i think you're right. i just looked in the ripbot temp folder and there is a file named "9_subtitles_English_1080.sup"

i'm ganna load it in where you said, but last question. if i'm converting to 720p, does ripbot know to downconvert the subtitles too so everything fits where it should on the screen, or is that something i'd have to do with an external program?

I'm having the same issue. My bluray structure looks exactly like that and not sure what could be the issue.

I would assume so, but I don't know for sure. if you ever have any problems a quick remux could solve the issue, tsmuxer has subtitle size (resolution) options

well, it's converting again now, takes my laptop like 8-10 hours to finish, so i'll post later with the results.

Subtitles don't work. Tried two more times, both times English subtitles are now in the file, but when you select them nothing shows on the screen. The only time it's worked is when I added the sub file into the mkv after conversion with mkvmerge, but they look terrible, they look cropped and hard to read.

are they still in sup/pgs? the player you're using might not be able to play them
or are they in SRT? it might be the resolution setting we talked about, you could try adjusting that

i let ripbot import with "no audio" then use txmuxer to extract the DTS audio, and load it manually into ripbot, works great. make sure you check "downconvert DTS-HD to DTS" in tsmuxer.

yeah vlc will play sup stuff, at least in an m2ts, I haven't tried in an MKV.

depending on what you're doing you'll need to select the 'copy stream' option or do some manual muxing with tsmuxer prior or after encoding. if you need to lock size for BD9 or something you'll want to demux the core and then select that file for your audio track. if you want to keep the HD track you'll need to mux it in after the encode

@Atak_Snajpera - first off, let me just say thank you so much for writing this program - i love it and have been using it for about 2 years now. one issue i have though, (apologies if this has been mentioned but i cant go through 421 pages) is that i have been stuck using version 1.14.2 for a while now because every version released after that doesn't seem to work for me. Specifically what happens is that when I select a stream from a blu ray, it demuxes it and then once it hits 100%, it says "Gathering Informations" and just hangs there. I have literally let it sit there for over an hour on more than one occasion and nothing happens. The same thing happens in 1.14.2 when I select FLAC for audio also. I am using Win 7 x86 Ultimate. Please let me know how I can resolve this issue and if you need more info or want me to run any tests for you, just ask. Thanks so much for your help!

Was wondering if I am doing something wrong on my old pc a quad core I thought I would see multiple ffdshow's. Now with the I7 quad core I only see 1. Did I not install something right or is this normal?

I assume you mean in the system tray:
technically there should only ever be one while encoding (unless you're watching a video at the same time).
however, after you hit the 2nd pass the icon for the first will hang there (at least it does on my pc)
if you mouse over it, it'll disappear

Having a fresh XP install and using the latest RIPBOT, Ffdshow , AviSynth, Haali media splitter encoding stops at a certain point depending on if I use CQ or 2-pass encoding. I noticed that these problems occur when encoding an already with BD-rebuilder edited BD with HD-audio. I assume it's a problem with eac3to or Ffdshow. Any ideas?

These are 2 possibilities where a BD has 2 parts , both main parts.

How can I disable the function that chose the "main" file to be encoded ??? Can I ??? In my exemples both files are main ( part I and part II )
As per actual settings , Ripbot chose one file to be encoded , and for the second one I must copy to another location and to encode from there.
If I try to encode from original location , Ripbot will chose all the time the file that it considered to be MAIN....
This issue worries me because , as you can see from my exemples , the files are huge enough to be copied and occupy relatively more space so it can not be copied to another location every time..

cuz the playlist will reference to them both
if not....just demux/remux. an extra step yeah....but it'll solve the problem

It would be nice to add multiple files of the same format (mov from my Panasonic TZ-5) at once.
(Perhaps dragn drop via folder)
Also it would be nice to have an option to store converted files in the same folder as source file.

So I can convert a lot of my Video files very fast to mkv an play it on my Dreambox 500HD.

Is this possible?

I was thinkin there was a playlist choice and m2ts choice (there isn't). I just checked with Prince of Persia which is in like 587924234 different files. ripbot scans the bluray and then gives you a playlist choice. so as long as you're choosing the right playlist it should be demuxing the whole movie. so I'm not sure what you're having trouble with. are you trying to encode something other than the main movie? if you're confused as to which playlist to choose use bdinfo

make sure you're fully removing everything. esp FFDshow
then reboot and do reinstalls. consider trying another version of FFDshow if you still have trouble. it seems to usually be the culprit for getting stuck at that step.

So that would mean I'd have to manually calculate the pixel dimensions for each source, crop and resize combination. Gets a bit tedious for hundreds of videos. Was hoping there was an easy way to automate it - such as "force output to 1,33:1 AR at 272 pixels high."

it does it automatically. when you choose an m2ts from within the BD structure it auto scans and gives you this screen:

and from there you must select the proper playlist for the movie
some blurays will have multiple cuts (theatrical vs directors) there will be a playlist that coincides for each

Not a question or request - just making an observation...

If you have multiple fullstops in the file name, these are all removed and replaced with spaces.
I assume this relates to the automation for the --title part of the muxfiles.cmd ???
Just means if you want to have movie.year.mkv for example you have to edit the muxfiles.cmd file manually before you click start (so that title has with spaces, and filename has . as entered)

Recently, I tried to re-encode Sound Stage: Seal (sample (http://www.mediafire.com/?d6ospjsookshl39)) to AVCHD. It's a 1080i/29.97 source file and I would like to keep it like that. I didn't specify decimate

However, the final result is 1080p/29.97 (output file (http://www.mediafire.com/?d1za766t9jfjisb)) even though I didn't specify interlace or decimate. As I recalled, older versions for RipBot264 didn't do this.

I've tried and checked 3 BDs , all of them having playlist , but none is shown in that screen as in your exemple....
When I clicked on " ADD " directed me to BDMV / STREAM / m2ts file.... Here all the time I chose the biggest one file , which is the main one....
How to do to appear that Playlist windows activated ??
There are necessary suplimentary setting to do ??

something I have noticed after encoding quite a few of my movies..............

The normalize setting seems to randomly go between 100% and off. I just loaded in an .m2ts file and after it demuxed the streams the normalize went to off. I then shut the program down and did it again. Same movie, but this time the normalize stayed at 100%. Weird.

Can I tell which of my movies have the normalize on? is there some kind of marker within the audio stream which will tell me which of my movies has it on or off?

maybe your bluray structure is incorrect or some of your playlist files are missing?
did you try scanning it with BDinfo?
maybe ripbot is just having trouble with that disc/bluray for some reason?

if you can't get ripbot to pull the playlist up it's only going to encode whichever m2ts you've chosen
so....you'll want to just manually join / demux / remux the movie and then encode it

recently appeared on the marked new type of BDs - 3D format .iso. Ripbot ,of course ,cannot encode them.
what soft/s are necessary to be able to see internal files ( m2ts) and what soft can split or to extract them???
I have a XP SP3 , Daemon Tools Pro but these are not enough....those who have installed Win 7 can easy process these files...
any idea or help ???
