I too have started getting "mp4box.exe has stopped working". Unfortunately I have not had the time to examine the output files (if any are there). The settings I use are just CQ=22 or 20 (depending on the output I want) and set my audio (always 5.1 for me).
Has anyone else received the MP4BOX.EXE error?
I've been using this software for quite some time now and love it. Thanks again Atak! :thanks:
Yea, I get no output files after this error, I've tried using a few of the CQ settings but unfortunately this makes the the whole process take even longer up to 6-7 hours

Would really appreciate some help ...
Have a new GT460 card and dgdecnv license
How do I get Ripbot to use these to speed up the whole process?
I promise you I have spent a lot of time trying myself and searching this forum
Thx
PS: Without dgdecnv, I'm getting around 19 fps whilst encoding (BluRay rips) and the demuxing seems slow and in no way fully utilizes my 6 core CPU

demuxing seems slow and in no way fully utilizes my 6 core CPU
demuxing is limited by hdd speed, hence the low CPU usage

Yes.
MP4Box had some known bug with files over a size limit. Thought it may have to do with the file size as in your second attemp you use a higher bitrate, hence a bigger file.

Well you must be right, It must be some sort of bug. Maybe a fix for this in the next version? I would really like to be able to utilize the full bitrate from the input file to the final file. Anyway I guess I will have to settle for -3000 bitrate vids(this still looks amazing)
Great work Atak

Many thx for that - I now know about demuxing limitations.
Would really like to know how to get Ripbot to use DGdecNV as I believe this will significantly speed up the encoding

Would really like to know how to get Ripbot to use DGdecNV
Demux with DGIndex & have it create an AVS script (it has a template function) ....
Feed DGIndex generated AVS script into Ripbot264, select the demuxed audio track for audio muxing ...
You will need to adjust the DGIndex AVS template to include the function that you want performed with Avisynth ...

Thanks, I will try it out. I've tried using GOTSent, XenonMKV and all that sort of stuff but to be honest, if i can get RipBot264 to work with full bitrate I won't be going back to any of them, as this has the best looking GUI, best settings and is so simple to use.

Please,
The RipBot v1.16.4 not recognize the audio on some containers MKV with AC3 audio when I select the output MP4 or MKV.
When he recognizes the AC3 audio from a MKV, the synchronization does not work well while converting to AAC in a container of MP4.
I use o Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
Excellent software. Congratulations!
Solved by making the DEMUX with tsMuxeR, from the MKV file.
Thanks!

smokerdalejash,
I gave it a try and it produced an error. However I think I have the solution to your problem.
Download this file:
http://cid-23d230fef2480b61.skydrive.live.com/self.aspx/pub/misc/mp4box-20091004.7z
Then go in Ripbot264/Tools rename the mp4box folder to mp4box_old or something, extract this file and rename its folder to mp4box.
It should now create over 4GB Mp4 files correctly.
If you haven't delete the temp files from your previous project, just open a command line and copy paste this line from your log:
C:\>"C:\Users\Callum\Desktop\RipBot264\tools\mp4box\mp4box.exe" -tmp "C:\temp\RipBot264temp" -add "C:\temp\RipBot264temp\video.264":name="title02" -fps 25 -add "C:\temp\RipBot264temp\audio.aac":lang=eng -mpeg4 -chap "C:\temp\RipBot264temp\job1\chapters.txt" -new "C:\Users\Callum\Desktop\title02.mp4"
and it should create the mp4 file just fine without re-encoding.

For images use http://imageshack.us/ or similar to host images. imageshack will host the image so you can past it on the forum w/o having to wait for approval. Just make sure you don't post any over sized images as it takes forever for some users to load large images. (See Rule 7 (http://forum.doom9.org/forum-rules.htm))
Thanks afonic didn't see your post lol. good source though for image hosting.

As for this you might want to try re-downloading the 7z archive and re-extracting it as it appears that the exe in question has been messed up.

and few questions regarding a 1080p encode :
- is this normal ?? 18 Mbps and subme 7
or
Encoding settings : cabac=1 / ref=3 / deblock=1:0:0 / analyse=0x3:0x133 / me=umh /
subme=7 / psy=1 / psy_rd=1.00:0.00 / mixed_ref=1 / me_range=16 / chroma_me=1 / trellis=1 /
8x8dct=1 / cqm=0 / deadzone=21,11 / fast_pskip=1 / chroma_qp_offset=-2 / threads=6 /
sliced_threads=0 / nr=0 /....
many people say that " If CPU is not good enough, you can set subme 9 and me umh " and better is 10 ;-)
- also many people say that must be used a Ref. Frames of min 4-5 and not 3 as is usually used..just for watching on different media players like egreat, popcornhour, a.s.o.
What is your oppinion about these problems ???

Sounds about right. This movie has simple, slow paced scenes, so the bitrate stays low most of the time.

