Thanks for the 64 bit x264 support.

I was wondering if you ever planned on supporting x264 qpfiles to insert keyframes on the exact chapter?

It helps out with the long gop's at times when the chapter point isn't at a hard scene change.

Credit to prettyboy85712, as he said go to Ripbot264.ini & look for //RipBot264 will check if AviSynth, FFDshow and Haali Media Spliter are installed and will also check account type
CheckRequiredSoftware=1 then it to 0 & save it. it will work now.

Gj as usual.

v1.13.0
Added: support for x264 64bit (up to 10% faster encoding)

If i use 64 bit OS i must download x264 64 bit and replace the x264 that is in the folder or what ?

Added: custom resize profile with locked aspect ratio
Added: language combobox for audio stream

Will check this out :)

Added: FFDshow DV decoder will be automatically enabled if necessary

Some of my friends had problems with this, good update.

Fixed: Bug which always resets VC-1 decoder to libavcodec. Default decoder is now wmv9 (Reason: Supports interlaced material)

I do not use interlaced material, will this cause problems ?

Cheers

@juGGaKNot
If you download another 64 bit x264 you'd replace x264_x64.exe, x264.exe is 32 bit.
wmv9 won't cause any problems with non-interlaced content it will just be a little faster encode then libavcodec

@bigggt
ffdshow MT isn't necessary but it will speed up the encode if you have multiple cores but regular ffdshow will get the job done
for 64 bit x264 encoding all you need is 'Usex264x64=1' in RipBot264.ini and x264_x64.exe in the tools/x264 directory

On my pc I have the 10-1-2009,can I just use this one? Which one do you have installed Atak?
Mark

I did an encode using this version and it appears to work fine if you bypass the software check.

Overall a pretty good speed boost on my core i7. I just encoded the Duchess(Blu-ray) to BD5 in just a little over 4hrs.

great program! definately the best compression:quality ratio i've seen for mp4!

few questions. is it possible to batch a group of files? (*.mov > *.mp4 H.264).

I am trying to batch a bunch of tutorials that I have on DVD. one of the mov files I am talking about is here (please look at #2. Creating Illustrator Documents > "Libraries and content"): Link (http://anonym.to/?http://movielibrary.lynda.com/html/modPage.asp?ID=718)

its generally very static screens, but i would love to keep the sharp quality, the only thing I've noticed is that (using the HD blueray default setting), the light grays come out pure white, bleaching out some of the lighter tones. what can I change to improve this? the only tweak i made was to the audio to 96khz from 128.

also, sometimes for the audio, i have to copy/paste in the location of the mov file for it to see the audio (as *sometimes* it is totally blank and doesn't show any mov files in the source file folder)

thanks for any help.

OT: do you guys recommend a better format for these kind of tutorial files?

not one helpful reply guys?

@OH_NO_ITS_FRODO
When you mean 'batch a group of files' is that combining all files into one file?
If so and they are all the same framerate/resolution you can do that with an avisynth script (.avs) that looks like:
1=directshowsource("file1.mov")
2=directshowsource("file2.mov")
3=directshowsource("file3.mov")
1+2+3

Where file# are the files you want to 'combine' then input this into ripbot if there's audio with the clips you might have some sync issues though

If they aren't the same resolution you can add .LanczosResize(<resolution>) to each of the file lines
If they aren't the same framerate you can add .AssumeFPS(<framerate>) to each file line (this will for sure cause audio sync issues)

hey thanks for the reply turbojet!

will keep that info handy as i often come across a file that was split into 2 parts.

with batch I mean, single separate (*.mov) files in. single separate (*.mp4) files out. but batched from a list queue using the same settings (like the way autogk works, if you're familiar with it)

I'm trying to put some of my downloads on a dvd but some are 5gb+ size ISO's (official Lynda, Noesis, Softimage, etc releases). hence trying to use the mp4 compression. I've used "Easy RealMedia Producer" in the past for the same purpose (transcoded to *.rmvb) which worked great. but looking to do the same with mp4 now.

I'm a n00bie when it comes to mp4/H.264

Thanks for the new version but there is a bug. It thinks I am using Vista as it asks to download a font. I don't want to.

I have a question about sup support. The log saids it won't be visible when using 720p. I have been manually muxing the 720p video and ac3 audio with a separately sup subtitle at 1080p and they are visible.

I selected the english subtitle from a BD and it hasn't muxed it in the output.

I also had the same problem with it ending straight away. I think I will use carry on using version 1.12 as that works better for me.

Ignore the bit about subs. I didn't notice the new sup extension in add subtitles.

Sometimes the COPY STREAM option for Audio is unavailable to me. I'll select the video element, and BLU-RAY DISC for output, then my .ac3 track which is usually the disc original e.g. 640Kbps 6 channel, but despite that I've selected Blu-ray as the output option RipBot won't give me COPY STREAM as an option--I'll get instead 2ch Aften in a few bitrates e.g. 192 and 256 etc.

I say "comes & goes" because sometimes it works, but sometimes it doesn't. Has anyone else seen this? It's as if MediaInfo is mis-reading my .ac3 track somehow. If I choose MKV output I get the COPY STREAM option, but not when I click BLU-RAY. :confused:

BTW it has happened both with the latest 1.13 but also the previous 1.12. Heck now I went back to 1.11.5 and old 29-March Haali and still see the problem...

Do I need to uninstall the older version of ripbot264 first before installing the new one,or can I just install and it will update the files it needs to?

It happens the same to me when I try to recode a captured .ts file into mkv it runs well if I don't touch anything but if I want to deinterlace and/or resize or realocate the final mkv it quickly says that the job is finished.

I hope it will help to resolve the problem.

Change ;

And software will work.

Also many saved preferences ( saved in RipBot264.ini ) do not show - such as profile, desired bitrate and output path. This is using XP pro SP3. Seems like this version has many incomptiblities with Xp - will stick with 1.12.0 until fixed).

After shutting off the ver Check to get passed the Haali Media Splitter issue... got a font install for Vista and Windows 7 with a reboot. I'm running Win XP

Now after choosing the file to encode, I get this error. LINK (http://i467.photobucket.com/albums/rr37/fishman0919/errornobmp.png)

I selected the english subtitle from a BD and it hasn't muxed it in the output.

I also had the same problem with it ending straight away. I think I will use carry on using version 1.12 as that works better for me.

edit.
Ignore the bit about subs. I didn't notice the new sup extension in add subtitles.

I get the same error, Dark Knight Blu ray, i made a sample using tsmuxer, using ac3 audio, Vista 32bit, q6600, it also told me haali was not installed, to fix, downloaded haali from

http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Haali_Matroska_Splitter.htm

then it told me it had it installed, even though the details on version was exactly the same.

It seems to work by removing --nal-hrd

Thank you very much ! :thanks:

Where do you remove this?
