Thanks for your idea! I never got a chance to use your linux alternative. I do most work on windows. Linux is mainly a server setup and forget it os for me.

Added new option in authoring tab:

[x] Show non-existent titles (for LITE menu only)

If checked - first menu page will show Titles #1 - #6 as in previous builds.

If unchecked - first menu page will show only needed titles.

Latest version is working great again. Any reason why you chose 6 as the number of actual titles in the first menu. I wonder if this can be expended to say 10 and two rows of 5? If I add 9 will it show 20 in the menus?

it is 5 title, not six. i just picked a number. and because it is compatible with previous releases. making it more than five would requre rewriting of the code and incompatibility with any previous releases.

i may implement it in next version. no updates before monday. my flight has more than 4 hours delay and ilm not sure when i'll be back home.

And there is no title menu at all - only the main page with MULTIAVCHD. And the disk starts by playing the first title at a glance. Show non-existent titles unchecked.
Why?

One more question : what the option Sequental title playback gives?

After last update the error i reported was gone. Very nice application.

Questions :-)

1 - How can i order the files, i've used 2 mkv, namedxxx-01.mkv and xxx-02.mkv and they appeared inverted in the menu.

2 - Can i change the names in the Menu?

Currently not available but should be made available in a future release. No idea how soon.

Hi Deank, is posible add the function of keep all subtilte tracks like the audio tracks?

Is posible when the mkv had 1 subtitle track and a srt file separated, but the second subtile info displays undetermined..

deank
17th January 2009, 12:32
@Glorioso: Use media tab, and up/dn buttons to reorder.

@had-z: all srt tracks inside mkv are kept;

if you select the checkbox Add SRT subtitles then external srts are added too
if checkbox SSA subtitles is checked then ssa subs inside mkv are converted to srt and added.

I don't understand your question.

The problem is: if the Mkv have 2 or more subtitle tracks,
the program only include the first track when compile the project..

The option of add srt from mkv folder is fine, but in this subtitle the languaje is not displayed...
-The perfect option is implement a option to include all subtitle tracks (same option for the audios, but for the subtitles)

Sorry for my bad english Again...:thanks:

It should support up to 10 different subtitles. Can you check again if the subtitles in your mkv are either SSA/PGS or UTF8. Otherwise they won't be included.

(And you can send me the log)

deank
17th January 2009, 19:17
I don't know. [Bulgarian] shows as "Others" despite it is set with proper 3 letter id and available in Blu-Ray options of PS3.

edit: external srt subtitles cannot be ID'd as they carry no language options. I may add option to check last letters of a srt name... if it is movie.LNG.srt multiAVCHD could search for .LNG. and set proper 3 letter ID.

Thanks, that works but the subtitles are not being displayed in PowerDVD8 - the Primary + Secondary Subtitle right-click options are grayed-out. The subtitle file is a SRT, it has the same exact name as the AVCHD file, and it is being detected and added by multiAVCHD (1.5 b201).

The idea behind multiavchd is to play videos in SAPs and PS3, although PCs tend to play almost anything. I cant test with powerdvd, just nero showtime. I'll try to check with PDVD monday

Hi Deank,
it seams that AVCHD/BDMV structures are not copied/moved with tsmuxer while using your tool. I expected that such structures are made Fat32 compliant during copying/moving. This means that the data must be splitted with tsmuxer before using your tool. Would it be possible to add a functionality? The usecase is that someone uses the tool to get some movies onto Fat32 media. Ideally the target folder is already on the Fat32 media. Wouldn't it be possible to use tsmuxer to copy (incl. split) AVCHD/BDMV data to the target drive? It would not take much longer than copying the media to that drive. I could imagine an option which is linked with the target folder definition where you can define that this folder must be Fat32 compliant (max. 4GB files).

Regards.
M.

As I tried a BDMW structure with some files greater than 4 GB the copy process of multiAVCHD stopped with an error message. M2TS split on TsMuxer tab is defined with 3999. Is there another option which must be activated?

I deank,
I think that you have a problem with movies with resolutions of 1280x536, 1280x544 and 1280x534, i.e., movies with maximum vertical resolution of 576p. You detect that the best output will be a 576p film and that results on playing the movies not in HD but in SD. I'm having this problem with my PS3 connected to a Sony FullHD LCD.
I think that you should force a HD resolution of 720p or 1080p and not having the ability of choosing SD resolutions.

No, there is not. The option is for MKV->AVCHD conversion only. When and IF I decide I may implement input AVCHD splitting.

Funny post :) really. Read again what I've posted. (http://forum.doom9.org/showpost.php?p=1235782&postcount=309) I don't "detect" anything, nor I decide either your PS3 will play anything at any resolution. I too, not force SD instead of HD, nor I will answer to similar posts anymore. For best AVCHD compatible results use COMPATIBLE INPUT.

And, NO, I personally don't have "problems" :) with movies... with ANY movie.

Hi Deank,

Now all is going smoth - 3 source .ts files = 3 titles in the film.
But no menu titles - only the initial screen with MULTIAVHCD. Any button pressed gives no action. I have to call Title search menu and put manually the title number I need.

Built 201, authoring options are Create top menu, Light / static menu and all three options in the right column are checked, others are not.

Why?

deank
18th January 2009, 01:14
I don't know why. I tested on PAL PS3 and it works with FULL-PAL download - also with LITE-PAL download. Check what video-system you selected in drop down menu in Authoring.

If nothing helps - just use the former versions menu - check [x] Show non-existent titles in the same authoring tab.

I'd suggest you DELETE your MULTIAVCHD folder and download PALFULL again.

I suggested to use

[x] Show non-existent titles

Check it and try again. It will be easier to test with USB instead of burning disk.

Also try with PAL/NTSC in drop-down, or delete _MENUSTR\00002.litePAL1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.

Somewhere in the LOG tab you should see:

[12:49:42] Preparing authoring information...
[12:49:42] Copying 1 sec blank video data.
[12:49:42] Creating static/lite top PAL menu.
