Hi Dean
1) How to import jpg file as background for the movie if I use MPLS to add movie?
2) How to rename subtitle/audio language ID if subtitle/audio embedded in video file?
Thanks

Why did you modify my idea? Text must be centered. Why did you remove arrows? I gave ready to use script.
It was supposed to be like this

It was a beta screenshot...
Text is centered.
Arrows - i can put them back, but they will not be high-lighted when moving left/right... not chapter marker...
I can of course start from scratch and remove the carousel menu. Just be more patient... it is not as easy as creating an avisynth script.

Hey guys, whats up ? I got a question about this software ... I'm still a n00b at this stuff, so please bear with me :P
When making a PS3 Compatible AVCHD Disc, is it possible to change the Title of the Disc with multiAVCHD ? I mean, when I insert an AVCHD Disc in my PS3, it just says 'AVCHD' next to the disc icon. Is it possible to change this to a more meaningful name?
Thanx in advance :D
deank

No, it is not possible. If you're using BD-R/RE then it can be done, but not with DVD discs.

Here is how it looks now:

I need some more time with the navigation and later I'll post the new version. It will require full download or DAT update however.

No worries. I hope you did not change anything in my script (values, colors and so on)
BTW. I see no text/time on left side.
Question: Do we really need that info box in right top corner?
deank
21st May 2009, 19:21
There is text on the left side now... Infobox is from tmt... once i'm done i'll change the screenshot.
I changed font size, because 60 was too big... + you can't expect it to be 100% as in your script and unmodifiable.
I took your idea about it but if you insist that everything is kept 100% as you suggested, I'd rather do something different and not worry about complaints and stuff. Classic, THM and XMB are good enough for me.

you can't expect it to be 100% as in your script and unmodifiable.
Wouldn't be easier to simply import main template and inject in specific places necessary values?
BTW. Don't get me wrong. I appreciate your work. Maybe I'm too precise but like everything in order.

But I love also the way you build this additional carousel thing. I only would suggest, that you stay on "Dean´s rails" ... you do not have to copy/plagiate things from others.

Use UP/DOWN to go to chapters. A small arrow will appear in the bottom of the screen.

Build 606:
Two options added in Author tab:
[x] Use custom background for carousel menu
[x] No reflections for carousel menu
1st option will allow you to make multiAVCHD use the background image, selected in Menu tab.
2nd option disables reflections - useful with custom background (speeds up menu generation about 5 to 10 times)
Headline, Footer and [x] Show build and time in footer now apply to carousel menu, too.

Try to use standard ASCII characters for your folders.
I see that ep3 name is replaced with ep1 name - but probably not the content itself. You can check in Title Properties.
You're not seriously expecting that XviD/DivX will work, are you?

I would like to make a AVCHD disk from some HDV files from my camcorder. These have the extension .m2t and they are (I think) transport streams having 25 Mbps MPEG2 (1080i) and 384 kbps Mpeg 1 Layer 2 audio.
I was not able to load in the HDV file (not a recognized file extension, I guess). I could load it, if I just renamed it to .ts instead of .m2t.
The final disc worked ok for video, but there was no audio with the movie (silent). Eac3to apparently failed to convert the audio, is there any way to get this to work?

Why don't you rename it to .m2ts and try again? You can try to rename it to .trp, too
Here (http://www.sendspace.com/file/ktzc52) is another TS sample with problems. Have 2 audio (AC3 and MP2) and 2 subtitles (one teletext type and one DVB subtitle). Please test it. VLC cand display both audio and both subtitles.

@Mtz: I just tried ALL samples that you've sent the other day.
Now ALL work with perfect audio-sync, but two things are necessary:
1) Rename .ts to .trp (if it is a DVR recording)
2) Use tsMuxeR 1.9.9 - the one included in multiAVCHD since build 602 - just do a FULL download to be sure you have my configuration.
tsMuxeR 1.10.x has problems with .ts and subtitles in some 25fps videos.
http://multiavchd.deanbg.com/multiAVCHD_trps.jpg
The only one with problems is the 'eurovision' capture, but it is a bad cut anyway.

Hi Deank, excellence software. Today I tested the MKV video and burned to dvd and it works with my panasonic bd-60. My mistake before was not let the ImgBurn to select file to burn before. One thing left is the subtitle is not show up on the screen. I have SRT file with the same name as video file (I checked to Add SRT subtitle on the same directory with the MKV video).
Help what I did wrong that the subtitle didn't show.