Suggestion
Occurred while opening a VOB file...
1) Properties > Audio Delay (ms) = Change sequence of 50, 100, 150,... for 0, 1, 2, 3,... 999
Not allowed to do the exact adjustment of synchronization.
2) Video length in milliseconds
The length remains in decimal, with the rounding of time.
About Delay:
Constant audio: The length of the audio is changed.
Variable audio (untouchable): The length of the video is changed.
As the RipBot working with these two situations of delay?
12089 - 11968 = 121 delay
Currently I can not adjust the delay of 121. The closest value allowed is 100 or 150

I can usually rip a 1080p Blu-ray in about 8 hours. I know that the Avatar Collector's Edition is 3 hours long but it's taking more than 24 hours to do the rip, with the same high profile and quality target setting.
Is there something special about that Blu-ray that's causing it to encode very slowly?
Okay so finally I found out the issue. My motherboard was somehow killing my CPU power. Was causing problems in games as well. Replaced it and things are speedy again.
But has anyone gotten the normal English forced subtitles to work? When I burn them in, it burns at the wrong time, a few minutes off. When I try to make them selectable, It screws up and just keeps the first line that shows up on there forever.
pacaveli211
22nd February 2011, 07:01
subtitles have to be the most annoying thing ever
especially when you start getting into the forced tracks.
what is your target? you could just extract and keep the sup if you have something that will support them
or manually use something like suprip if you can't get them working properly in ripbot
I actually have an .ssa file I made for avatar. I used a papyrus font so it looks fairly close to the original subs
you're welcome to check it out / use it if you'd like: http://hotfile.com/dl/87910066/91c158f/avatar2.ssa
fyi avatar is the current winner for taking the most encode time compared to other stuff I've done.
so regardless of the issue you had...avatar often will take substantially longer

A difference of durations is not a delay. It is possible that an audio stream is shorter/longer than a video stream. Their "granularities" are different. Accept it.

a difference in durations CAN be a delay. however it's fairly common that the audio stream will be a bit shorter. it usually cuts off before the video actually does

Now I understand.

Hi guys, this is my problem:
I want to hardsub a mkv file (I already know how to do it) but when I open the file in RipBot the audio duration is different from the video
http://i56.tinypic.com/2vvvmro.jpg
What can I do to fix it?
Thank you all
Select MKV at the bottom, it opens up other options in the audio drop down.
I'm a rookie at this, but that bugged me a couple times until i realized I had the wrong option tagged.

In Properties > Denoise >
Entering in:
- Do not denoise
- Film
- Anime
I always have to select "Do not denoise"
By selecting "Film", the "Preview Script" is too slow, and perhaps the encoding.
Someone could explain why this slowness?

did you consider that maybe it's the extra load on the cpu to perform the denoise that's causing the lag?...
or just the general script processing itself
it's not gonna change the framerate or anything like that
you could always test encode a small section if you're worried

I'll test one small section yes.

subtitles have to be the most annoying thing ever
especially when you start getting into the forced tracks.
what is your target? you could just extract and keep the sup if you have something that will support them
or manually use something like suprip if you can't get them working properly in ripbot
That's working great. I can name it the same as the video and my player loads it in automatically. Thanks.

Anyone else using AVG Free getting told that Ripbot264.exe is dangerous malware?
It comes up fine when you scan it from the file menu, but when you run it, it sets AVG off and it wants to quarantine Ripbot264.exe, MP4BOX.exe & SetACL_x64.exe. (I think it is actually SetACL_x64.exe that sets it off).
Don't get me wrong, I have been a Ripbot264 for years now, so I don't think Atak Snajpera is up to anything shifty. I think that the latest AVG update has made it a bit too sensitive.

Did anybody look into this problem?
I've looked through the thread and can't see any replies relating to it.
Since posting I've tried a couple more files. I've found one's from BBC HD that don't produce an error have AC3, whilst ITV HD files have just 2 channel sound.
I've uploaded three files to MediaFire (http://www.mediafire.com/?tw22qndm45o5m).
The BBC HD file gives an error as shown below
The BBC HD with AC3 works fine
The ITV HD file only shows in Ripbot as having 2 channel sound
Here's the error I get with the BBC HD file
DirectShowSource: couldn't open file E:\temp\RipBot264temp\job10\BBC HD.ts:
The system cannot find the file specified.
(E:\temp\RipBot264temp\job10\getinfo.avs, line 2)
PS. I've uploaded the first 50mb section of each split, as sections after that did not play.

smokerdalejash,
I gave it a try and it produced an error. However I think I have the solution to your problem.
Download this file:
http://cid-23d230fef2480b61.skydrive.live.com/self.aspx/pub/misc/mp4box-20091004.7z
Then go in Ripbot264/Tools rename the mp4box folder to mp4box_old or something, extract this file and rename its folder to mp4box.
It should now create over 4GB Mp4 files correctly.
If you haven't delete the temp files from your previous project, just open a command line and copy paste this line from your log:
and it should create the mp4 file just fine without re-encoding.
Thanks, the new Mp4Box works great.
P.S. You can also use Mp4Box GUI to recover
