delay is constant?

Hard to tell, it seems to start off in sync but looses it quickly. I tried a bunch of delay settings and then previewed. I couldn't get it to stay in sync.

The original file is fine, btw.

I had the same issue. Wouldn't show up and no players could display it even though it appeared to be added when viewing the encoded video file with mediainfo. When trying to add the sub with build in picture, ripbot would just hang after the encoding was finished, freezing on "muxing".

yeah, I never had it freeze on me but I never was able to find a good program to build in picture.

If your resizing to 720 from 1080 i have noticed that you need to select the the subs last after you have selected the resize. If you select the subs before you select the resize the subs remain at 1080 and wont be converted to 720. This may be your problem gr1mmj0w btw Atak you may want to look into this problem could be a bug.

this might be your problem! Ps3 does not show subs from .m2ts container! You must burn whole avchd structure on dvd.

I use Another EAC3toGui for forced subtitles, it burns them into the video. Makes things much easier when streaming to the PS3.

oh wow, I didn't think of that :), when I played them on computer (the whole AVCHD folder through vlc) it wouldn't acknowledge the subs either but if they need to be on disc then that could very well be the issue.

When I open it, the "Browse(...)" button gray-out and the "Abort" button become click-able,
but it just stuck, nothing appear in temp folder

Actually, this 264 came from an MKV.
I just extract it out cause I don't want to skip the index creating step.

I loaded RipBot on the another computer wtih same folder and DGAVCDec ran without problem
so I'm just wondering what could stop it from running.

Indexing is only required if you want frame accurate access. When you just convert whole file (linear access) you don't need indexing!

I'm just used to use index to find out if the video is corrupted due to some download failures.
It did help me sometimes, plus it takes only few more secs, so I always run in this way ;)

I'm also having issues with VC1 encodes. Whenever I do a VC1 movie, the process finishes in about 1-2 minutes with no file produced. AVC encoded movies work fine. I do not get any errors though, it just stops encoding.

I converted The Dark Knight without a problem with Ripbot (8GB mkv) but this was done when teh movie first came out on Blu Ray so it would have been an older version of RipBot

Yep I tried again and it crashed x264_x86.exe. It's odd because Ripbot has been working fine on other movies.

As I stated early, I created an .mkv backup (as that was the best method that time) of my ORIGINAL dvd about a good year ago, I bought the DVD for, as far as I remember €6.95 if you want as much details as possible. I sold it on Yezzz! (a Belgium second held site for selling and buying second hand stuff).

I created an .mkv because that was then the best format regarding quality/size-wise.

I'll try to find an AnyDVD log file, hopefully it wasn't deleted since I altered quite a lot on my XP partition since then.

May I ask you a question neuron, don't take this as an attack, but why is the trend here to help and support countless touls that are aimed at creating an .MKV from a DVD, but once someone is willing to use that .mkv as an imput all hell breaks loose, and the pirate fingers are all around.

I now don't have the original anymore, and I want to watch the movie on my PS3, but this ones doesn't support .mkv (If I only knew that, I perhaps wouldn't have bought a PS3 in the first place, since I only use it for media, not for it's (crap) games)

May I ask you this serious request : PLEASE! BAN every front-end creators that allows users to create an .mkv file from a DVD source. At least then your own soul will be treated.

Ripped a Region "A" Disk. TSmuxer shows it as 1080i and Ripbot's "Media Info" as 29.97 fps. Its quite obvious watching the M2TS File that the Movie is interlaced, and needs to be deinterlaced.

I'm certain I did not accidentally change the FPS anywhere, as that's is, for all Intents and Purposes, rather pointless.

.ts or .m2ts file Loaded into Ripbot (without making any changes to the "Output Speed" or changing any "Default Settings" within the "Properties" Button), it shows as follows:

FPS: 1387.35
Frames: 12,391,495
Duration: 2:28:51:773

There is no Way it's 1387.35 FPS, nor 12 Million plus Frames. The only Thing correct here is the Duration of the Movie. So I go ahead and start the 2-Pass encode, and it tells me it takes 143 Hours to finish the first Pass.

So I abort, and try the 23.976 FPS Setting, hoping this might correct things, since most rips are 23.97 FPS.

And now it reads as follows:

FPS: 23.976
Frames: 12,391,495
Duration: 143:33:49:123

In other words, the Movie would be 143 Hours long when done.

Ripbot's "Deinterlaced" Function is greyed out, so obviously either Ripbot or the h264 Encoder cannot deal with it.

This is the first and only time I have ever run into this, and only with this particular Title.

Your average Movie has about 150,000 Frames, not 12 Million, so I figure it must be accounting for the interlaced picture portions, maybe not?

Nevertheless, what is the Solution for this? Where is the Hitch that prevents x264 encoding, preferably in under 300 Hours? With well over 250 encodings using Ripbot, I have never even run into even 1 single Hick-up with it, but this one has left me utterly dumbfounded.

I have a bit of a problem im trying to backup a bluray with ripbot.I know how to use ripbot but this is the first time i get an error when i load the file into ripbot. After it says analyzing there is no playlist no audio and no subs. When i click ok i get this DirectShowSource:
couldn't open fileL:\temp\ripbot264temp\job1\video1.mkv:the system cannot find the file specified.

i have a huge problem it started after i re did 2 pc's i wil setup a files to srt click start and it will immidately tell me the file is finished converting. this has only happened once i re did 2 computer and i can figure out what im doing differently that is causing this to happen

50MB (00001.ts_0) uploaded, done with DGSplit. Shows the first Half Minute Warsaw City Overview 1939 in Black & White as Background Lead-in Intro for the Main Movie Feature filmed in 2001.

