@pio011You're quite welcome ;>}

I use "tsMuxeR" v.1.10.6 frequently and am not aware of any synch problem(s).

Provide specific examples...

The only Sync issues I know about are if the movie is made from a collection (2 or more) m2ts files. Use ClownDB to demux then use tsmuxer to remux, ClownBD via ea3to deals with overlap between m2ts files.

Hi!Change the default setting from 3999 to 9999 to eliminate the splitting

Probably not, since "multiAVCHD" ("only a GUI", as deank insists on stating) uses "tsMuxeR"...

1) Changing to "0" will make it not to split

2) In fact my line was 'not just a GUI' :-)

Haha :) okay then :)

still the line continues..."It doesn't process nor mux things (except the menus, the authoring part of blu-ray/avchd output, the SD_VIDEO output for Panasonic SDHC and lots of other things, not related to HD-DVD)."

Oh, I think the "sync-issues" only came, when I was fastforwarding the movie (single m2ts files on a BR-ROM in a ps3). Then again, after skipping a little, they were somehow "gone" and the audio&video were fine :-)

@deank:
Thanks for this great tool - I am getting to know it better each minute I am working with it - wow!
Since I am playing the discs on my ps3 it's very nice to see that you have integrated the feature that creates "ps3-icon" when you insert the disc in your ps3 and also you see a title of the disc (you talked about it in this thread: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=140293 )

But: How can I modify the ps3-icon and the Title of the Disc in multiAVCHD? For now, I can only do it myself and go to BDMV\META\DL and change the two pictures there and edit the .xml file. It would be great, if you could add this feature to your great tool! :)

My last question: Is it possible with multiAVCHD to ad a audiotrack manually? Say, if you have a mkv file with one audiotrack and would like to add an extra audio? Or do I alway have to work on the file with tsmuxer before I add it to a project in muliAVCHD?

Regards,
pio

Once you click the title name in media tab (or select the file and click "EDIT") you will see "Title properties" window. There you can do a lot of things, incl. editing audio/subtitle tracks.

I turned my 5.1 24/96 wavs into DTS encoded files. Now, having the cue for the wav, how could I use it with dts files to generate "chapter's" into multiAVCHD?

Yes, you can change the .JPG files in DL folder with your own, or simply use "POSTER FRAME" button or "POSTER IMAGE" file in Title properties. multiAVCHD will use it.

.wav should be turned into .dtshd . Me dumb.
And WAVE should be BINARY (Am I right?)

multiAVCHD will search both for .wav and for .dtshd, so you don't need to change the .cue file.

Audio file should be named .dtshd (not .dts) if it is dts-ma/hra

Hi deank,
what a great program !
It's my first message here but I follow this topic for nearly one year.
I have a problem that I didn't have a few months ago : my player (Panasonic DMP-BD35) cannot read anymore the LPCM on AVCHD. He reads the video but there is no sound, only when it's in LPCM (48/16), no problem with Dolby Digital.
And the sound is there because my player sees it (I see LPCM when i click on "display").
It's weird because I remember that I could put LPCM on AVCHD with MultiAVCHD, but it was with an older version than the 3.0 and I don't remember if I updated the firmware of my BD35.
Is it normal ?

deank
29th October 2009, 16:14
May be you need to check your AV receiver settings/cables or go thru the player settings and see if there is something changed about LPCM. I didn't change anything in multiAVCHD about LPCM processing. Of course you can also set it to be converted to AC3.

Thanks for your fast answer !
I checked everything, but i don't have sound only with LPCM on AVCHD on analog output, Hdmi output and SPDIF output !
So I guess that my player has a problem.

I believe I found the explanation : TSMuxer can't open the LPCM of my MKV (I don't understand why), but the video is recognized.
So I extract the LPCM to a wav file with MKVExtract and I mux it (with TSMuxer) in a ts file with the video of the MKV.
Then I open this ts with TSMuxer and both video and sound (in LPCM) are recognized !
Very strange.
As MultiAVCHD uses TSMuxer, it should work now.

well, your great program did it.
This is the good. Now the bad: 5.1 24/192 are not handled I guess by tsmuxer.
Another issue is that dtshd stream length (in time) is different from original wav/wavs.

You either need to enter duration manually (when the POPUP appears telling you that multiAVCHD was not able to detect DTSHD audio duration) or enter it as said in the post I posted a link to.

About 192kHz... I have no samples to test with, but you can try with tsMuxeR GUI and check what errors it will spit.

Hello,

Yes, read the 1st page of the thread. You need some applications to do a transcode... like avisynth, directshow filter (ffdshow) and a splitter (haali). You can also try [x] Use FFms2... option in settings tab.

I was right, it works now !
It means that MKVMerge (that I used to create the MKV with LPCM) can not make good (compliant) MKV with LPCM.
Thus we have to use TSMuxer to create m2ts (or ts) that will be recognized by MultiAVCHD (actually TSMuxer) and readable by the player (or at least the BD35).

