Is there a way to prevent it from exiting fullscreen mode so that I can use my secondary monitor

Well the way I would recommend is to download MPC-HC recent build and use that, I can't think of any reason to use MPC Classic with so many more features, updates, bug fixes with MPC-HC?

You can definitely do as you're requesting, lots of us MPC-HC users use dual head systems and it works beautifully.

I certainly don't want to put words in anyone's mouth, but I should report that with FFdshow, ReClock and EVR-Synch (present at nearest, 30ms target) for 23.976 material on a 24Hz (true) HDTV, I get excellent results.

I've tested exit from fullscreen and I see jast one problem.
1. "launch in fullscreen" is checked in settings.
2. MPC-HC is closed.
3. Double click on video file
4. MPC-HC launchs in fullscreen and plays video.
5. Exit from fullscreen. Window has native video size. Here all is ok.
6. Switch to fullscreen.
7. Call context menu -> File -> Quick Open File (or Ctrl+Q). MPC-HC plays new video in fullscreen.
8. Exit from fullscreen. Problem is here. Window has not native size of current video. There are black bars left and right or top and bottom.
Is it your problem? I know where and why this is happening. I try to fix it.
Try 1539 or earlier, you will be surprised.

I promised screenshots
I do not use FFdshow, ReClock and EVR-Synch and have this

-It will be easy for anyone to create and submit a translation
-It will be easy for developers to change placement of items

EVR Sync with Reclock and the "present at nearest vsync" option seem to work fine. I get at the most one glitch over a full-length movie, mostly none. I don't think Reclock agrees well with the other two sync modes. -A

"Sync Offset" didnt work in "Statistic" view

Interesting, I haven't even seen that Sync offset value. It's not the same as my sync offset probably but something that has to do with EVR Custom. I'll check it out.

and how about moving graph on right-down site of the screen in EVR-Sync like in EVR-CA for better readability

Well, that's a matter of taste perhaps. I actually moved it away from there... we'll see.

Jong uses Reclock together with EVR Sync. Is it good idea?
Do they not conflict?I'm a bit of an odd-ball.

I use Reclock with Reclock vsync correction and I have ALL the sync renderer vsync options OFF. To do this you must use D3D mode and turn off D3D Fullscreen GUI support (I think that is disabled for sync renderer anyway now) else Reclock vsync correction does not work.

So I'm not using the fancy sync options of sync renderer at all! I use sync renderer because I love the OSD - it is the only one that really tells you what is going on and which you can have absolute confidence in - and because I trust ar-jar totally. It is great having a properly supported renderer.

Reclock vsync correction gives me total control of the sync position. Absolutely no drops after the first 30secs or so, when it is "pulling presentation into line" so maybe 1/3rd of the time, has to pull presentation through vsync, whilst also being able to adjust fps. 24p ->25p for display @50Hz, 29.97 -> 30fps @60Hz (which Reclock automatically switches to when playing Blu-ray extras in PDVD) and even 29.97 -> 30fps for display @50Hz which gives a 2:1:2 cadence, not a whole lot worse than 24p@60Hz and which I have to use in MPC-HC at the moment (Reclock auto-refresh rate switches frequently crash MPC-HC, but not PDVD). Sadly sync renderer still cannot compete when you need to significantly change fps.

Reclcok vsync correction also works with PDVD 7 & 8 (not tried 9) for Blu-ray playback, which does not use D3D but seems to triple buffer, which gives the same effect. Can't use it with PDVD 7 & 8 for DVD playback though. That is like trying to use Reclcok vsync correction with MPC-HC EVR, non-D3D. Reclock vsync cannot adjust the point of presenation because the point it is measuring is fixed by "normal" EVR double buffering.

But sync renderer with "present at nearest" also works with Reclock, without Reclock vsync correction. But if you are changing fps it only cleans up judder to single frames at regular intervals instead of multiples. Not IMO as good as Reclock vsync, provided you can put up with D3D mode and do not mind occasional bursts of judder in the forst 30 secs at the start or after a seek or pause.

