Hi Dean,
I converted an AVI video file to HD H264/MPEG-4AVC with a must down load AVIsynth (convert audio) then burn to dvd. Work perfectly, my previous post was the timing corrupted (my bad was over looked).
Excellence application so far, helpful and quick answers for all users. Just like many others, I will future continue donation. Again BIG THANKS.

Here are some of the latest updates since June 2nd:
Build 653:
* You can add mp2/mp3/dts/wav/ac3/pcm/flac audio for welcome screen
* You can add wav/flac as external audio tracks in Title Properties
* Added 48000hz conversion for imported/converted audio tracks
* You can now drag&drop audio files to the application window to be added as audio-titles
********
Build 652:
* Added experimental/initial support for audio titles in multiAVCHD (as I promised few months ago)
* You can now create audio-AVCHD / audioBD discs or mix audio-only tracks/titles with video titles
* mlp/mp2/mp3/ac3/dts/wav/pcm/lpcm/flac formats are supported. (certain restrictions apply <=4GB for MLP and FLAC->LPCM)
You can create a compilation:
* with or without menu
* with chapter marks in each song (for faster browsing)
* with black background for each audio title
* with custom background + Title name + Duration for each title
* and have tracks play sequentially
* and quit / loop playback after the last title
* Poster image can be used for audio-title background
* Custom chapters can be loaded/edited for audio-title
* Language ID for audio track can be changed
FLAC will be converted to AC3 if "TrueHD to LPCM" option is not checked, otherwise it will be converted to LPCM (a better way to keep its quality).
DTS, AC3, WAV, PCM/LPCM are not reprocessed/reencoded but added 'as is'.
MP3/MP2/FLAC files are reencoded to AC3/LPCM and sampling rate is changed to 48000 if not reported or if < 48000.
********
Build 651:
* Internal VobSub subtitles are now supported for MKV files (S_VOBSUB or VOB in internal subtitles tab) and as external for all other types.

* Fixed NC titles green-bar removal (PS3)
********
Build 646 (full download):
* uncropMKV updated to version 1.0
* uncropMKV: added proper support for 720x480/720x576 depending on source fps or Change FPS option
* multiAVCHD: added proper support in Title Properties/UNCROP for 720x480/720x576 depending on source fps or Change FPS option

* updated German and Chinese translations
* Added "Delay" option for Internal audio streams in Title properties
********
Build 643:
For security/safety reasons all builds prior 643 are disabled!
Download the complete package: http://multiAVCHD.deanBG.com/download/
********
Build 640:
* improved uncrop/resize functionality for PAL and NTSC modes (depending on TV system setting in Author tab)

