Feature Request
More options around audio profiles.
Audio profiles as text files, and users can create/edit/customise as they wish, similar to Encoder profiles for Video.
Or alternatively an option to specify XCOPY, CBR or VBR, and (if not XCOPY) then Audio Encoder from drop down, and then lastly bitrate another drop down of say 32, 48, 64, 128, 256, 384, 448, 640, 1536.
Clearly would need to take into account source audio type etc

For the main video work I put through RipBot264, I only need basic audio. At present I edit the job1_EncodeAudio.cmd to adjust down from say 65536 to 49152.
But it means I have to also go and adjust the x264 parameters with 2-pass to take this into account and increase video bitrate accordingly.

Of course, this is just my own need - no idea how many others would find this useful...
And I can work around this, so just asking on the chance this is easy-ish to accomplish (it's probably not at all, and I'm totally naive to think it can be easily done)

Wow! 64 kbps vs 48 kbps. You save only 2 KB/s !!! It does not make sense at all for me.

When I run this an error shows saying "Failed to get data for 'isWhitelist'.

I've reinstalled matroska splitter, ffdshow and avisynth. The first time I saw this error was with the 1.15.0 version. Version 1.14.0 has worked fine before but it also shows the error when run 1.14.0 now.

After clicking Okay on the error the RipBot window opens. I can't add any videos because it get's stuck at the "Please Wait... Gathering information..." stage. It just sits there while the RipBot process uses no CPU.

Anybody have any idea what the deal is with this?

I've searched the forum and the thread. Someone posted a bunch of registry entries and there was one isWhitelist entry for ffdshow. I've checked my registry and the registry key is there.

I'd like to be able to use this program again.

Why do you need that? DTS icon + number of channels is not enough?

I didn't realize the arcs next to the DTS icon represented number of channels.

I've found that DVDFab rips my BDs much faster than MakeMKV for some reason. And RipBot264 can demux the LPCM from the m2ts file. Problem solved.

I've got an mkv that ripbot created but somehow it used the audio from another job. I don't want to have to reencode the video. Any suggestions on how I can just rip the DTS track off the BD so I can remux it with the video in the MKV?

Try to remux your BD movie with TSmuxer without downconverting DTS audio. Import remuxed file again in ripbot264.

its a bug with the arcsoft decoder and 6.1 dtshd. set eac3to to use the sonic decoder and it processed the stream correctly. sucks that arcsoft cant handle it right. oh well hopefully this helps others with the same problem.

Trying to convert "Sleepy Hollow" Blu-Ray and it does not give me the option for FLAC conversion. All my other movies do. Anyone experienced this before? Thanks!

FLAC is only available for lossless audio! I checked your movie (http://www.blu-raystats.com/Stats/Stats.php) and it has plain DTS audio not DTS-MA!

Sub support for DVD was very useful, I manually extract subs from DVDs with VSRIP. The old AutoMKV uses VSRIP, too (I used AutoMKV before I heard about RIPBOT)

Is there any way to get ripbot264 to encode a dvr-ms file? When I open the file it says "Please wait... Gathering information..." but it never finishes.

It would be great to avoid having to go through an extra step to remux this into another container.

Dump CoreAVC 1.9.x !

I don't have CoreAVC software installed on my PC. Nothing has changed on my PC other than changing from 1.14.6 to 1.15.0.
I've tried a newer ffdshow.exe file and re-installing codecs, but the problem remains. Any other suggestions?

i'm trying to convert a blu-ray rip of Oldboy to mkv. it is a korean movie and i need subtitles. when i tell it to "build in picture" and start the conversion, it says conversion is complete after 1 second of initializing. if i reset the subtitle option, the conversion begins normally. the subtitle file i select is the one found in the job temp folder.

because ripbot asks for 32bit versions. Most GUI's still works on 32 bit decoders/encoders/splitters. Sometimes a 64 bit encoder but still a 32bit splitter and decoder.

Never use codec packs. Uninstall and then download/install each app separately. You're asking for problems otherwise.

i'm having issues with ripbot and blu-ray files. It's only recently though that it's happening. It's not related to 32bit or 64bit differences (i just finished trying that, it first started on win7 x64 and now on win7 x32)

When i load either the elementary h264 stream, or one that's inside an mkv container, i get an avisynth error "DirectShow Source: Timeout waiting for graph to start.
M:\temp\Ripbot264temp\job1\getinfo.avs, line 2"

It's also not related to just one movie. It started doing this on "The Fifth Element" last friday (64bit) and when i did a fresh install of 32bit (like only gpu driver, ffdshow, firefox, haali, java, avisynth) it worked fine. Yesterday i finished setting up the pc and tried loading "Land of the Lost" (in both mkv, then .264) it gave me the avisynth error. I tried earlier version,s same issue. I tried reinstalling avisynth, same issue. I'm pulling my hair out right now trying to figure out what's going wrong. I have coreAVC 2.0 installed (wasn't an issue before) and i have ffdshow rev3222 clsid variant (i'm thinking that might be the issue, but when windows was fresh install, it worked?).