@X-Dron: it's not exactly the same problem, as I just launch files with double click in explorer, but the conclusion is the same, and as you said, it works well in build 1539 !

I've just tried Overlay Mixer with Reclock, and it worked well; I don't have statistics like in EVR Sync, but I did not notice tearing nor glitches (except the ones due to video).

Builds befor 1540 had this issue:

2) Another niggle, with all of the options in "Fullscreen" enabled, coming out of fullscreen mode leaves me with a teeny weeny window. I have set "Zoom" to Auto Fit, but it gets disabled the next time I load a file, leaving me again with tiny window when I come out of fullscreen mode.

And it was really serious bug.
Bug description:
1. "launch in fullscreen" is checked in settings.
2. MPC-HC is closed.
3. Double click on video file in explorer
4. MPC-HC launches in fullscreen and plays video.
5. Exit from fullscreen. The program tries to create a window with the parameters specified in variable m_lastWindowRect. This variable receives its value on switching from window to full-screen form. But the switching was not! MPC-HC is started directly on fullscreen. m_lastWindowRect has incorrect values.

Now in this case calls function ZoomVideoWindow(). It create window with the parameters specified in zoom settings. (Menu -> Zoom). My settings in Zoom menu is "100%". After call ZoomVideoWindow() I have window with native size of current content.
I think it is right.

Was

r = m_lastWindowRect;
......

SetWindowPos(NULL, r.left, r.top, r.Width(), r.Height(), SWP_NOZORDER|SWP_NOSENDCHANGING /*SWP_FRAMECHANGED*/);

Now

r = m_lastWindowRect;
......
if (m_fFirstFSAfterLaunchOnFS) //App started in Fullscreen
{
ZoomVideoWindow();
m_fFirstFSAfterLaunchOnFS = false;
}
else
{
SetWindowPos(NULL, r.left, r.top, r.Width(), r.Height(), SWP_NOZORDER|SWP_NOSENDCHANGING /*SWP_FRAMECHANGED*/);
}

EVR-Sync graph view under stats should be only in fullscreen mode, on window mode should be like on EVR-CA or simply making all graph visible by auto moving it upper to see it all ;p

Also why only red line in drawn in mode2 in "Display Stats" in EVR-Sync, Im asking cause inn EVR-CA this 2 lines are drawn ;)

I'm having problems with hanging video using EVR CP and Sync renderer. Audio sometimes continues, but video hangs so hard that I need to do a hard reset of Windows to regain control of my PC. This happens with various builds I tested including v1249. How can I find out what is causing this? What log info can I find with respect to the hanging video?

WinXP+SP3, Nvidia 7600GT (several drivers, all with the same problem), Haali splitter, AC3filter, CoreAVC or MS VC1 decoder.

Any version. 1.8.6.2 at the moment.

For me, nothing earlier than 1.8.6.1 because of:

Fix: ReClock could hang, if the Wasapi buffer ran empty or overflowed.

...which I experienced a lot when multitasking.

1.7b4 is ancient history. As with almost all software there may be a few things to do, but the latest Slysoft build is the way to go.

For those guys working on fullscreen options, I beg of you to improve this, to read the frame rate of the content, not from the media info, but from whatever is input from external filters.

Until then, it is not usable if anything like de-interlacing is used, or if frame rate changes are introduced by external filters. I don't think it should be difficult as this frame rate is already used and displayed by the renderers obviously.

Hi there!

I am happy that the annoying "double-picture"- AVI-bug, and the DXVA / EVR-problems seems to be fixed in Build 1597, but now there ist a "new problem" :devil: with the build v1.3.1613 from today...

When i use the "MPEG-PS/TS/PVA" Source-Filter [and i do so], then now i cant seek in MPEG- Videos [MPG, VOB...], the picture freezes.
When i uncheck the MPEG- Input-Filter, then it's okay [but i want to use it, because many MPEGs dont work fine without it].