I loaded that very first split Part into Ripbot and it reads as follows:

FPS: 1387.5
Frames: 44301
Duration: 0:0:31.932

Again, the "Duration" is correct, "FPS" & "Frames" are off.

The other Parts, even if renamed to .ts ... will not load into Ripbot without "avs" Error Messages.

I also copied a 50MB Chunk from the beginning of the Movie with TSRemux, and loaded that into Ripbot as well. All Infos were 100% correct. It appears DGSplit & TSRemux do not function the same Way when extracting a Portion. I sent up per your Request the DGSplit Portion.

However, larger than 200 MB Chunks extracted with TSRemux also show the Errors as above.

I also just tested this Movie by dropping it into "ConvertXtoDVD 3.51". Did the Job in the usual Time, burned the DVD-R, plays perfectly on my Home DVD Player.

"TMPGEnc 4.0 Express" correctly shows 267,685 Frames, but hangs after 2 Minutes of encoding to BDVM. Pretty much the same happens when encoding to DivX.

In "ConvertXtoBD" (or whatever that Front End is called), also lists the Movie as having more than 12 Million Frames, detecting it primarily as a "Telecine" Composition.

ok sorry never mind i installed the specific 3013 revision of ffdshow that comes in 32/64 bit revisions the never ones dont work and they keep the video playing when you close WMP so there are some issues stick with the clisd 3013 build until and updated one is required for RipBot264. also if your need any other codecs like divX and XviD install them after FFDshow. otherewise there will be problems with rip bot

You can try using BDSup2Sub to convert blu subtitles to dvd subtitles. Having the idx/sub file you can convert them to whatever you want with another tool.

Followed the Instructs to a "T" ... 3 Times.

Ensured Path to "TIVTC.dll" is correct.

No Command Conflicts exist within any of the Lines of the \RipBot264temp\job1\*.avs Files.

Within 1 Second of hitting the "Start" Bottom, I get almost instant Feedback that "All Jobs are finished".

I check the video.264 File, its Zero-Byte.

I noticed, that depite the Changes to the Script File, it still reads:

Duration: 2:28:51:773

... in Ripbot's Edit Job Window after the "Done" Button was hit.

Update:

Used ---> audio.1 - Log.txt to get the Frame Count, which is off by 3 Frames when compared to the "FPS*Duration" Math. Also removed the "Comma" from the Frame Value.

Still not working. I then updated the job1.ini ...

... to reflect the new accurate Values and its now encoding.

Much slower, but down to 4 Hours on Pass 1 which I guess can only be expected when De-interlacing/Decimating.

I'll let the Movie encode, will report back on Results.

Same. Use "Subrip" and make UTF-8 SRTs for Bluray.

Rip the *.sup from the Bluray too, then load it into Subrip.

You can try using BDSup2Sub to convert blu subtitles to dvd subtitles.
Wonder why they'd even think of doing that, since the DVD Sub Time Line is rarely, if ever the same as the Bluray Subtitle Track, even if you can convert Formats.

Check it out for yourself. Go to Subscene.com, download a DVD SRT and use it on a Bluray Rip. It won't match. You could use an SRT Editor such as 'Jubler' to "re-sync", but your Offsets would often be in Terms of Minutes, not just a Second or 2. You could spend Days re-lining up 1,800 Dialog Items to get them reasonably well dead on. And now and then a 30 Second Segment will be found on the Bluray that was substituted for another Clip on the DVD with more Dialog Entries, and you'd be renumbering the Works top to Bottom.

You actually need to do it once to know what I am talking about.

I suggest to just download your Subs for either your DVD or BD-Rip and save yourself a few Years of your Life. You can crack open the SRT Sub in Notepad, copy the contents into MS Word, spell-check, and make corrections to your Subs. Finding better than 200 Errors is not out of the ordinary, but then making your own Subs if you can't spell either won't make it any easier.

i have converted sub to srt because ripbot didnt like the .sub file that was in the mkv. I used subresync in vobsub to do this.

I have a bit of a problem im trying to backup a bluray with ripbot.I know how to use ripbot but this is the first time i get an error when i load the file into ripbot. After it says analyzing there is no playlist no audio and no subs. When i click ok i get this DirectShowSource:
couldn't open fileL:\temp\ripbot264temp\job1\video1.mkv:the system cannot find the file specified.

Do i have some off settings or something?Can someone help?

WHAT IS THIS???? DID I SAY TO USE commas???
Update:

Used ---> audio.1 - Log.txt to get the Frame Count, which is off by 3 Frames when compared to the "FPS*Duration" Math. Also removed the "Comma" from the Frame Value.

Still not working. I then updated the job1.ini ...

SourceFPS=
SourceNumberOfFrames=

... to reflect the new accurate Values and its now encoding.
I never suggested you did. It just dawned on me after I made the previous Post that I had inadvertently added a Comma, which as a Matter of Habit I routinely do. Thus I gave a Progression of my Actions above. Maybe someone can learn, as I did, what not to do.

Delete the \RipBot264temp\ Folder and everything underneath it, then try again.

Remove everything first, such as *.264, M2TS Files or anything else in there, or that you have set/copied there that is valuable to you, and move it elsewhere.

I recommend not to keep your Source Files (M2TS) nor set to have your finished encoded MKVs copied to \RipBot264temp or any of its Sub-Dirs.

Me suspects yooz tryan' ta write a new File with same Name to a Directory already containing a File with that Name.

Can you tell me whats causing this.I have gotten rid of all ripbpot temp folders and i get the same result.