Hi Dean,
thank you for your great work!
I did some tests with importing playlists of the main movie. I checked the box at 'keep all audio tracks', because I want the german track (which is not always the first). The result is quite big.
So, in the first step I use tsmuxer to extract the main movie and the wanted german audio track. The result is imported in muliAVCHD and I got a much smaller (less 5-7GB) output.
Tsmuxer is already used by multiAVCHD, so I wonder if there is a posibility to extract only certain audio tracks within multiAVCHD, so that I get a smaller output and omit the first step.

...the subtitle is not show up on the screen.
1) Check "Offset" it Muxer tab.
2) Make sure you're using latest multiAVCHD with tsmuxer 1.9.9 (NOT a later version!)
So, in the first step I use tsmuxer to extract the main movie and the wanted german audio track.
Tsmuxer is already used by multiAVCHD, so I wonder if there is a posibility to extract only certain audio tracks within multiAVCHD, so that I get a smaller output and omit the first step.
Not at the moment. Once I implement all things I want in "Title properties" you'll be able to select individual audio tracks to be kept, and also subtitle streams.

* Background transparency
* Greyscale background
* Smart line message
Those options destroy whole carousel idea. Reflections emulate shiny surface so covers do not look like flying objects in air. background image emulates wall. Can't you see that Carousel with custom background looks like garbage. If user don't like black color I can create brighter alternative version. Also I don't like footer enabled by default. Used font does not fit to whole concept.
Sorry but I had to say that. I can not watch when good project is being destroyed by stupid features!

BTW. I see no information who was behind carousel idea.
If you are that proud of your marvellous carousel design, why didn't you implemented it by yourself?
Sorry, Atak: "De gustibo non disputandum", but there is a common sense about attitude - and yours is beyond the latter.
@dean: thanks for your great work again.

I did implement my idea! First concept was made in Corel PhotoPaint.

Then I managed to port whole idea into avisynth script! Deank got everything ready on plate.

[QUOTE=deank;1288658]1) Check "Offset" it Muxer tab.
2) Make sure you're using latest multiAVCHD with tsmuxer 1.9.9 (NOT a later version!)
Hi Deank, I leave the defaul on the Muxer tab. And I used the lastest multiAVCHD v2.7 (built 606)

Nice. I just tried some clips, changed the TS extension to TRP. Two videos supposed to have subtitles:
CANAL PLus 2 Audio 2 subtitles.trp
CANAL PLus 2 Audio 2 subtitles.sup
I checked Add external srt/sup subtitles, but I see no subtitle.

I need to add subtitle support for TRP import. I'll look into it later
Dean, one question - when converting to PS3 compatable the files sizes dont split to 4 gig for fat32 or am I missing something...
You're missing something. Files split. If you import AVCHD folders in m2ts-join-mode they split.
Those options destroy whole carousel idea.
I don't like footer enabled by default. Used font does not fit to whole concept.

1) You can disable footer in just one click of the mouse. You can change footer font in another click.
2) All "Carousel" options by default produce exactly your design. It is up to the user to decide either to keep it or not.
3) When people request features and I decide to add them in multiAVCHD I'd rather not qualify them as "stupid". A "feature" is something that can be used or not but still available to user's choice.
multiAVCHD is a program not for you and not for me only.
Please do not insult me or the people, who contributed to this project for the last half year. If one day you add this menu-style to RipBot, I'll remove it from multiAVCHD. But for now, after 100 hours of implementing it I don't think of removing it just because you want it kept 100% unmodifiable.
Hi Deank, I leave the default on the Muxer tab. And I used the lastest multiAVCHD v2.7 (built 606)
Download the FULL SETUP (http://multiavchd.deanbg.com/download.php), not just the updated .exe.
****
Build 607+:
* Preview for CAR menu is available
* Preview for XMB menu now shows bordered thumbs if option is used

You must be aware that a 'concept' of something and a 'realization' of something are two different things.
Importing your avisynth script in multiAVCHD took 1 hour. Making multiAVCHD use it took 30 hours and then another 30 hours to make a functional carousel menu.
I do not belittle your contribution, but please appreciate mine.