Second one: AND the player now always need a very long time to start [every kind of video, with or without this filter] :mad:

Any Idea? New bug?

I see that too. Not freezing, but very big slowdown and takes very long time (never?) to recover. MPEG1 files of VCD characteristics.

Also longer startup time (may be subjective).

Both things as opposed to Build 1597 (nothing else changed).

Yes that i mean - no really freezing, but a long seeking like the video has no timecode, or like to seek in WMV with VLC :devil:
And its true that the player ALWAYS need a long time to start, even when i DONT open a video, any time.

I am still having this issue posted here: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=1358329#post1358329

I've tested up to 1613.

The issue is that I get no video unless Video Frame -> Normal is selected. Using this setting results in a zoomed in picture that isn't positioned correctly in the frame (the right and bottom of the image is cut off) in windowed or fullscreen.

This may be driver dependent to some degree. I reverted to Nvidia 190.62 and with build 1534 everything works as expected which didn't with build 196.20 (the latest) which had the same issue.

Lastly, in more recent builds I have been unable to get external splitters to load - MPC-HC will only load the Mpeg2 Gabest filter. I use the "external filters" option for all filter configuration.

I don't mind using the MPC-HC splitter, but while bitstreaming TrueHD with ffdshow I get lots of lip sync and loss of audio issues that don't occur when I use the Arcsoft Demuxer Splitter (no issues with DTS-HD MA).

I have a big problem and I don't understand.
1)Until now I used mpc-hc 1.1.604 to see video, i use shader 16-255 to 0-255 to correct grey and black colors.
TOday, i must use the last version because subtitles in a mkv video are not displayed with 1.1.604. But the problem is that if I unchecked shader 16-255 to 0-255, My video is just as if this shader was enabled. If i turn on this shader , it's just as if I have applied twice this shader.
Is-it normal or not?

I use evr-custom.

Way to spam a thread with ILLEGAL CONTENT. I find it especially funny that there is a window reading "BITTORRENT" in all of those screenshots.

Its only a screenshot. And Torrent is not illegal. But huge Screenshots are ;)

@Spec-Chum

I discovered today that the EVR Sync renderer also has my resizing issue so I went through SyncRenderer.cpp and found that it was making the same decision as the CDX9AllocatorPresenter::Paint is on line 2359. SyncRenderer.cpp: #1683:

if(rSrcVid.Size() != rDstVid.Size())
...

clearly for me the rDesVid value is not being updated correctly when the new video frame size is changed when using any of the P&N features.

The original code clearly resized when rSrcVid == RDstVid

if((iDX9Resizer == 0 || iDX9Resizer == 1 || rSrcVid.Size() == rDstVid.Size() || FAILED(hr)))
if(iDX9Resizer == 0 || iDX9Resizer == 1)
...

so was that a bug? Maybe not, because with the original code in place, all works well. Is it expected/required that rDstVid is not getting updated on Pan&Scan changes? Should it?

MPC-HC crashes on this video (http://largeassets.myspacecdn.com/creative/hd/copout/654546546565.flv) using the internal flv splitter. Windows XP SP3. Tried revisions 1489, 1613, 1623.

Regression: on rev newer than 1607 (a guess it happens recently but this is likely the cause), even if I have Auto-zoom in Playback Settings page disabled, after the first video the next file will be autozoomed to 100% scale. It's kind of distracting if I'm watching video and doing something else at the same time. Please check.

No crashes here with the internal flv splitter and decoders with r1623.

MPC-HC dose not display some external subtitles automaticly (ie .srt subtitle files) unless the playing vedio is AVC/H264 encoded or Manually recheck the subtitle menu. Is this A bug?

I don't think so. Check your subtitles filename.

I don't think so. Check your subtitles filename.

I can confirm that the subtitle file has been loaded sucessussfully, but the subtitle didn't display yet. It's not filename issue.
