).
Those who have problems with GraphEdit should use a recent build of the standalone filter. GraphEdit has a bug that occurs when a filter has more than 115 mediatypes.

P.S. Even if you're not going to accept my proposal to add 64-bit / 32-bit text at least please modify the position for OK button from the about box or even better remove it

Minidump is only useful if the application crashes, right?
There are several people, including myself, that experience occasional stability issues with MPC. Most common stability issue is that MPC freezes while opening a file, so before playback has started. The application doesn't crash. Process needs to be killed using the TaskManager.
Maybe you could add some internal logging functionality controlled by a hidden option (off by default)? For example to write mplayerc.log to %temp% directory. That would allow us to gather some info on the approximate location in the code where a freeze may occur.

I'd like to request support for WASAPI as audio renderer.
They have it in foobar now and it seems to work well for me so far.
There are probably example files available from MS that shows how to implement it since it is new in Vista and presumably MS wants people to use it.
I'm just saying, if there are easy examples it will probably be easy to add support for it.

Yes minidump are for crash only. A log for mpc would be a good thing, but don't think it help a lot to find freeze.
If you can reproduce this bug with debug binary, maybe you can use ProcessExplorer to find which thread is blocked?

how can I play FLV files with MPC? I was able to play them before. I don't know what I did, but MPC can't play FLVs any more.
Opening a flv file, I get this:
The following pins failsed to find a connectable filter
VGA 16 Color Ditherer::XForm Out
Color Space Converter::XForm Out
If I uncheck FLV from list of internal filter to let ffdshow handle it, MPC freezes when I try to load a flv.

ffdshow is only a decoder (aka transform filter). Source filters (aka splitters) are a whole different kind of filter. Source filters are used from reading files, transform filters are used to decode the contents. So you should leave the source filters enabled regardlesss if you use ffdshow or not. You should disable an internal source filter if you wish to use an other filter, like Haali Media Splitter.

it looks this way with DXVA on or off with mpc-hc filter but it looks normal with the cyberlink decoder.
sample here:

Yes, and same behaviour with VLC and MPlayer so I guess it might be a ffmpeg issue (something wrong in the encoding that ffmpeg can't deal with ?).
And I'm still having huge audio/video sync problems with this file when using the internal filters even with latest builds (708):
http://trailers.nerodigital.com/Warner/GetSmart_HD.mp4
The video is far behind the audio. However it's playing fine when using another decoder (CoreAVC) and it's also playing fine in VLC and MPlayer.

Synchronization problems are often the result of a decoder that can't keep up. Check your CPU usage. If one of your cores is running at full capacity, then you have found your answer why this file doesn't play properly for you.

The internal FLV1/4 Decoder crashes with this trailer of Prince of Persia (http://stashbox.org/170625/t_PrinceofPersia_ExclTrlr_gt_SH_EMBARGO11PM_gt.flv). There is no problem playing it in VLC (so it probably not the problem of libavcodec).
Test it little more and found that it crashes only with Haali's Video Renderer (so it may be Haali's bug).

CoreAVC or VLC have no DXVA support.
Yes, that's my point, I'm using software mode only even with MPC-HC. I guess I have poorly phrased what I meant.
So I'm always playing this video in software mode, doesn't matter which player/filters I'm using.
Synchronization problems are often the result of a decoder that can't keep up. Check your CPU usage. If one of your cores is running at full capacity, then you have found your answer why this file doesn't play properly for you.
So I've made some tests with no other app running in the background:
During the telephone sequence:
VLC 0.9.0: from 34% up to 44% CPU, sync OK
MPC-HC 708 with internal splitter and CoreAVC: from 34% up to 57% CPU, sync OK
MPC-HC 708 with both internal filters: from 39% up to 52% CPU, out of sync
None of the cores is getting overloaded.
The video is about 5 seconds behind the audio.
For testing purposes, I've also set the internal decoder to use only one thread, just in case, but that changed nothing but the CPU usage. The video is still out of sync.
And BTW this is the only video which is having sync problems with MPC-HC on my system.

