@madshi can you make your renderer 64-bit compatible ?
Yes, I can. But am I going to? Probably at some time, but not this week and not next week and probably not the week after that, either. Still working out the basic video playback kinks in the 32bit version, so it's too early for me to worry about 64bit right now...

@all devs,
Beliyaal have added a new project to compile libavcodec using GCC directly from Visual Studio. All you need is to declare environment variables on your computer :
- MING32 : path to your MingW x32 root folder
- MING64 : path to your MingW x64 root folder
- MSYS : necessary if you MSys folder is different from MingW
- YASM : path to Yasm assemblor
For the x64 build, my "buildffmpeg.sh" is not working anymore since (but anyway Visual Studio do the job). I will try to update my script for installation of MingW64 library when I'll have a moment...
BTW Casimir, it seems that the ghostlines fix from build 380 is not in the x64 versions?
https://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=146301
:confused:
My trick to remove ghost lines is in the x64 build too, but maybe it didn't works... Didn't noticed this on my machine...

Thank you very much!!!
I just consider the madVR is included in new MPC.
Aha. Sorry!
I now using it.
But... I found the madVR doesn't support for subtitles???
And MPC now is screening out the VSFilter.
Faint...

I'm not too happy with the Beliyaal branch merge... At least until the bugs are ironed out...
I tried Beliyaal builds before but I always had some problems like stuttering, tearing, strange lines appearing with bicubic resizer (with EVR custom renderer).

Hello everyone,
I would like to ask for you help in confirming that the bugs in the list are all fixed.
These are all DXVA bugs, so i need DXVA users with different hardware to confirm.
Please use the following settings when confirming:
Internal splitters + internal decoders
Haali splitters + internal decoders.
(and any variation in the bug reports)
here is the link (13 bugs)
https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?limit=100&func=&group_id=170561&atid=854651&assignee=&status=1&category=&artgroup=&keyword=&submitter=&artifact_id=&limitz=100&assignee=&status=1&category=1165515&artgroup=&submitter=&keyword=&artifact_id=&submit=Filter&limitz=100&mass_category=&mass_priority=&mass_resolution=&mass_assignee=&mass_artgroup=&mass_status=&mass_cannedresponse=
Please use 1048 or newer when testing (some of these bugs probably require 1053)

Should there be a new stable release build from before 1048 merge? The last 908 official stable release is very old and some of the fixes and improvements since then can be helpful for those users who don't keep up with the SVN builds.
Also the copyright in the Help, About should be updated to say 2002-2009.

OK, I think I have some sort of bug related to CoreAVC and disabling disable desktop compostiton.
First off, disable desktop composition is giving me bad tearing at the beginning of playback and after seeking. Once it's disabled, I get a glitch in AVC mkvs where the file plays back OK for a random period of time (random between files, usually the same spot in each file) then the file speeds up to about as fast as it will go with 100% CPU useage, the audio stops and the playback controls stop functioning. Sometimes it doesn't happen at all but it usually does depending on what splitter is used.
It seems related to CoreAVC. Switching to the internal decoder seems to fix it but I'm still testing. It happens much more frequently with haali's splitter over the internal one but the internal one does exhibit the problem sometimes. I'm still testing this too.
I'm using the latest build (obviously). I'm using EVR-CP on Vista home basic with a Geforce 9600GT.

I now change the codes to rebuild an MPC svn for not screening out VSFilter.dll.
But there is another problem.
The subtitles can't be loaded when clips start playing.
The subtitles must be closed and opend once, it just can be displayed.

I have question about the MPC Options change.
I play a video then stop it (click on Stop button). Then I go in the Options panel, change the renderer for example. I play the video and the renderer has not been changed.
To apply the change after I have loaded a movie, I have first to close MPC then open it.
When I want to make some tests with different renderers or internal filters it's not very handy.
Is there any option to change this behavior?
Thanks

Force the rebuild of the graph by opening a different movie.
:) Thanks but it's still not "simple" as I have to do something (close MPC or play a different movie) to force the rebuild of the graph.
Maybe this mean there is nothing implemented to automatically rebuild of the graph after a change is detected.
I'm surprised nobody already ask for this, it's really useful when you want to test new builds with a specific test file.

From the beliyaal thread as this is the proper place:
I get crash on SVN when changing resolution during playback either with automatic change from mpc options (full screen resolution) or by changing resolution manually.
With nov28 build resolution change is OK, with Beliyaal's build 25 it crashes either way, same with 1056 SVN build.
I played around a bit and the crash happens with VRM9 renderless or EVR custom presenter renderes. Others are fine. I guess I'll use Haali for now.
Just the rundown of setup:
XP SP3 + ATI 3850 Cat 9.3 using RGB 4:4:4 limited chroma
Display is DLP tv with 720p native panel, using 688 resolution for windows desktop.
Usual renderer setup is VRM9 +VRM9 mix + D3D surface + reclock
Codec is either PDVD7 h264 DXVA decoder or xvid decoder.
Directvobsub for subs, AC3 filter for audio.

The mpciconlib.dll file is way much bigger than the "official" release, I suspect it was compiled with Debug build.
All ok with size of mpciconlib.dll, it's about 15mb and include fullcolor/Vista compatible (256x256) icon.
Official release don't include 256x256, 128x128 icons and because size of icon library small.
P.S. - sorry for bad English :)

Since the merge with Beliyaal branch, there's a slight delay after double click on a file (after the initial window is opened) and the moment it starts playing.
It's not extreme, but it's starting to get annoying (almost).
It happens with all filetypes.
GL
Edit: not all, with *.m4v, *.mov, *.avs (simple script); NOT with *.mpg. Maybe it is the splitter(s)? The configuration (ini file) hasn't changed at all.
Edit again (dammit) : I forgot I clicked on one menu item "use optimal settings", it added the following items to the .ini file:
VMRAlternateVSync=1
VMRVSyncOffset=0
VMRVSyncAccurate2=1
VMRFullscreenGUISupport=0
VMRVSync=1

A) Love that they made an x64 version
B) It actually uses UAC for certain settings such as the file format associations so with any luck that locks them down to MPC which is something I've been having issues with so yay.
Good stuff.

Can you try to start mpc in a command line with the option "mplayerc.exe /minidump" and upload the ".dmp" file generated after crash.

To apply the change after I have loaded a movie, I have first to close MPC then open it.
The handiest way I know to apply changes is to reopen the same video with File / Recent Files (in Player "Keep history of recent opened files" must be checked).
If the options "Remember ..." in Miscellaneous are checked, the video restart from the same point and everything is quite fast.
