Such async means audio/video FPS difference (or a problem @ the "glue" points"). I think tsdemux handles audio delays properly, but still - is there a chance to upload a structure and send me an email with a link?

I tried mpls import with over 20 mts files and there was no audio/video sync problems.

What should be included in this upload? Every mts has 15-20 MB and after importing mpl there is no possibility to choose i. e. two or three mts... I have no idea how to do this upload :(
My camera is PAL 25fps.

The delay occurs just after FIRST scene and increases slightly with further scenes...

Try with only first 2 mts files + the rest of the structure. If delays occur between mts1 and mts2 these 2 files will be sufficient.

I understand but how to do this? multiAVCHD joins all 800 mts's and if I cancel the operation - there is only joined mts in temp folder - there is no another files...

I don't think that mediainfo reports which is the 'default' track, so I have no way of knowing.

The disc worked with that Samsung BDP 1500.

:) Great!

Is it possible to make non-16:9 movies playable like this?

4:3 is supported, too, but only in 720x480 and 720x576. No other aspect ratios can be used in AVCHD and Blu-ray.

So, there's no way to play cropped non 16:9 (1920*1050 for example) with subtitles on ps3 (without reencoding)?

I believe both MultiAVCHD and TsMuxer can do this now if the cropped video width is greater than 584. of coz with black bar at the bottom.

Build 574:

* Another speed improvement with playlist files processing + a small fix for AVCHD index file.

* As promised - thumbnails for menu backgrounds and chapters are now saved in HDAVCTN folder in the output compilation.

The folder will not be re-/created if:

* you're creating output for Panasonic
* the compilation has no menu
* Classic/list menu type is used

Importing titles in existing compilations now takes over 10 times less time. The increased speed will cost you some disc space of course.

Files in HDAVCTN folder use the following naming convention:

MMMMM-TTTCCC.jpg

where:

MMMMM is the mts/m2ts file used for thumbnail extraction,
TTT is the title number and
CCC is the chapter number for the generated thumbnail.

MMMMM-TTT000.jpg is the image used for main thumbnail (for title#TTT) in XMB and Thumbnail menu (also used for background blending in XMB).

I hope you will like this new feature! It takes much less time now and if you decide to convert XMB to Thumnail menu or vice versa, multiAVCHD will do it really fast.

* If any of these files are missing, multiAVCHD will recreate them.

* If you change (replace) any of these files, multiAVCHD will use them in the next compilation.

For example, changing XXXXX-001000.jpg with a poster image of your choice, will make multiAVCHD to show it for title#1 (16:9 aspect ratio is forced).

I did a test with a previous XMB compilation I was regularly creating (20 titles / ~20 hours video content) - it was taking about 30mins before - and now it takes just 4. :D

Hi dean,

I have another problem with files from my camcorder. I write here - maybe someone has the same problem. My movie do not fit SL bluray disc. It has about 30GB of data. As you know I import mpls with all 800 shots.
Is it possible to make some option to split movie to 2 or more discs? The best deal for me is 25GB on AVCHD bluray and about 5 GB on AHCHD DVD.
As you know - mpls imports all mts and there is no way to chose mts or split anything to more than one disc.

Peter

PS
My previous problems with audio synchronization after mts joining are solved! ffdshow which plays AVCHD files on my computer was lagging video. Please be carefull with this!

What you're asking is a function of popBD (you have it in your multiAVCHD folder if you downloaded the complete setup).

Your option is to let multiAVCHD do its work (with no split options in muxer tab) and then use popBD to split the ouput to 2 BD-R/RE discs.

When multiAVCHD finishes its work I get: few very big mts and whole folder structure together with cpi, mpl, bdm files.
Then I should import to popBD - which file? I have few of them. And then what? again authoring with multiAVCHD? I am afraid I dont understand :(

Dean simply means that multiAVCHD does not change any thing with the move.m2ts. It is the player that plays these movies differently. For example, PowerDVD plays better than TotalMedia Theatre for the same movie wrapped in blu-ray format. You can play these movie.m2ts files through PS3 via blu-ray format (AVCHD) or, if you like, burn them as data disc and play them as individual movie.m2ts files without navigation menu. A PIONEER or LG BD Player may play better than PS3 if you compare carefully. Your case is, the movie.m2ts is not well-handled in blu-ray format but OK with individual file. It depends on your player, not multiAVCHD.

If you're importing files (MKV/MPG/MTS/MOV...etc) and have:

my_vacation_video.mkv

the image (jpg) will be used as main thumbnail for the title. :) It is better to have it in 16:9 - if not - multiAVCHD will stretch it anyway (to 1920x1080 and 344x194).

Hello,

I've just try the new update (574+) with the custom thumbnail import and I found a bug after compilation.

If I create AVCHD with some titles (3 trailers for my test), multiAVCHD create in "HDAVCTN" folder the thumbnails with custom jpeg image but only the first tilte display correctly the custom thumbnail.
The other titles display thumbnail automaticly created by multiavchd process.

In "HDAVCTN" folder the jpeg created are (for 3 titles movies):
00000-001000.jpg (custom image for 1st title) used correctly
00001-001000.jpg (custom image for 2sd title) not used
00001-002000.jpg (automatic thumbnail created for 2sd title) used but not wanted
00002-001000.jpg (custom image for 3th tilte) not used
00002-003000.jpg automatic thumbnail created for 3th title) used but not wanted

It will let users choose:

1) Background image
2) Audio file (AC3)
3) Duration (1-30sec)
4) 2 lines for welcome messages and 1 line for time/date (can be configured to show or not)

I'll probably remove the predefined "blue-hills" welcome screen :)... I'll miss it :)

what is the best way to bring DVDs as original as possible to Blueray with multiAVCHD?

I tried following:

MakeMKV (http://www.videohelp.com/tools/MakeMKV) Chapterinformation will be lost. Language-ID of Audiofiles partly lost.

PgcDemux (http://www.videohelp.com/tools/PgcDemux) Chapterinformation will be stored in wrong format, but most programs I know uses this format (Celltimes.txt stored in seconds). Identify of Subtitles (sup-format) is difficult, a program is needed.

VobEdit can be used to demultiplex the files, also to split the streams by cell if needed.
IfoEdit can give you the chapter and language information.
SubRip can turn the demultiplexed subtitles into text format via OCR.

You will have to shuffle around files and do some manual interaction though.

VobEdit can be used to demultiplex the files, also to split the streams by cell if needed.
IfoEdit can give you the chapter and language information.
SubRip can turn the demultiplexed subtitles into text format via OCR.

You will have to shuffle around files and do some manual interaction though.

Hi,

thanks for the answer, I can try this in the evening, but as I know this programs they also use for chapters celltimes.txt which is not supportet by multiAVCHD.

My problem is not to bring one DVD in AVCHD-Format, I have to convert a lot of DVDs, so I´m looking for a most comfortable method.

Maybe I have to write a script or small program to bring celltimes.txt in the correct format.

If you send me a sample of how celltimes look - i can make multiAVCHD support the format.

Are celltimes in frames format?

1000 (40th second in 25fps video for chapter 1?)
2000
3000
4000
etc...

Also, do you (or anyone else) know if celltimes use 30fps for (29.970) and 24 for (23.976)?
