Yes, sorry about that. Too much new info is stored in the project file about internal audio/subtitles... That's why it crashes i guess.

I hope now it will be okay and more stable.

Please if you get an error - give me the exact line number where it occurs.

@lchiu7:

For some reason you're reading between the lines or not willing to understand what I'm saying.

1) I explained that I'm adding Volume split to multiAVCHD

2) popBD doesn't demux the audio - I have no idea what you've seen and why you decided it does - it will split your 8GB file in one pass with tsMuxeR and then will prepare 2 AVCHD folders for 2 DVDs.

@SiC: If you send me a small sample with AVC+FLAC I may try to implement it.

Dean

you don't think that popbd could be integrated in multiavchd? maybe with an image which tell: end of the first part at the end of the part? could be a good pro version a tool which includes both...

I guess my english is too bad to explain myself.

Let's rephrase:

1) I'm ADDING VOLUME SPLIT TO MULTIAVCHD which in other words is IMPLEMENTING POPBD inside multiAVCHD.

2) Read 1) again.

@dean i tried your build and i removed successfully audio that i dont want, how can i position srt to display where i want in your software?

also on subtitles is checked forced to display subtitles, but for me on mpc-hc it dosent work, i must manually turn it on from navigation. and then srt shows up perfectly.

any guesses what might be? some flag must be turned on?

i see on audio is turned on and works perfectly

thanks

You can use the OFFSET setting in Muxer tab to reposition subtitles.

I told you already that subtitles not auto showing in mpc-hc is not a problem of mine. It seems it is ignoring the flag.

Three suggestions for the future (I dare not to call them feature "requests"):

a) when project saving/storing is mature and tested enough, what do you think of batch processing?
b) tsMuxeR has the option to extract the SD streams out of HD audio streams. It would be nice, if multiAVCHD includes this option in the editor controls
c) more a vague idea than a real suggestion: with xmb, slide and carousel with have three nice "standard" menu options. wouldn't it be nice to give more advanced users direct access to the avisynth script by specifying a template, where multiAVCHD replaces patterns with the paths to chapter thumbnails, movie length etc.. This way we could all contribute easily to the set of "standard" menus and also create our own special menus when needed.

This is not a problem of multiAVCHD but your Directshow settings (or the format of the files you're adding).

There is a 'flip' option in ffdshow so you may use it before starting multiAVCHD.

This defect is caused by having TONS of codecs installed and they all try to work, but they interfere with each other.

Dean
That's what I supposed in my first post. Now the problem is, which codec is used by multiAVCHD. The lame H264 codec of ffdshow is disabled, I'm using CoreAVC. I played the video in MPC, ZP and WMP - they all run fine with it and nothing's upside down. If I open it in TMPGEnc 4.0, which also uses DirectShow, it's correct.

@phate89:
You're making FUTURE requests about a FUTURE option?!

Let me decide how to LOG what's happening during multiAVCHD processing :)

@infiniter: I think there is a flip option in CoreAVC, too. multiAVCHD uses Directshow, not a specific filter/decoder. It uses the one that Avisynth decides.

Thanks for the help, but all that is what I checked before going here to ask for help. There is no flip option in CoreAVC.
So I went and used the filter management feature of Zoomplayer to edit the merit of any H264 codec installed, except CoreAVC, to 00200000. With this, AviSynth should use CoreAVC, if possible. Unfortunately, it didn't help.
Strange thing is, that the title properties windows still shows upside down, but when clicking preview, the chapter preview windows shows correctly.
I also tried to uncheck "Use DirectShow", but then I got errors when it tried to create thumbails.

Dean, a small glitch. Updated from build 621 to 623 and 623 will not load the project created and saved with 621.

[11:47:56] multiAVCHD.dat version: [02070611]
[11:48:16] Imported project version is unsupported! (build: 617)

Can this be fixed so the project does not need to be created from scratch again?

Thanks.

If you load it you won't have the internal audio information and errors may occur. You can open .mpf file with notepad and change the BUILD information for the first title to 623.

Not a good idea tho because you may lose all internal audio/subtitle tracks. I'm working to fix it today, so just wait a bit. I think it won't be possible but at least the names can be kept.. still i'm not sure.

deank, have you got any plans to add better support for odd resolution MKV files? By support. I mean maybe a way to preview what a file may look like (as I've had some that play fine despite being odd and some that don't) or maybe a built-in version of something like uncropMKV that will just do what needs to be done as it were automatically?! I'm not sure if theres a hard and fast rule to what will and won't work! Sorry if its been discussed before....

deank

Build 624:

* [x] Core only option in Internal audio tab of Title properties for DTS HR/MA and Dolby TrueHD audio tracks. Using this option overrides [x] Convert HD audio options in Settings.