I depicted not properly well the issue.
It's not multiAvchd related.
I take the wavs and into the DTSHD encoder I choose 25fps.
It could have been 23.976 or whatsoever, does not matter.
DTSHD stream is shown as having a shorter duration than wavs theirselves.
Yet multiAVCHD encodes the chapter breaks and all of the stuff exactly as long as the original wavs, provided the cue.
Yet, even if the .cue is done per your advice, the duration msgbox pops-up.

One question left: is there a way to make a menu that shows track names (from .cue) as well?

Thanks

P.S.
Donation will be done on November the 1st

deank
30th October 2009, 10:51
No, for multiAVCHD a title is 1 audio file (be it a single song/track or whole album with playlist). You can have menu for 252 audio tracks or 252 audio albums, but not for each song in one big file-album.

Album, track names, performer, duration information from the .cue will be shown as subtitles or encoded in the video itself.

Yes, the pop-up box appears just in case something was not properly detected - you can simply click "ok" if the duration is correct (or you have the .cue properly set). You need to encode your DTSHD to match the original cue marks - there is no framerate information in the audio file itself, so multiAVCHD cannot recalculate timestamps if there is something changed.

Dean,

Is there a way to retain the capitalization when "Use ImgBurn with DVD/BD-R output"? For example, if I type Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen, it comes up in ImgBurn as transformers 2: revenge of the fallen.

Not a big deal at all just thought I would point it out. Thanks.

If you update with multiUPDATE.exe it should be now okay. :)

daberti
30th October 2009, 12:15
Quite clear, thanks: subtitles will be enough.

BTW: DTSHD matches cue marks, even if duration does not match with the original wavs.

Yes, you can change the .JPG files in DL folder with your own, or simply use "POSTER FRAME" button or "POSTER IMAGE" file in Title properties. multiAVCHD will use it.

Well deank, I didn't mean the Images in the menu which is created by multiAVCHD. Actually I mean the Image and the Title of the whole disc in the ps3 menu BEFORE you open the disc. It shows the picture and the title of the first movie! And I want to name it like e.g. "My HD collection" and a picture of my own choice and not the pic and title of the first movie.
Where in mulitAVCHD can I modify that? I can only modify the Titles and Images of each single movie/files in multiAVCHD. :thanks:

The project file was messed up. I started from scratch and I successfully encoded either to Bluray and to AVCHD format.

Hi deank,
I would like to know why does MultiAVCHD create a lot of chapters (maybe one per minute) with my files though they do not contain chapter index ?
On some titles I like it, but it would cool if we could choose to add chapters on some titles and not necessarily all of them.
And in the last version, I don't see anymore the possibility to add chapters every 3 minutes (or more).

I have another suggestion : to be able to force 16/9 on some titles and not all (but that's not very important).

Please examine the options carefully and you will find the answer.

There is a button in title properties which lets you set any number of chapters (or AUTO as a default).
There are 2 options in Author tab, too.

There was never an option to add auto chapters each 3mins.

Build 714:

Here is another cool feature, which some of you may find useful:

* It is now possible to "hide" titles in XMB, Slide and Carousel menu styles. The option is in Title properties: [x] Exclude this title from menu

An example usage of this option is when you want to create video albums or keep main videos separated from features in your compilation.

You can have a compilation of 50 titles, where:

Titles 1 to 13 are recordings from a 1) Birthday party
Titles 14 to 18 are trailers for 2) *some cool movie*
Titles 19 to 50 are recordings from a 3) Wedding

So you can mark all titles as HIDDEN, except titles #1, #14 and #19. This way you'll get a menu with only THREE main titles/thumbnails for each group of videos.

All 50 titles would be directly selectable, will play in order (if you use sequential playback), can be skipped forward/backward, etc. Setting the "Action after finish" option for the last video of a group to "Display menu" will make your 'album'/'group' to play and later return to the 'album title'.

Another usage could be to have 4 or 5 movies plus trailers for each movie. Then you can hide all the trailers and have only the movies as selectable menu titles in XMB/SLI/CAR.

Probably one can think of other things to do with 'hidden' titles, too :) like hiding titles which can be played ONLY if user enters the correct title number with player's remote control.

Also in this build there is an update for audio titles/albums with .cue sheet, which has INDEX 99 parameter to set duration of the album. multiAVCHD won't ask the user for the duration if it finds INDEX 99.

Cool, great job !
It's a little bit like the "title menu" and the "chapter menu" in Tmpg Dvd Author. Excepted that there is only a Title menu in MultiAVCHD but I believe it's enough.
I never use chapter menu on dvd, so I won't with AVCHD.

Hi, i tried the 3 files from that post.
MatroskaSplitter.exe
ffdshow_rev3119_20091027_clsid_x64.exe
Avisynth_258.exe

still the same errors,
even another problem came up, when i select film in the Media tab, mx264x.exe takes up to 30%, and the screen for editing the media specs will open only after i terminate that process.
if i wont terminate the process, it doesnt do anything.

Thnx.

A good starting point is to remove all codec packs you have, uninstall avisynth, haali and ffdshow and start over after a reboot. Such problems as yours mean that your system has troubles with avisynth and decoding video through directshow.