The correct formula for culculating DXVA compatibibility =
IF Width="<=720" AND height="<=576" GOTO="SD"
ELSE GOTO="HD"
SD
IF Width X Height X ref frames = <=6531840 Enable DXVA
Else Enable software mode
HD
IF Width X Height X ref frames = <=8355840 Enable DXVA
Else Enable software mode
Would one of the programmers translate this to usable code and update the SVN?
This code accurate blocks all non-compatible files while still allowing all compatible files regardless of them being level 3.1 or level 4.1
If a file that stays within ref-frame limit still does not work after this it has either been encoded incorrectly(possible bug in encoder) or there is a bug in MPC-HC decoder or there is a bug in the videocard driver

Sample files are very much welcome. Then maybe this issues can be fixed.
I don't have any problems with it, but others do in this same thread. That was just a recommendation.
Now that you say it, I have some feedback for you guys regarding the internal Matroska splitter:
- If a MKV has subtitles, even if the default flag in mkvmerge is set to 'no' MPC will reproduce the first subtitle stream. Haali's splitter doesn't have this problem. In the following sample there are two subtitles, English and Spanish, both set to 'no'. Haali won't show any subs (like it should be), while internal MPC will show the English subs.
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=Y3PGQXPM
- If a MKV file has two or more audio tracks, internal MPC splitter will decode both at the same time. The above sample has two audio streams too, English and Spanish. English flag is set to 'no' and the Spanish one to 'yes'. Haali will play the Spanish track, while MPC will play both.
In short, that sample should be: Spanish audio + no subs.
But MPC plays: English+Spanish overlapped + English subs.
Also it'd be nice to add a bitrate graph, like in Haali's. Useful feature.

MPC-HC 708 with both internal filters: from 39% up to 52% CPU, out of sync
Can you see if both cores are almost equal used?
For me they are not. Using ffdshow do you have this issue?

@STaRGaZeR
Disable "Auto-load Subtitles" on the playback options and use the built in audio switcher to have only one audio track at once. That wont fix all of your problems though.
@rack04
Sample works fine will all renderers and I can save screenshots with them all as well, tested with EVR CP, VMR7/9 Renderless and Haali renderer and MPC HC rev710.

Enable the internal audio switcher, then it should play (and decode) only one audio track.
No it's not happening I'm using internal audio switcher and the two audio tracks are decoded both at the same time when using internal MPC splitter ! Disableing "Auto-load Subtitles" it's NOT helping either ! (when I use Haali's Spliter they are playing OK / separate, one or the other)
At the beginning it's playing only one audio track but when you try to switch to the second one the first one continue to play !
Here is a sample to test all this MKVTest (http://rapidshare.com/files/133912197/MKVTest.mkv.html) (one audio track it's AAC 2-channel and the other it's 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround Sound)

That's solved, but there is still the fact that it completely ignores the default flags, in both audio and subtitles.

You know that option is needed to have DXVA + subs, so it's not an option. Also with it disabled there are no subs at all, default or not. Haali's Splitter works perfect, all those are bugs in the internal splitter. Well I wouldn't call them bugs, but no implemented features. Oh and forget about linked files with the internal splitter. There is still a lot of work to do in this splitter to be at least on par with Haali's.

Strangest thing happened for me;
I installed Vista X86 SP1
PowerDVD8
MPHC 1.1.687
Everthing is working 100% including DXVA on Mpeg2 and H264 with Cyberlink filter.
Then I thought what the heck I'll update to version 1.1.710 all files played with DXVA hang after a few minutes?!?!?! (software decoding is working OK).
Trying to uninstall version 1.1.710 and reinstalling 1.1.687 doesn't do the trick.
Anyone experiencing the same problem?? I think I reinstall Vista

I have a strange problem. I can't get to connect the standalone MPC filter.
More precisely, i have a .ts h264, in graphedit if i do "Render file" it does connect properly
Haali->MCPDec->Video Render
But if i put out Video Render, in order to make it work with avisinth, it says "Doesnt have an output filter". Moreover i cant' get MPCDec to connect to FFDshow no matter what.
Revision is 684 standalone packet.
Some suggestions?
Thanks