I tested it with m2ts files but it should work with MKVs too. Let me know if something is wrong.

* all multiAVCHD settings are saved in the current project, so the next time you load it you'll have all options as they were the last time you saved the project. Options will be loaded from a project ONLY if it is the FIRST loaded in multiAVCHD and there are no titles/files loaded.

Dean

@rendez2k: In title properties you can see the ref-count for a loaded mkv file. If it is too high - file won't work. In some of the previous builds unsupported ref-count files were marked in red, but not now. I'll add it again. Otherwise - I can't know what user will use for final playback and I really don't want to add uncropMKV functions to multiAVCHD.

Dean, thanks for the offer! I opened the mpf in notepad and replaced all 617 with 623 and it opened in build 624. I made my changes and it appears to be working as it identifies the audio files during the compiling process. Thanks for info that I could try to salvage my project that way.

I am trying the poster frame file function instead of using seconds into the file...a nice feature to get the frame you want for the thumbnail. Still have not made use of all the nice features you have built in....and continue to add.

Once you create a file for a blu-ray disk, can it be converted or altered to be used on a USB without going throught a re-build of the project?

Hello,
it's been a while I haven't come back and browse this forum; I have kept using multiAVCHD for Panasonic SD card and all is well. Today however I wanted to try to create a menu to output on DVD. When I go to the editor tab and try to edit the titles I get an error with pop-up windows 'Windows - No Disc'. If I cancel several times I manage to get into the editor but in the end it doesn't seem to be working fully (Menu preview doesn't show the preview thumbnails when using Slide menu).
Does anyone else has this problem ? Actually I also get this when I want to edit the title for SD output, it used to work fine but now it's not anymore since a couple of weeks I think, it shows again 'MultiAVCHD' in the Panasonic menu instead of the file name given.
Here is a screen of the error :

None of the titles in the project are larger than 4000mib, so can I just transfer the whole thing onto a USB without running it through multiAVCHD again?

Thanks.

You can disable title preview in settings: [x] Disable preview in title properties and it will work.

It seems you don't have proper Avisynth + Directshow codecs to see the preview - hence the errors.

Also - make sure you download the FULL package.

Another suggestion is to install multiAVCHD in C:\multiAVCHD.

If you used "Blu-ray for BD-R" output mode your can't use the result directly to play from USB (with Playstation3) - you need to make it AVCHD. It will take seconds anyway because it will just move all files into the new folder, create proper index.bdm and other stuff and will only recreate the menu - that's about it.

8-16 titles smells like DEMO Version :( In this case you literally force users to pay you for full product. And here's the problem. How can you charge people if whole engine (TSmuxer) does not belong to you. TSmuxer's license

I've read the license agreement of tsmuxer. I don't see where I said that I'm making multiAVCHD commercial or I'm going to sell copies of it. AND EVEN IF I DECIDE to do it - I don't see a problem, because I can sell multiAVCHD.exe.

It is up to me to decide how many titles multiAVCHD will support. So please give me a break.

All things that happen in multiAVCHD depend on free software so everyone can do all of them their selves - NOT the menu, NOT the Panasonc support and a lot of things you don't even understand.

I'm not forcing anyone to do anything. I've spent hundreds of sleepless hours with multiAVCHD, so please don't tell me what I can do and what I can't.

* multiAVCHD does not depend on tsMuxeR to create a menu

* multiAVCHD does not depend on tsMuxeR if you want to add Blu-ray discs or AVCHD compilations in normal mode

You're really something :) you know.

This is the last time I reply to your posts and also carousel menu will be removed. I don't want to have anything with arrogant and egocentric people as you proved to be.

Please consider staying at doom9.

At least 2 good reasons:

a) managing a forum seems trivial at first but turns out very time consuming after a while - I hope you agree, that this can be better spend on writing software
b) after all, doom9 had its share in making multiAVCHD, popBD and uncropMKV the software that it is and its popularity

I think, everybody can see, that you and Atak are not on the best terms - so just put him on your personal ignore list.

What do you intend to derive out of it?! Ask yourself are you using deank's program as well? If you like it...why even bother to make such a big fuss all over the use of third party utility to make this program work?! You know what I will call you...'A hypocrite'...So are you happy now Atak?

obeying to license rules of embedded/re-distributed software is a delicate topic and every product, commercial or not. Every software distributor has to take care of that. A commercial distribution of any software should either get the agreement of all third-party authors included in the distribution or should not include but list them as requirements (maybe with a nice installation guide).

Personally, I would have risen this issue in a PM rather than a forum's post as I won't consider this of particular interest for most readers of this thread.

The annoying part of Atak's post is How can you charge people if whole engine (TSmuxer) does not belong to you.
