DebugView has only one line to say:
00000000 0.00000000 [1596] Loading modified build of detours library designed for MPC-HC player (http://sourceforge.net/projects/mpc-hc/)
Thank you, I'm willing to pursue this more. Anything you need.

Ok, I'll look at this a bit more then. The fix I did seemed obvious but no cigar then. It's not a debug build so the debugger won't work. And these kinds of errors have a tendency to disappear in a debug build since the memory is laid out in a different way. -A

@ pirlouy - nope... video frame is 60fps same like my display, if not sync is possible in EVR Sync, then how I get sync in EVR Custom :p
for EVR Sync I use the third option "Present at nearest vsync"
also I always use 4 EVR buffers (cause lower=better in DxVA or CUDA like I test some time ago) + Bicubic (-0.6 on PS2) + shaders (sharpen complex 2 + YU12 Chroma upsampling on PS3)
but I'm talking about this annoying glitches ;p
It also happens with bilinear with disabled shaders, Sync Offset set to 12ms, 17ms, 25ms or any other value didnt make any difference

Try reseting MPC-HC's settings by going to regedit, and deleting HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Gabest\Media Player Classic
Then run the latest SVN revision.
Also, why do you use this shader when you can set the "Output Range" under "right click" -> "Renderer Settings".

(film Tomorrow Never Dies)
with ffdshow

It would probably be a good idea, especially useful for non expert users, to add an option to clear the settings without messing with registry, because I noticed that there are several situations when clearing them (mysteriously) solves some strange issue.

@ ar-jar and other developers;
Earlier i reported a problem with not having subtitles on the sync renderer.
I want to report the problem is fixed in the most recent SVN i got from xvidvideo.
Also, the new sync renderer + full screen options are working perfectly. I've managed to get near perfect sync on 1080p24, with subtitles.
Great job all, super. And thanx goes out from me to all that has contributed to the development of these excellent improvements !

I need guru's advice to make working together Reclock and autochange display mode.
How best to get values of protected variables m_DetectedFrameTime and m_DetectedLock located in class CDX9AllocatorPresenter from MainFrm.cpp(CMainFrame::AutoChangeMonitorMode).
Of couse I can make this using AfxGetMyApp(), for example
Code from void CEVRAllocatorPresenter::MoveToScheduledList(IMFSample* pSample, bool _bSorted)
....
m_DetectedLock = false;
for (int i = 0; i < nAllowed; ++i)
{
if (BestVal == AllowedValues[i])
{
m_DetectedLock = true;
AfxGetMyApp()->mDetectedLock = m_DetectedLock; // new line
break;
}
}
if (BestVal != 0.0)
{
m_DetectedFrameRate = BestVal;
m_DetectedFrameTime = 1.0 / BestVal;
AfxGetMyApp()->mDetectedFrameTime = m_DetectedFrameTime; // new line
}
....
Code in void CMainFrame::AutoChangeMonitorMode()
....
if (AfxGetMyApp()->mDetectedLock == true) MediaFPS=AfxGetMyApp()->mDetectedFrameTime;
....
But I think this is not the best way.
I would vote for a new interface. I haven't been following your work in detail but it would be great if it was compatible also with EVR Sync and EVR Sync does not inherit from DX9AllocatorPresenter of various reasons. I'm planning to add a new i/f on the same level as ISubPicAllocatorPresenterImpl (I dare not touch that interface) that EVR Sync will inherit from. It will be used for instance for creating and resetting the DirectX device from the main frame windows tread. If you would like to add a method or two to this i/f, you're welcome to. Or you could create your own of course that EVR Sync (and DX9AllocatorPresenter) could implement. -Arto

If I enable MPC-HC internal MP4/MOV source filter I get audio but black screen without video.

As for Bluray and forced subtitles
I think the problem depends on the splitter, however, goes well that is best viewed with MPCHC but the film I want to see and understand.
In the case of the Bluray of Angels and Demons lose much of the initial dialogue in the laboratory of CERN, when they speak in French, it is depressing that should be used for this PDVD9 which plays the role admirably.
Just to understand these are the graph, PowerDVD9 Vs MPCHC reproducing Angels and Demons

Hi,
does the (experimental) support for BDA capturing, that was added recently, actually work?
I have DVB-T USB stick, which works just fine with Windows Media Player. I'd love to use it in MPC-HC, but it can't detect any channels.
Which might be because I don't really understand the Scan dialog (Shift-T). I know the frequencies of some channels in my region, but I don't know what to insert for the bandwidth. No matter what frequency range and what bw I specify, it won't find any channels.
Any ideas?

Yes, it does although I have some bugs with aspect ratio, DVXA and HD channels (see here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=1369406#post1369406) and here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=1369730#post1369730)).

Don't be, it's still not really usable at this time ... I think it's even more broken than a few rev ago, I can't get anything better than a jerky video output know and I have first to play with internal filters to get something by the way ...
I should probably do some bugs reports but I don't really know where to start ... Maybe the "no output at all with internal filters" bug should be handled first ?
I will read tetsuo55's "How to Report Issues" guide but if a dev has any special request, I would be happy to follow his instructions.
PS : I'm not sure of the usual way to deal with bugs related to a specific fonction of MPC-HC but maybe a new thread should be opened to make things simpler ?