Can you please help me? I love ripbot 264, but if i can't get it to work, i'm not sure what i'll do!

EDIT: i read the first page, downgraded my Haali (although .264 files inside .mkv container shouldn't be an issue, also haali changed something, the FouCC so that it can work around windows 7 stuff) and now all works just fine!

i discovered the problem. my java installation was corrupt which was preventing BDsup2sub from doing it's job.

Personnaly i can suggest you to try theses things.

Uninstall all programs (avisynth, ffdshow, matroska). Reboot after this. Make a spot check if you don't have another directshow all-in-one application are installed in your system (like k-lite codecs pack, or any codec packages).

After download and/or install this:

- Latest DirectX Files ( http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/resultsForProduct.aspx?displaylang=en&productID=9C954C37-1ED1-4846-8A7D-85FC422D1388 )
- Install ffdshow CLSID rev. (try mine are working right now rev.3176) ( http://sourceforge.net/projects/ffdshow-tryout/files/SVN%20builds%20by%20clsid/generic%20builds/ffdshow_rev3176_20100102_clsid.exe/download )
- Install matroska haali (available on the 1rst page of this thread) submited by Atak.
- Install avisynth 2.5.8 stable rev. ( http://sourceforge.net/projects/avisynth2/files/AviSynth%202.5/AviSynth%202.5.8/Avisynth_258.exe/download )

Try with this and let us know if it is working.

I have experienced a trouble like you but with another program (HDConvertToX) wich i was using a ffdshow rev of CLSID, but i have re-installed ffdshow but rev of XXL. I never has or read something that said i was need to use ffdshow XXL with HDConvertToX. I was solved that trouble but for ripbot264, atak have recommand CLSID rev. (Not XXL or ICL-10).

I'm re-encoding a DVD to PS3 format, and the program stops within a few seconds at "muxing." I already encoded the DVD once with Ripbot264, but the AR was wrong.

I first thought it was using the old temp files and failed because of that, but it stops even after deleting the temp folder for the job.

Any ideas?

edit: encoding any other file works fine

To save time, while RipBot is encoding, I'm getting other jobs ready by ripping and demuxing them so when I add them ripbot doesn't have to demux.

I used eac3to to demux an m2ts file into a .h264 and .flac file (from PCM) and selected the .264 file. After a while ripbot came back with:

AVCSource: Could not open one of the input files.
(d:\Temp\RipBot264temp\job1\getinfo.avs, line 2)

So it is not possible to submit a separate video and audio file for encoding and muxing by Ripbot264? There's a browse button on the audio filename in the second screen so I thought I would be able to submit a video file, then browse to my audio file? No possible?

Hi,

i have a Intel Core-2-Duo-Prozessor T7200 and when i encode an Bluray with RipBot the ETA is about 60hrs with 0,94 fps !!

I use the "[High 4.0] Bluray, Console" Profile with no modifications from v.1.15

Encoding the same Bluray with HDConvertToX shows me an ETA of 15hr using the x264 normal preset with crf of 22.

I am using Vists Home Premium x86.

Why is x264 encoding in RipBot so slow?

Hi,

Recently switched to Windows 7. I've just installed the latest RipBot and I'm getting an error after the the source file has been demuxed. After demuxing, it says 'Please wait, gathering information' for about 5 minutes, then an error comes up saying 'DirectShowSource : Timeout waiting for graph to start.
(D:\temp\RipBot264temp\job1\getinfo.avs, line 2)'. I've uninstalled/reinstalled ffdshow, avisynth and haali to no avail. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?

Yes I've read the first post. All it says in the first post is the latest Haali will not work with VC1 .m2ts files. However the source file is already remuxed into MKV, and the video codec is AVC not VC1. So therefore I assumed this advice was not applicable here.

I have the latest Haali, vc1 files inside m2ts will just not play. like if I try to play an m2ts with MPC (that's setup to use haali instead of the default codec) it will play just the audio and not the video.
I can still process vc1/m2ts fine through ripbot264. it just demuxes the vc1 into an mkv anyways (I assume that's what it's always done as ripbot doesn't recognize raw vc1)
so the only thing the new haali will prevent you from doing is playin vc1 inside m2ts
