I did already first test with 3 movies and it works without any problem. After only 20min I had all 3 movies on the Fat32 disc. Thank you for this nice feature it is a great help to prevent much manual work for watching movies with the PS3. I used AVCHD manager before and needed to start TsMuxeR for each movie and go back with the disc to the PC to switch the active movie.

Download the full Setup (from 1st post) and try again.
Uncheck [x] Delete temp files and check your _temp folder... there should be 00000.meta... please paste its contents to compare to tsmuxer's meta in gui.

Hi deank
Congratulation - this is ideal for me soft.
I have - multiAVCHD 2.5 (built 523)
1) Could you make a change in menu properities - Headline offset- to X and Y coordinate system separatelly.
2) Can I add audio file to menu?
Regards
deank
13th April 2009, 21:18
Headline offset is used in all 3 types of menues (classic/thumb/xmb) and I guess you're asking for the XMB one. There is not much space in the GUI to fit one, but I'll think of it.
The audio - no - until a proper muxer is available to mux avc+igs+ac3. At this point I managed to do avc+igs in a real brute-force way.

Yes, update to build 499 and you'll find an option in settings [x] and delete video if removed :)
MTS/m2ts file will be renamed to *.del if option is unchecked. Also clpi/mpls files will be renamed to .del in their folders.
Hi Deank, I had tested but what about if I want to add the old movie back (renamed to .del) with other movies in 1 MultiAVCHD again?
MultiAVCHD doesnt read the file or title name from .del.

Did anyone had a chance to try multiAVCHD output with the new buttons (for Blu-ray) to players OTHER THAN PS3?
New Bluray output to BD5 (DVD+R):
works on Sony BDP-S350
doesn't work on Samsung BD-P1500

You people really have strange ideas...
you can rename all .del files back to .clpi/mpls/m2ts and put an index.bdmv in your old/deleted multiavhcd compilation.

Hi DeanK
I have a little proposal for a feature:
It would be nice to be able to append titles/videos to an already authored AVCHD. This would cut down the authoring time, and you would be able to collect all your titles in the same AVCHD.
Regards
deank
14th April 2009, 08:10
It is possible.
Read here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=1264785#post1264785) or read the 1st post.

A small tweak was added in latest build:
If you import MPLS files they will show in Editor tab with FOLDER_NAME taken from the path. For example
D:\Training_Day\bdmv\playlist\00000.mpls
you will see Training Day in Editor tab.

Build 524:
MPLS file import:
* Fixed: A_LPCM was not detected
* Fixed: Audio track delays were not detected
* Added: [x] Keep all audio tracks now affects MPLS tracks, too.
* Added: [x] Add embedded subtitles now affects MPLS tracks, too.
* Added: [x] Add external subtitles now affects MPLS tracks, too. (you can add 00XXX.srt / 00XXX.sup with 00XXX.mpls)
* Added: [x] Add external audio tracks & [x] and keep original now affect MPLS tracks, too.
(You can add 00XXX.dts/ac3/lpcm with 00XXX.mpls / you can also use .LID. for audio and subtitles, ie 00XXX.fre.srt 00XXX.deu.ac3)
In other words you can load your movie mpls file and strip it off of all subtitle and audio tracks (except the 1st one or add external) and get smaller output size.
--------------------------
@navycrow: Please try again with your movie. I'm sorry - the problem may have been with the improper detection of the A_LPCM in your movie.

Oh, okay. I suggested the option because fifteen said that he tested on DVD, not BD-R.
I believe that your test will be successful if you use . Stricter.... is not applied in this case anyway.
---
About AVCHD Patcher - I strongly suggest users NOT TO TRY IT EVER on multiAVCHD output. I know what it does and it is not needed for multiAVCHD index.bdmv file. [B]goBD (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=1255353#post1255353) does the same and its idea was to make BD structures written on USB or DVD to be accepted as AVCHD in PS3 and some other players.

Dean, you said something about language tags, and I have a suggestion: I can't seem to make subtitles be understood as Portuguese, it is always identified as "Other".
However, mkv2vob is able to identify the language correctly, as you can define the language when adding a file.
I know that the purpose of multiAVCHD is different, as I can load numerous files, but maybe there could be an audio/subtitle language option on the "Edit" tab that opens up when editing the titles names. On that option, you could actually choose between many languages the ones you are adding.
Just a suggestion, anyway, as it is not actually a problem. Keep up the good work!
Cheers!