Hi,
i'm quite new with MPCHC but it's great!
I want to ask if MPCHC is capable of upscaling DVD to 1080p like ffdshow or avisynth, like in this thread: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=922773
I've tried with ffdshow+avisynth script, upscaling a dvd to 1080 with Lanczos resampling algorithm + postprocessing with sharpening/denoising but is too heavy for my E8400. I think it will be great if MPCHC could upscale via GPU shaders.
And i've found a little problem with MPEG2 DXVA: if i use the DXVA version of MPEG2 (so the other one is unticked) the menu highlights and cursors are invisible:
http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/5056/snapshotdvd000020100213.th.jpg (http://img3.imageshack.us/i/snapshotdvd000020100213.jpg/)
But if MPEG2 and MPEG2 (DXVA) are enabled on the Menu the dvd menu is correct (the line under the first option is now visible):
http://img707.imageshack.us/img707/5056/snapshotdvd000020100213.th.jpg (http://img707.imageshack.us/i/snapshotdvd000020100213.jpg/)

I will read tetsuo55's "How to Report Issues" guide but if a dev has any special request, I would be happy to follow his instructions.
I've read the guide but I'm still quite unsure of what informations to provide. I can't provide samples since it's related to capture mode, I don't really know if a minidump could help ...
All I have is that in capture mode I've to disable the internal DVXA MPEG2 Decoder to have a video output whereas with a file recorded from DVB-T, I don't have to. It's not much, especially if devs don't own DVB card ...
I just have screenshots of the filters used in the different cases :
- capture mode with DVXA enabled (http://www.hostingpics.net/viewer.php?id=753687DVXA.gif)
- capture mode with DVXA disabled (http://www.hostingpics.net/viewer.php?id=651778no_DVXA.gif)
- playing a file (recorded from DVB-T) with DVXA enabled (http://www.hostingpics.net/viewer.php?id=638093DVXA_file.gif)
(Filters used in capture mode seem pretty strange so it could probably help. For me it looks like there is two video decoders ... :eek:)
Is it worth it to submit a new bug report with those informations ?

Trailer shows first frame only while audio plays fine with rev1460 and higher. If you seek in the trailer, the video appears and plays from there on correctly. Pressing stop and play helps too. Any revision before rev1460 works without any issues.
This is probably due to the Bento4-library update which broke a couple of other MP4/MOV files too. It was fixed (partially?) in rev1500.
Can somebody confirm this?

@fastplayer: I can confirm the problem but it seems it's a combination of the internal H.264 software decoder with the internal MP4 splitter.
1) Using the internal mp4 splitter and DivX H.264 decoder or ffdshow everything is fine.
2) Using the Haali splitter and the internal H.264 software decoder everything is fine.
3) Using the internal mp4 splitter and the internal H.264 software decoder I have the same problem as you do.

Don't know if it could help but I've no problem at all with this sample. I have tested all possible combinations and it works everytime. :o
Maybe it's related to Windows version ? I use Windows XP.
Edit : In fact, it seems random. I've reproduced too.

fastplayer, XhmikosR: I tried to play the file with different settings in MPC-HC, nor any problems with the file did not arise.

@alexins: There's definitely a problem but maybe it's random as Underground78 says. Anyway, fastplayer, open a ticket in the tracker and post a sample there too.

Regression: on rev newer than 1607 (a guess it happens recently but this is likely the cause), even if I have Auto-zoom in Playback Settings page disabled, after the first video the next file will be autozoomed to 100% scale. It's kind of distracting if I'm watching video and doing something else at the same time. Please check.
Someone, please take a look at this issue.

Thanks for confirming, guys!
I'm using the internal MP4 splitter and it doesn't matter whether I use the internal H.264 decoder or ffdshow's one.
Oh and by the way, this morning the video didn't play, now it does?! I haven't changed one single setting in MPC or ffdshow...

I have an issue relating to the playback of certain m2ts on MPC-HC. In order to get full HD audio on DTSHD-MA audio tracks I rip and decode the track to flac. I then play the m2ts on my optical drive and use the dub option to load the flac file and switch to its stream to play simultaneously with the video (see Tutorial (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=1370596#post1370596)). This works exceptionally well for and saves me a lot of processing time and space since I don’t have to demux and/or remux the video file to my hard drive. This issue only occurs with certain videos encoded with VC 1.
My settings are as follows;
I let MPC-HC (svn 1650) decode VC 1 (DXVA and FFmpeg). I am also using Madflac 1.8 to decode flac audio as well as using MPC-HC MPEG internal splitter, with reclock’s wasapi mode for my audio renderer.
The problem is when I playback these video I get occasional pauses, jerkiness and sound loss before it resumes amidst smooth playback with audio in-sync.
I am using forceware 195.22 drivers and tested with others. I played m2ts without loading the flac audio and even reverted to using the Directsound renderer. I tried ffdshow to decode the VC 1 stream but that runs to slow (15fps) for some strange reason even when set to libavcodec and wmv9 (occurs on different revisions also). Finally, I have tried Haalis Media Splitter but it only plays the audio track. I find this odd that it does not occur with AVC/h264 video
The problem occurs in the following films I have – Coraline, Pitch Black, The Chronicles of Riddick and Children of Men. I have also observed that these films are VC 1 encoded and use PIP - when you check Angles in MPC-HC there are three streams to choose from – two streams are 480p. Is that related somehow to the hitches?
Please help me find out whether this is a bug with VC 1 playback or something related to my computer settings.
I can't present images at the moment as i am at work but will do so is ncessesary. I hope to get a solution before i get home :D
Cheers

is there any chance the mpc dxva filter could be adapted to work with live streams?

I have finally opened a ticket (http://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/mpc-hc/ticket/281) for this, I hope it will be useful.
-----------------
About ticket #77 (http://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/mpc-hc/ticket/77) "[MPEG4] mod16 resolution not supported with all renderers", should we read "mod16 resolution" or "non mod16 resolution" ? And is [MPEG4] MPEG4 ASP or H264 or both ?
I've another bug to report which may be the same than this one so I want to be sure ...
