I'll try to add 'custom video' for welcome screen (may be) some time next week.

* A note about the latest build:

[x] Show this title first option can be used as "Play this title first" if no menu is used.

Also some bugs were fixed with playback sequence (thanks to jsffm) and broken import of external avchd/blu-ray folders, containing only one playlist.

For the Welcome Screen function you refer to. I wanted it to play an M2TS or TS file (audio and Video). Is this now possible or must one use a hexeditor for the MPLS file as you mentioned a while ago.

Thank you for the explanation of how the other function works.

Hi Dean

As you probably remember I have a movie with 800 files (from my camcorder). It do not fit on one BD-R (ca 30GB). I would like to do the following:

1. join first 50 mts and make one title from this
2. join further 50 mts and make second title,
...
and so on.

I would like to have i. e. 10 titles, every title consists of 50 joined mts.

I cannot import whole mpl because it consists of all 800 mts and multiAVCHD will import all mts.

Can you make such option to join several mts into one file and than to author such joined mts as a title?

i. e. I choose 50 mts and multiAVCHD with the help of tsmuxer joins them and after that I can import one big file to author it as a title.

Authors of tsmuxer doesnt want to make such option to join multiple files. Importing 800 files one by one is non sense...

Thanks,
Peter

Congrats to making it to version 3. I really like the save/load option.

A couple of very small things.

When I do the menu preview I have clicked on the X in the corner rather than close (windows habit). It makes the program hang and then quit (and thus losing everything). I had this with the older versions too. I suggest everyone to save the project before previewing just in case.

The other one is a mispelling. "Go to fist title" in the title properties.

I think both things are fixed in build 620.

@espero: You're asking of a feature that I'm working on (or at least can be used in your case) - Volume split.

Volume split would be very usefull, but also... joining of multiple mts (not from the mpls but directly). As I told you before I would like to join i. e. 50 mts together and after that author it as one title. Will it also be possible in future versions?

I have your build 620 and have an issue...I may have caused it myself...but here is what happened. I did not want chapters or chapter thumbnails so I removed all the chapter times that were set automatically when I imported the media. I try to start the build to Blu-ray disk and txmuxer199.exe causes a windows crash on each title it tries to process. Is this because I removed the chapter times? Also I tried to add the option to Add Chapters and chapter thumbnails since I removed them, and still tsmuxer199 crashes....any advise?

The "save project" feature is superb!

Thanks

@HDBytes: It is a bug - thanks for noticing it. Update to 621. It is fixed + a bug when no menu is created - error pops up. You can have chapters, but get rid of the thumbnails if you uncheck [x] Create chapter thumbnails in XSC tab. When chapters are missing you can use the [AUTO] button in Title properties / Chapter files.

@espero: I'll try

@rendez2k: Compilations are randomly restricted from 128 to 252 titles. I'll decide later what to do about donate-ware versions. The "128" value will decrease each day or week (not build).

Do not worry... License database is running and will supply keys and licenses to selected users.

Current restrictions (of 128 to 252 titles) won't bother most people.

Final free version will allow only 8-16 titles... Of course it may be in july, or december, or it may never happen.

Media Player Classic HC shows subtitles if you choose in "Options": Playback/Output/VMR9 (renderless)**
**required for the internal subtitle renderer
(edit June 1st: in addition make sure that in Options\Internal Filters at least "Mpeg PS/TS/PVA is activated).
without these settings you see indicated, that there are subtitles and can choose one, but it wonīt be shown.

and by the way it might be of interest: Nero 9 Showtime canīt play Blu-Ray discīs*, but if you choose "file", then "all files" you can pick the streamfile *.m2ts and if you have a subtitle to load you also will see it.

Hello!

Nice tool, Dean. I gave it a try, version 3.0. But there are problems...
I searched for "upside down" and "flipped" here in this thread, but no one seems to have mentioned the problem before:

When adding media, either a MKV or a BDMV I created from it, and going to the Editor, the little preview shows the picture upside down. And so any chapter snapshots will be.

Does anyone have any idea if this is a matter of multiAVCHD reading via DirectShow and codecs (playing the movie with MPC is of course not upside down) or of a certain version? Perhaps the 2.7 will work better, but I haven't tried yet.

strad
31st May 2009, 22:04
I loaded a compilation (BDMV, just finished) with v3 and there is nothing "upside down"! I never noticed this in any version since working with the program and you might not have found anything about it because probably nobody else experienced it.

deank
31st May 2009, 22:47
Hello!
When adding media ... preview shows the picture upside down.

This is not a problem of multiAVCHD but your Directshow settings (or the format of the files you're adding).

There is a 'flip' option in ffdshow so you may use it before starting multiAVCHD.

This defect is caused by having TONS of codecs installed and they all try to work, but they interfere with each other.

I scanned the forum but didn't see the answer to this.

I have files greater than the size of a SL DVD. I would like to split the titles across more than 1 DVD but the only options I can see are to author for PS3 (so it just creates the split file in one AVCHD folder) or to a device that can play AVCHD burnt titles. But the output, while having split media files, still only has one menu and directory so the individual files cannot be burnt to more than one disc.

The way around this for me is to split the title first using tsmuxer and then creating individual titles but I am wondering if multiavchd can do it instead

Thanks

The program is great!! I've created many BDs with compatible H264 files with AC3 audio.

I have one question, is it possible to use a MKV file with H264 video & Flac audio? I tried using the file but I ended up with an audio error saying it doesn't support Flac. Is there a way to make it support Flac audio by adding something?

Thanks,

Dean

Didn't know about that program. Tried it out on a m2ts file of 8G that has h.264 video and DTS HD Master audio (I deliberately kept the audio in this format). PopHD started to invoke tsmuxer to decode the audio for some reason. I killed it. It seems just as easy to split the file up using txmuxer directly and just setting a split point at 4G or so. While you can't specify the split point exactly, at least it's not trying to demux the audio. Of course it means then I have to multiavchd as many times as there are segments.

Also in multiavchd I see there is an option to Volume Split at (MiB) and the box is set to 8140. But the value is greyed out and can't be changed (well I can't change it). What is that for?

Thanks

@lchiu7:

For some reason you're reading between the lines or not willing to understand what I'm saying.

1) I explained that I'm adding Volume split to multiAVCHD

2) popBD doesn't demux the audio - I have no idea what you've seen and why you decided it does - it will split your 8GB file in one pass with tsMuxeR and then will prepare 2 AVCHD folders for 2 DVDs.

@SiC: If you send me a small sample with AVC+FLAC I may try to implement it.

As far as I understand the syntax of the tsMuxeR meta file, this tries to load the audio tracks twice: from the extracted audio stream (which is fine) and from the extracted video stream as well (which is bound to fail).

Obviously, tsMuxeR complains about bad frames when trying to multiplex with these settings.

Another note: Do not try to load a build 621 project into build 622 or 623 multiAVCHD, it will break sooner or later during editing or processing with an error in line 8400-something. May it is good idea to include a version information into the project file and reject it, if it is incompatible.

Cheers, and continue the great work,
