is that normal with direct3d enabled, if i want to disable subtitles by a hotkey, that mpc-hc starts a new window with the player and behind that window run the movie again? and it's the same if i want to go during the movie into the menu by right click on mouse and i have "d3d fullscreen gui support" activated.

Known issue, but I can not solve it now.
App saves monitor mode at start and revertes it on exit. Where is it written, I do not know. Function SetDispMode() in this case is not called. :( I tried to trace where this happens. Traces lead to the VS-library.
I asked for help from Alexoid, but he has no time now.
From what I see, if I close MPC-HC by task manager, monitor mode reverts at what it were before to launch MPC-HC.
So it's not a function which puts back old monitor mode, but the function you use which is just temporary. Personally it's what I want !

Is this a bug or do i have to change a different option:
Background: Win7 32bit, Nvidia 9600GT 196.21whql (everything set in standard or use videoplayer values) mpc-hc 1544(1540 same problem, dont since which version)
Kind of movie doesn't matter. happens with or without dxva and in dall kinds of codecs.
When i use evr-custom and evr.sync with bilinear resizer PS2.0 the video frame size isn't correct. i can only see a piece of the frame when video size is set to normal size but not all of the frame (seem to be double size zoom or something).
In every other setting it seemed to be zoom by 1000% or something. I only see that the fullscreen changes color but no details. sound is ok every time. Happens also in D3D fullscreen mode.
Everything is also ok with resizers without PS2.0.
tried to change every option i found in nvidiadriver settings and in mpc-hc.
BTW: the shortcut CTRL-J is still missing in render settings-menu

Russian say: "Это не баг, это фича"("This is not a bug, it's a feature") :):)
But I think this is a bug.
If you want temporary monitor modes while the MPC-HC is running, then use "Apply default monitor mode on fullscreen exit" and exit from fullscreen before exit from program.
And I thank you. With your help, I found the issue root. :) The base word is "temporary".
Fix will be sent to Aleksoid.

The only way to solve this problem is to switch to WMR9 or downgrade to version 1489.

Install latest MPC-HC. Open Options and go to Fullscreen page under Playback. You should see "Autochange fullscreen monitor mode" option group. These options should be self-explanatory.
If you still don't get it, these options basically change your display resolution depends on your content fps called Hz here.

What is brilliant with MPC-HC is that it's an all-in-one solution, nothing else to install and it works straight out of the box on any NT based Windows version.
Please don't change that.

There already is an output pin, namely the one in your error that fails to connect ;)
While Haali converts the TWOS audio to PCM by itself, the MP4/MOV splitter from MPC plays dumb and treats the format like any other one. That means you need a decoder for TWOS. ffdshow can decode that when you enable support for uncompressed audio. However, it is unfortunately a bit buggy, so expect issues.
Ideally MPC's splitter should also convert this uncompressed variant to plain PCM. Submit a feature request. Then maybe Casimir666 can fix it.

For the new fullscreen autochange feature, it'd be useful to differentiate between 23.976 and 24.000 hz. Many displays support both refresh rates (even more if you count Powerstrip users), and, while rare, there are sources out there at a hard 24.000 fps.

bluray .sup subtitles can already be rendered. Make sure you're using the internal MPEG TS splitter.
It's not 100% though, but will work for 98% of movies. Sometimes there's dual subs onscreen and only one will be rendered. I saw that limitation first in the Freedom blurays.

For some formats (MPEG2, H.264) in Windows 7 you can use Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder as an external filter. You still have to add it to MPC-HC, but you don't have to install it because it is included in Win7.
In my set I don't have the split image with this decoder.

Since some weeks I see this picture on some files.
This seems to be an error on the videodecoder output. This happens not on all files. This file is an 1920x1080 MKV that is not DXVA-compliant and is runing on a Radeon video card. I have three computers and the problem is the same on all of them.

@ar-jar: I direct this report at you as I think that rev 1557 is the cause of this regression. Basically when I use rev1557 32bit available on xvidvideo.ru, when the player loses its direct3d surface and reinitialize, it forgets to do that for the subtitle renderer so I will be unable to see subtitle after a UAC prompt unless I disable then enable the internal sub renderer. I use EVR Sync.
If you need more information, please say so.
