Hi deank,
why do you do "copy" from the temp folder to the AVCHD folder? why not "move", copying is really slow, and these are very large size files.
Thanks,
deank
6th January 2009, 11:14
Because there was sometimes problems with locked files when doing MOVE...
Anyway....
Bad news: my computer crashed and I lost my multiAVCHD source. The latest backup is from build 94, while current build is 113.
A lot to catch-up with and I really hate it. Build 94 was before adding drag&drop, .ts files import and LITE version, so it may be a while before the next update.

will you consider adding a "move" option?
copying 4Gig of files can be verrrry slow...
Thanks!

Bummer :(
That's why backups are a necessary evil [space hogger] ;)
Might, on the other hand, also be a good idea to think about licences GPL / LPGL. I have no clue about licenses, but others on this forum can help out more i presume.
With a license you can (must) deliver the source with the builds. That way, you'll be able to retrieve the source, even after a crash [backing up remains a good idea though]. And also; Other developers can help out, and your software becomes more recognised as " your intellectual property".
But backing up your development on DVD-RW once in a while is probably the easiest :)

Once again Dimitris (dhmk) saved the day!
He somehow rebuilt my source directly from the .exe so I'm back on track :)
And in next update MOVE FILES will be enabled.

I always do backup on second partition and on second harddrive. I also send my sources to internet account. I would probably kill my self if I lost all my sources! (2 years of work). You can create simply .bat to automate backup.

I just created such bat file to copy everything to my office computer, my home server and two other local destinations.
I almost got a heart attack this morning. :)

The more important files are in CLIPINF and PLAYLIST. Without proper playlist->clip->mts relation nothing's gonna work.
burro08
6th January 2009, 22:08
thats all there for example there are six m2ts files so there are six CLIPINF files and 1 00000.mpls file in the playlist folder

You're right. Some folders were misplaced - it is also fixed.
You might want to update the NTSC Lite package, since it still uses the .exe that creates wrong folder place (some folders outside, instead of inside, BDMV folder.
Great App!

Did a 7 title with the current .exe and the lite NTSC. Log says 7 titles found, 7 srt found... but only 5 titles copied to the BDMV folder from the TEMP folder. I checked all 7 .mkvs are all ps3-compliant h264 files. Before using mAVCHD, I made individual m2ts of these 7 mkvs and copied them over to the ps3 HD. They all play nicely there.
Perhaps a problem in the copying process from TEMP folder to destination folder?

Okay.. i got the general idea.
mediainfo shows chapters in an easier fashion, so no need to use mkvextract, which requires additional dlls and stuff..
tho i may have to include mkvextract to my package to extract audio tracks that are not compatible with avchd standard and reencode them with eac3to.
let me work on it and you'll have it in next release with two options in authoring
[o] Use original chapters (if none found, auto chapters will be added)
[o] Add auto chapters each [....] minutes

Sometimes _TEMP has a full AVCHD/BD in there sometimes it doesn't. I've tried to check and uncheck move files, and check and uncheck top menu. This happened on 2 different mkvs that used to work, on 2 different boxes, vista 64 and xp 32. Any ideas?

Okay... quick update - something most of you will enjoy:
[x] Apply standard height to video in tsMuxer tab.
If your input MKV is not AVCHD compliant, multiAVCHD will set new height value in CLPI na MPLS files - value which is next compliant resolution. In other words: if your mkv height is <480 it will be set at 480p, if >480 and <576 will be set to 576, etc.
This should help most SAPs to play non standard resolution videos, and now PLAYSTATION3 will show subtitles with these non standard resolutions.
Still you may have artifacts at the bottom of the screen.
Bugfix: audio and subtitle tracks from one title were unnecessarily added to the next title. It is okay now.
Credits go to a fellow bulgarian for pointing it out to me.

SPAM!!!
About your new resizing option; does this apply to ~528p->720p and ~800p-->1080p? And when you say artifacts, do you mean the huge hideous green bar (for 2.35:1 ratios)?
Keep up the good work.
deank
8th January 2009, 14:01
Yes, next compliant resolution. ~528p will become 576p
height<480 = 480p
480<height<576 = 576p
576<height<720p = 720p
720<height<1080 = 1080p
Nothing can be done for the annoying green bar, yet, but this way subtitles are shown and saps play it better.
----
Later I will rework the way *TS files are imported, because now it seems to have problems with audio out-of-sync or not importing properly at all. Everything is fine with MKV so far.
Forrest
8th January 2009, 14:45
Yes, next compliant resolution. ~528p will become 576p
why not adjust the resolution according to the width?
if width=1280 -> height=720
if width=1920 -> height=1080
