@Aleksoid Can you guys make the "Menu Bar" go directly from "Hide Menu" to "Show Caption&Menu" without going through all the other steps : "Hide Menu" -> "Frame Only" -> "Hide Borders" -> "Show Caption&Menu" like all the other bars are behaving = JUST Show or Hide the bar ?
Even better can you make this behavior = JUST "Sow" or "Hide" for all the current options = "Frame" and "Borders" and "Menu" ?

Please DO NOT hijack this thread with your MPC-BE stuff.
This is NOT thread for MPC-BE but for MPC-HC! ...
Again you're violating GPL license with removal of access to your source. NOT good.
@Aleksoid I've expected that your level of seriousness is a bit more respectable. Thank you for all you've done in past.

Nothing, I'm just thanking you for all the stuff that you DID do good in past.
Like everyone said, not just once, if it wasn't for you, v0lt and XhmikosR, MPC-HC would be dead.
It's just said that you've decided to part your way and start a fork. But you think that's the best for you. Well, good luck to you and your crew sir.
And wow, how convenient, source is available again, while it wasn't when I've checked it this morning.
And coming to public, with all the drama trying to MPC-HC be bad guys is just hilarious. Well, it takes two for proper dance ;)
And let's just stick to the topic ... which is MPC-HC and not mpc-be.

I have a small problem with selecting automatically the right subtitles.
My .mkv file has 2 English subtitles, I would like to choose the second but no matter what I tried it always chooses the first which is the default one.
I tried eng, eng2, etc. but none worked.
This is a screenshot of the subtitles selection in case it may help:

I'm almost 100% sure there isn't any solution to your problem, except to stop watching releases from often mediocre rip groups that think people prefer to watch their anime dubbed in english, so they put the complete subs in second place.

I wonder... am I the only one who finds Custom EVR completely unusable when showing on a secondary monitor (a 42" led tv; 23.976Hz)?
I find myself unable to use MPC-HC w/o madVR. :/
Now, for me it's great and all... But for users w/ low-end cards this must suck.
The frame timing code ("playback smoothness") in Custom EVR needs a rewrite IMHO.

It works reasonably well on my intel laptop. But for some of the more resource heavy videos I need to switch to single display mode on the TV to prevent framedrops.

Have you already tried disabling Aero, and/or enabling "Wait for flushes," and/or disabling EVR-CP's main "VSync" option?

Although I agree with you, I think it's nice that they give the option to choose the language. That said I was referring to the subtitles, not the audio.

Are there any plans to merge changes from xy-vsfilter project? The performance gains are significant.
I've been poking the xy-vsfilter folk, and they they welcome the idea of the code getting re-used in the current "mainline" of VSFilter, and are ready to communicate on the MPC-HC IRC channel with the developers. The general concencus until now, though, seems to be that the difference in the beginnings of both projects (xy-vsfilter is based on Guliverkli2 code, with useful changes merged out of the MPC-HC repo as well), the rather large amount of changes, and the fact that MPC-HC has the internal subtitle renderer in the mix as well, lead to various difficulties, and thus they would like people from the MPC-HC project come forward as well and either rebase the changes needed for MPC-HC onto xy-vsfilter, or merge the rather large amount of changes into MPC-HC's current VSFilter source code base. How this will actually go forward depends on the cross-project communication, which hasn't even begun yet properly :) .
You can see me poking the xy-vsfilter fellows here (http://www.cccp-project.net/forums/index.php?topic=5976.msg40877#msg40877).

The ISR should keep working as long as the functionality of the interfaces in \src\SubPic\*.* remains the same. Can you poke xy about that? Porting any changes from MPC-HC in that folder to xy-vsfilter should simplify a future merge.
The only other important change missing in xy-vsfilter is x64 support.
Most of the remaining changes in MPC-HC's VSFilter are cosmetic. Like astyle code formatting. A bunch of compiler warning fixes. All stuff that could be redone if necessary after a merge/replace. There might be a couple of bug fixes that haven't been ported to xy-vsfilter yet. But making a list of those shouldn't be much of a problem when going through the SVN history. I could do that if needed.

28th April 2012, 20:40
subtitles would be better rendered to a second pin, so DXVA can work. I prototyped a sub filter which works like this. Most of the colour space conversion code and other crazy optimisations can be ignored. You don't even need to update the subs every frame, only when the sub pic changes. Much more efficient.
nevcairiel
28th April 2012, 21:42
DXVA works just fine with the ISR. Even allows full RGBA subtitles, no limiting yourself to AI44 or requiring a custom mixer for better format support on the substream pins.

29th April 2012, 13:08
I do understand that there might be a new thread for MPC-BE. But for the time being I will ask my question here because I don't think it's good for me to open the new thread when I'm not an active dev. :)
So, dear Aleksoid1978, I've been advertising your website among the French community for years. Now I don't know what to advertise anymore.
Chronologically we have:
* MPC-BE (https://sourceforge.net/projects/mpcbe/) (Black Edition) is a fork from MPC-HC (https://sourceforge.net/projects/mpc-hc/) (Home Cinema) originally based on a GUI mod from september 2010 from bobdynlan.
* latest build on xvidvideo.ru (http://www.xvidvideo.ru/media-player-classic-home-cinema-x86-x64/) is rev 4360 from 2012-04-13
* latest build on xhmikosr.1f0.de (http://xhmikosr.1f0.de/mpc-hc/) is rev 4537 from 2012-04-28
* Aleksoid1978, you made a release on rapidshare based on rev 79 from the fork on 2012-04-28
Question:
Alexins, will you keep all releases up-to-date on xvidvideo.ru for both editions (MPC-HC and MPC-BE)?

MPC-BE is a fork from MPC-HC originally being a mod meaning "Black Edition" from september 2010 from bobdynlan.
Question :
Aleksoid1978, will you keep all releases up-to-date on xvidvideo.ru ?Aleksoid has SVN access, his loss of access was a misunderstanding.

Good day.
For inquiries concerning your file .mpeg I found an incompatibility between the latest release of ffdshow and MPCHC. (all these software are 64-bit)
To be more precise, ffdshow is used only as post-processing (upscaling etc ...) by disabling all internal codecs, using the ones built into MPCHC.
By performing a regression test, it was found that up to the release svn1906 (05/21/2010) works regularly with the latest release of ffdshow (with internal codec disabled) with the files .mpeg, the next relase are crashing.
If I can confirm this and if you can find a solution.
Sincerely thank you

Any opinion on this test build (http://www.mediafire.com/file/u2mu22iy04r58gg/mpc-hc_#2218_v6.7z)? It uses a masked edit for entering the timecode in the Go To dialog.
Do you like the masked edit knowing you won't be able anymore to enter something like "300.000" to jump to 300s?
Edit: link updated, the new build will display the timecode as "mm:ss.ms" when the duration is less than 1h and will show an error message when trying to jump after the end of the file.
