Did you test 4gig m2ts files with the 0.9 ? That seems a little arbitrary.

Hey Deank

Nice program...
the XMB menu works perfect on my ps3. I was wondering if it is possible to add a feature that allows you to add a picture(blu-ray cover) to the title i the XMB menu?

Hi Dean,

do you have still problems with your server? When starting the programm, I see "checking for new version" for about 1 min., then this:

http://home.arcor.de/spamlos/gif/error.png

I could update to newest version via multiupdate.exe. But still no update within multiAVCHD.

EDIT: all is good, did a complete download, then it updated correctly.

My cheap router locked :)

There is a problem with mplayer... keeps crashing :( Please update to 453.

- MPlayer crashed by bad usage of CPU/FPU/RAM.
Recompile MPlayer with --enable-debug and make a 'gdb' backtrace and
disassembly. Details in DOCS/HTML/en/bugreports_what.html#bugreports_crash.
- MPlayer crashed. This shouldn't happen. ( deank: :) :) )
It can be a bug in the MPlayer code _or_ in your drivers _or_ in your
gcc version. If you think it's MPlayer's fault, please read
DOCS/HTML/en/bugreports.html and follow the instructions there. We can't and
won't help unless you provide this information when reporting a possible bug.

There is now :)

If someone knows of other program (not mplayer) that can extract frames from m2ts files - let me know.

I'll do some tests with ffmpeg, but suggestions are welcome.

In 453 mplayer sometimes crashes but second attempt is made and usually does not give errors... if 2nd attempt fails - THIRD attempt is made and it ALWAYS succeeds (but the thumnail is not really corresponding to the jump point)...

The problem is that if error occurs - compilation stops until you confirm 'mplayer exeption'. :(

The new version 453, goofed up my XMB menu. The chapters thumbs were much better (I think the .9 should be remove because the icons are minutes early), but listed with the wrong movie title. Every other title didn't show up on the main XMB menu and the chapters showed up and played with different movie's icon (The first title was ok). If you would try to wrap around the XMB menu up or down, the PS3 would lockup.

playing titlie 1 plays title 1 and show correct chapters
playing title 2 plays nothing (3 second blank video) show duration 0m 00s
playing title 3 plays title 2 and shows title 2 chapter thumbs
playing title 4 plays nothing (3 second blank video) show duration 0m 00s
playing title 5 plays title 3 and shows title 3 chapter thumbs

No access to title 4 and 5.

The log error were like the following:
[12:26:05] Populating menu structure...
[12:26:13] Creating menu backgrounds for 9 titles (XMB)...
[12:27:07] Error creating background image for title #2 (XMB)!

Did anyone try [x] Edit AVCHD on loading?

I am very happy you added this feature.

But it seems to need a little work. I leave it checked and if the source directory file extensions are the longer versions (4 char) it causes an error. The longer extensions names get set if the program errors out during running. If I don't check the option the 3 or 4 char extensions work (mts or m2ts, etc).

No, I couldn't use the corrupt AVCHD as a source. So I have to move the m2ts files back to the working AVCHD source and use the backed-up CLIPINF and PLAYLIST as a starting point.

i removed this LOG message because yesterday I did some changes and it just left out.

It was used to get duration and width/height from m2ts files when importing AVCHD folders (not mkv/ts/m2ts/mov files), because multiAVCHD needed to know if any existing m2ts needs to be set as NonCompliant title.

Starting with the cleaned source and build 454 the XMB menu was built fine. Not sure what happened the first time. I looked at the source dir and one of the txt file dates was changed. I wonder if when loading the AVCHD with the option "[x] Edit AVCHD on loading?" enabled failed, it changed some files (play list clip info)? I didn't reorder anything just selected apply.

I think you asked earlier today.

Yes, I can add external posters if you place something along your input files - for example if your input movie is

movie-file.mkv

and your poster is

movie-file.poster.jpg or movie-file.jpg

multiAVCHD will use it. I'll add it tomorrow.

How about if your input is AVCHD? Can you add a item to browse for clip on the edit title screen where you currently have TitleName and clip location? The save that association in the text files in AVCHD root with the input poster files?