You may try to rename the subtitles and put them in order as:
movie.mkv
movie.01.por.srt
movie.02.eng.srt
or you may try to use "CLIPINF Editor" to correct the subtitles and soundtrack.

It is a weird thing to ask but can you put 'cmd.exe' in your multiAVCHD folder? You should find it in windows\system32\cmd.exe
The error in the log:
[15:13:56] Converting PLAYLIST to AVCHD (E:\King Arthur\BDMV\PLAYLIST\00000.mpls).
[15:13:56] Error obtaining information (tsMuxeR)!(00000.mpls)...
[15:13:56] No valid information found! (00000.mpls)...
means that multiAVCHD tries to obtain info (using tsmuxer) and it doesn't work... It doesn't have anything to do with your source. :(

I haven't really try the new feature as I dun need to get the chapters to work...but issit really that hard to get it work? deank, can you list down the step(s) perhaps on how to go about doing it? I can try to help out in the testing and see what's wrong...
From the screenshots, I guess all I need to do is to use TXMuxer and add the PLAYLIST (with files extension 'mpls') and mux it, right? So the result will be having the movie with chapter markers added in, right?

@navycrow: :) That's good.
@jdeiro: No, nothing about LID's is added or changed for many builds.
@desray: Importing mpls is useful, because multiAVCHD cannot SPLIT bdmv/avchd input folders. If you import mpls file you can get something like 'movie-only' copy of your Blu-ray disc on USB or in 4GiB FAT32 compatible chunks... etc.

Some small changes in 524:

* Count of output subtitle tracks extended to 16 (was 10)

Thanks.

It is added.... and will work for MKV/MP4/MOV files.
So with this option now (in Audio / Subtitles) and with the other (HD audio to AC3) you can enable avchd-compliant audio mode.
MKV files with HD audio or with DTS audio will get their audio converted to LPCM or AC3 - formats which are a standard in AVCHD specs.

Hi deank,
during my attempt to rebuild my HD DVD of Bourne Ultimatum as BD with the help of multiAVCHD, I've noticed a few things worth mentioning:
1. Off-by-1-bug when loading MPLS:
When I load a playlist for a movie with multiple sub-titles in different languages, the language codes are assigned wrong by multiAVCHD. The sequence deu-deu-eng-eng ist turned into unk-deu-deu-eng
2. Menu bug with PowerDVD 7 (may be PowerDVD or multiAVCHD related)
The XMB-menu works fine the first time I select a movie/chapter from it. But when I select menu from running movie, I can't navigate the menu any longer. I need to press STOP and start the BD again in order to be able to navigate.
3. Non-US-Chars in filenames bug.
If one of the BD directory structures is placed below a directory with a non-US char (in this particular case A-Umlaut), the file name is not correctly passed to tsMuxer. Not a big issue, but one has to be careful in naming directories.
4. Issues with MPEG2/480i extras
The extras are encoded in MPEG2 and have a resolution of 480i. TsMuxer muxes them fine and I can play the resulting m2ts w/o any issues in VLC, but when I play the corresponding movie in PD7, the image remains black (the chapter thumbnails are created fine, though). I can't remember, if I had the force/fixe resolution switch on in multiAVCHD, this may be the source of the problem.
5. DaemonTools/PD7 size issue
Not at all related to multiAVCHD but may cause grieve to others, so I mention it:
During testing, I create BD images with ImgBurn and mount them with Daemon Tools Lite to play them with PD7. There are at two conditions when PowerDVD refuses to recognise the mounted image:
a) the size of the image is smaller than 8.5GB (DVD9) or
b) I have a blank in the volume label of the image.
So far, thanks for the program and keep up with development at breath-taking pace!

2... 4... 5...
PowerDVD is not the best software to test with and I do not support any problems which one may have while using multiAVCHD and testing/using PDVD. multiAVCHD is (mostly) for hardware players.
Try to use VirtualCloneDrive (or something alike).. not Daemon tools for mounting the iso. Other users reported problems with DTools and the inability of PDVD to play such .iso files.
Dean
p.s. (edit) A small test that can prove me right or wrong is to use the same .iso that PDVD has problems with and burn it to DVD/BD (depending on the options you used in multiAVCHD), play it in some stand-alone-player (SAP) and compare the results.