********
Build 638:
Now you have much better uncrop/resize/re-encode options (compared to uncropMKV). "Uncrop" button is added in "Title properties".
http://multiAVCHD.deanbg.com/multiAVCHD_uncrop.jpg
Each MKV/MP4 file can be re-encoded to meet AVCHD/Blu-ray video requirements.
********
Build 637 (full download):
* uncropMKV updated to 0.9
* uncropMKV does not depend on mkvinfo and all troubles with non-english installations of mkvtoolnix should be gone
* popBD removed from full-package (still depends on mkvinfo)
* updated Italian, German, Spanish and Chinese languages
* multiAVCHD now properly cleans TEMP folder after itself
********
Build 637:
* Added audio information in XMB menu
* Fixed (again) DVD import (missing audio tracks)
* Added option in Video&Audio tab: Do not import DVD titles and AVCHD/BD playlists if shorter than (s)
********
Build 636:
* Few bugs fixed for DVD folder/title/ifo import
* Portuguese (Brazilian) translation added
* Added support for Panasonic Viera (NTSC) and NTSC camcoders.
CLI parameter for viera (ntsc) is /vieraNTSC
CLI parameter for viera (pal) is /vieraPAL or /viera
********
Build 635:
* Fixed a bug, rarely manifesting itself when using up/down in media tab to rearrange the titles (thanks to gty)
* Polish translation included in the full download package and updated German/Italian/French
********
Build 634:
True CLI mode for multiAVCHD_CLI.exe included in FULL DOWNLOAD package. It will behave as a normal CLI application, but will show the GUI while processing. CLI version will not be updated by auto-update.
* Added CLI support (command line interface) to multiAVCHD.exe
* Added stand-alone CLI executable - multiAVCHD_CLI.exe (in full download)
Syntax:
multiAVCHD.exe /ps3|viera|vieraPAL|vieraNTSC|panasonic|avchd|bluray [/nomenu] [/nowelcome] [/addAVCHD] [/destination folder_name] input_files
or
multiAVCHD_CLI.exe /ps3|viera|vieraPAL|vieraNTSC|panasonic|avchd|bluray [/nomenu] [/nowelcome] [/addAVCHD] [/destination folder_name] input_files
Options explained:
/ps3 - same as using Playstation3 output
/viera - same as using VieraTV (PAL) output
/vieraPAL - same as using VieraTV (PAL) output
/vieraNTSC - same as using VieraTV (NTSC) output
/panasonic - same as using Panasonic Blu-ray players SDHC output
/avchd - same as using AVCHD for optical media
/bluray - same as using Blu-ray for BD-R/RE output mode
If none of these 5 is used, multiAVCHD will not go into auto-processing mode.
/nomenu - no top menu will be created (ignored in /viera and /panasonic modes)
/nowelcome - no welcome screen will be created (ignored in /viera and /panasonic modes)
/addAVCHD - will create AVCHD folder inside the folder you set for DESTINATION
/destination folder_name - output folder for your compilation. If doesn't exist it will be created.
Using either /destination F:\PRIVATE\AVCHD or /addAVCHD /destination F:\PRIVATE will result in the same outcome - F:\PRIVATE\AVCHD will contain your BDMV folder.
input_files - you can add file_names and folder_names at the end of the command line. They will be added.
The simplest call in auto mode could look like this (for multiAVCHD.exe and multiAVCHD_CLI.exe):
* multiAVCHD.exe /ps3 movie.mkv (for any file)
* multiAVCHD.exe /ps3 M:\VIDEO_TS\ (for any DVD folder)
* multiAVCHD.exe /ps3 R:\XYZ\multiAVCHD.mpf (for multiAVCHD project file)
* multiAVCHD.exe /ps3 Z:\Series\24\ M:\VIDEO_TS\ d:\test\movie.mkv r:\dvd\VTS_01_0.IFO (folder with files + DVD Disc + file + largest DVD title import)
Loading a project file overrides all, but you can use:
* multiAVCHD.exe /ps3 R:\XYZ\multiAVCHD.mpf M:\XYR\multiAVCHD.mpf "D:\test\my project.mpf"
and all three projects will be loaded (merged) and processed... Too many variations exist, so you can ask if you need help.
If no /nomenu /destination /nowelcome options are used, output (destination) along with all other options will be used from the .ini file (the way you see the settings in the GUI).
Output mode parameter (/ps3 in this case) is mandatory. If not present (i.e. none of these: /ps3 /viera /panasonic /avchd /bluray) - multiAVCHD will use normal interactive mode and multiAVCHD_CLI.exe will exit with ERROR message.
If multiAVCHD.exe is called from a batch file (.bat / .cmd), batch file will continue it's execution immediately following the call to multiAVCHD.exe - i.e. it won't wait for it to compete and exit - hence the 'semi-cli' functionality.
If multiAVCHD_CLI.exe is used in batch file, batch file will wait for multiAVCHD_CLI to finish and then will continue forward with next batch commands - this is a true-CLI functionality.
********
Build 631/632:
* Fixed a bug with MPEG audio in MPEG, TS, M2TS... files. multiAVCHD now processes the audio correctly.
* Added drop-down list to choose GUI language in Settings. Full download includes German, French, Chinese and Spanish language files.
* Added WARNING message (because of some lame users) when trying to process MPEG/MPG files, which are in fact MKV or something else, but they renamed the file, or got it downloaded from who knows where. Don't blame multiAVCHD for your ignorance and stupidity! :)

********
Build 630:
Added support for new language files. You can download the original English file from the message in the "localization" thread.
********
Build 629:
* Fixed crashing of Nero Showtime with Slide and Carousel menu types
* A small fix for Cela's chapter format.
* A new option in "Video&Subtitles" tab: [x] Add auto chapter at title end.
If you uncheck it, multiAVCHD will not add the last (duration-1sec) chapter when you click the [auto] button in title properties/chapter files or when auto-creates chapters for loaded files without such (internal).
********
Build 628:
* Fixed a small bug with welcome screen configuration (close on any click)
* Restored PCM audio support in TS/M2TS files (you may have to use multiUPDATE for the fix)
* Added [x] No reflections functionality for SLIDE menu (you can disable reflections)
* Added [-] Create chapter thumbnails functionality for SLIDE menu (you can turn off the gray bar)
* Menu PREVIEW for XMB now shows all information about the compilation (i.e. the final look) - video/audio/subtitle count/etc...
* "Verifying title..." process will report the actual audio and subtitle tracks present in the outputted title
* Added support for Scenarist chapter format
* Added auto-loading of both *.txt and *.chp text based chapter files
* Added support for chapter files in format: HH:MM:SS.MMM[space][free text]. Full format required (with milliseconds)
********
Build 627/627+
* Fixed wrongly identified audio track IDs, causing tsmuxer to lock or "tsmuxer didn't like..." message
* 2 options added in tsMuxeR tab:
[x] Insert sequence parameter sets (contSPS)
[x] Insert enhancement information (insertSEI)
Do not uncheck these two if you do not understand their functions and meaning.
Unchecking the second (insertSEI) helps processing of:
* .ts files with H.264 video and AC3/DTS audio created by FinalCut Pro, or
* .ts files renamed to .trp with H.264/MPEG-2 video and MPEG/AC3/DTS audio created by FinalCut Pro