I guess I'll add another .txt file in output AVCHD folder named multiPOSTER.txt with links to posters or default if title background will be used, ie

c:\movie1.jpg
c:\movie2.jpeg
d:\blabla\movie3.png
default
f:\blabla2\movie5.bmp

Also I can add a button in EDITOR tab when clicking (for NAME/Thumbnail) to get option to browse for image. It will be better to copy posters to output avchd folder and use them if AVCHD folder is reused... I'll see how to implement it.

***

XMB: in build 457 you will see video/audio info for title-1/title+1 and video info for title-2/title+2.

I have one title with one chapter mark that causes my PS3 to lockup. It is chapter 10 at 45min mark. The PS3 lockups whether I select the chapter via the XMB menu, via starting the Movie and pressing chapter skip until I hit chapter 10, or starting at chapter 11 and using prev. chap skip button. I can play the video from chapter 9 right through the chapter 10 mark with no issue.

By lockup I mean the movie play back stops. I can bring up the options menu and display bar and tell the PS3 to abort playback. But it never aborts playback. If you press the PS3 button and select shut down it will beep three times and you have to power cycle the rear switch.

Anybody know what to look for in the video files or BD menu files to find the issue? Can a chapter mark end up right between a MTS file boundary and cause issues? :confused:

I am using a external HDD formated FAT32 with AVCHD with 5 titles.

I have one title with one chapter mark that causes my PS3 to lockup.

I fixed it. I downloaded BDedit and the chapter 10 mark was at 1:59:59 and I moved it to 2:00:00 and all is fine. The chapter was not at a MTS file break (30 some seconds after).

The mark being at a double roll over must have caused the PS3 lockup.

Why does multiAVCHD start all the videos at strange times when multiple titles are used? This video started at 1:14:59 so add 45min and you are at 1:59:59 on the 10th chapter mark. My guess is it is just uses the source M2TS file's time marks.

Maybe move the "Chapter Selection" title to the middle of the right side?

I don't think it is possible to have more than 15 buttons on a single menu page and now XMB uses exactly 15.

A reminder to new and old users of multiAVCHD:

If adding FILES (mkv/mts/m2ts/mov/mpeg/mpg/ts), multiAVCHD will search for additional media (subtitles/audio/etc).

Example: your input (movie file) is called Test_movie.mkv

multiAVCHD can add corresponding:

* Test_movie.LID.srt (where LID is subtitle language ID to be used)
* Test_movie.srt (SubRip subtitles)
* Test_movie.ssa (substation alpha subtitles)
* Test_movie.sup (BD subtitles)
* Test_movie.ac3 (Dolby Digital Audio)
* Test_movie.dts (DTS audio)
* Test_movie.pcm (PCM audio)
* Test_movie.lpcm (LPCM audio)
* Test_movie.txt (chapters - soon!)

Soon (for XMB menu):
* Test_movie.jpg (JPEG poster image - jpg or jpeg)
* Test_movie.bmp (BMP poster image)
* Test_movie.png (PNG poster image)

That would be great ... setting the chapter markers individually via txt file would push this programm to the next level.

You can now use external chapters in .txt file. TXT file format is really relaxed :) and could be a mess such as:

00:00:02;00:00:03;00:00:04;00:00:05 ; 00:00:06
00:00:07
00:00:08;
00:00:12;00:00:13;00:00:14
00:00:15

00:00:16;
00:00:17
00:00:18
00:00:19 00:00:20 00:00:21 00:00:22 00:00:23

Each line can contain one or many chapter marks, separated by ";" or space " " and time stamps have to be exactly 8 characters long (HH:MM:SS, not M:SS or H:MM:SS or H:M:S...). Empty lines are ignored.

:)

I think of dropping out the oldest (predefined) menu style with "Title#1... Title#20". I doubt anyone uses it anymore... Then of course multiAVCHD will ALWAYS require avisynth when menu is created.

Does anyone still use the pre-custom menu from the initial versions? It will decrease the size of multiAVCHD package (and DAT) by ~50%.

The video may not be compatible in the mov file. You can use Ripbot to create a new file that works in MultiAVCHD.