I think it is explained :)
1) Create a folder
2) Put your m2ts/mts files inside this folder
3) Start multiAVCHD
4) Drag the folder to multiAVCHD
5) Prompt will appear asking you if you want to join the files
6) Click "OK" and wait for the merge
7) Go to "Title properties" for the merged title and load/use the chapters

The joined .m2ts is to be played within a Blu-ray/AVCHD compilation, not by itself. PCH does not support AVCHD playback, so I doubt there is much you can do.
tsDemux has an option to create parameters for MKV file creation (with mkvmerge) so you can give it a try, instead of using multiAVCHD.

I copied m2ts files straight to a DVD-9 disc and it works fine. But when I created an AVCHD folder on a DVD-9 disc using AVCHD, it showed me error 80029946 - This video cannot be played. A search reveals that the error means the following:
"Attempting to play burnt Dual layer NTSC disc on a Pal ps3."
But I have an NTSC PS3. And like I said before the m2ts files play fine as data files on the DVD-9 disc.
Any help would be appreciated.

This might be a silly question, but why do soo many people encode non-AVCHD compliant MKVs? For example why would someone encode a movie at 1280x526 instead of 1280x720?
I find myself constantly having to re-encode/uncrop stuff before I can load it up in AVCHD. Sure, uncropMKV is a nice app for this, but it takes like 6 hours to uncrop one movie.

They cropped the video during re-encoding in order to maximize quality within limited disc space, usually with DVD-5 as target in mind.

They cropped the video during re-encoding in order to maximize quality within limited disc space, usually with DVD-5 as target in mind.
That's actually a silly reason; Try 2 different encodes, one with and one without black bar. x264 is so efficient, that the final size of the encode will only differ very little. I.e. encoding a static black bar doesnt take up much space at all.
Is there no way to uncrop those files without a very slow re-encode?

Here. (http://www.avchd-info.org/format/index.html)
SD - Standard definition
720x480i - NTSC
720x576i - PAL
HD - High definition
1280x720p
1440x1080 (i/p)
1920x1080 (i/p)
xD - Future Extra High definition
3840x2160 (with future equipment)
7680x4320 (with future equipment)
multiAVCHD will not force you to reencode/uncrop anything, but of course if you see the 'distortion may occur' line then you can use the built in function to reencode and get your video to the proper specs.

I'm using a SDHC card.
I have an MKV file in 1280x528 - H.264 (MPEG-4 AVC) - aspect ratio 2.42:1 with DTS audio.
I processed it with multiAVCHD but when I copy it to my SDHC card and attempt to play it on the Panasonic BD-35, I can play the clip just fine - and I can hear the audio - but the screen is black. There is no image.
Are there any AVCHD settings I should be aware of in such an instance?

Thanks.
I think that not the resolution but the audio is your problem.
1) You have DTS audio and it is not part of AVCHD standard
2) You need to enable [x] Use eac3to
3) You need to enable [x] Convert DTS to AC3
Once your output compilation complies with AVCHD you will have no problems playing it in your Panasonic (using SDHC).
Take a tour to all tabs in multiAVCHD to get acquainted with all the options.

My I do an avchd with one shot on miniDV on SD (so avi file)of a concert where tha audio was captured at 24 bits 88Khz wav ?
What I would like is to mantain the quality of the avi file avoiding the mpeg2 render and the audio too, I mean , from the authored AVCHD disc my sammy 2500 could output from digital outputs the original audio files without downsampling or lowering definition (16 bits at the place of original 24 bits).
If this is possible can you suggest to me what must I do to the avi file to be ready to be authored with your tool?
Thanks for your advice

If you can suggest faster settings for pass one I can add them.
Not really sure what your script looks like but maybe you can try "subme 1" for the first pass and what every you normally use for the second.

AVI is a container. What is the video? "Digital Video"? What is it?

I'm using subme 5 so I guess I can change it if you're sure it won't affect quality.

Should be fine with 1 on first pass, I believe megui uses a similar setting. Maybe you can add a tick box for fast 1st pass if people prefer 5 on both passes.

I changed it to subme 1 for the first pass. You can get the change with multiUPDATE.
I did few tests and 1st pass is 40-50% faster + the final size is a bit smaller, which is good + the quality is not compromised (if one can say that when reencoding :) )

p.s. Thanks for the hint and the suggestion!
