MPC-BE crashes when I play the 8k version (downloaded mp4 file) of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sLprVF6d7Ug
But it plays fine in Browser.
EDIT:

I did not encounter the problem
Video played very comfortably;)

The problem with YUY2 and UYVY is "fixed" in r2712.
Wow, thanks a lot for fixing the Nvidia's 4:2:2 chroma upscaling in EVR-CP mode :thanks:
Why can't EVR/EVR-CP output in P210 mode? =/

@P.J
Support for EVR input formats depends on the video card and drivers.

I've seen a feature in some forums that downscales photos automatically.I think, its not just about the size in pixrls, but also everyone watching the topic will have to dl the pictures or have pictures blocked. For those with low bandwidth and on limited data plans (mobile), thats not so nice.

Hi,
I tried MPC-BE (version 1.5.1 build 2548 beta) today for the first time (coming from MPC-HC) and have a few questions:
1. How do I configure the automatically shown subtitles to be only those of foreign languages and default/forced ones? My native language is German, so I only want to see German subtitles if they are default/forced, but I always want to see English subtitles. MPC-HC worked this way but I can't figure it out with MPC-BE, neither with the internal filters nor with LAV.
2. Is there a way to make the seek preview "smoother"? It seems like there is a black frame just before each real frame that's shown, so it looks quite unsteady.
3. Is there a preferred "sync x to y" option for the MPC Audio Renderer when used with madVR?
4. How can I use the MPC-HC Windows Explorer icons with MPC-BE? I replaced the mpciconlib.dll file but it seems like it isn't used (always shows the same MPC-BE icon, even if the format icons option is checked).
Anyone please?

I can use BlockVSFilter to load Bulit-in sub filter and xy-subfilter at the same time in MPC-HC. So I can load two subtitles.
But in MPC-bE I can not find BlockVSFilter anywhere, even in regedit. Is there any way to load two subtitles?
Please help me,thanks.

r2741 and an earlier build or two crashes immediately when entering D3D fullscreen exclusive mode. It causes a crash in the display driver, basically both screens I have goes to static like you see on old analogue TV with no single, except finer and some colour specks, then the display looks like it tries to reset a couple of times, then the GSOD appears with video_tdr_error.
If I use an earlier revision, such as 2728, it works fine! I'm not sure which build the issue started on, 2738 does the same thing, so I went back to one I knew definitely worked.

I made a mistake with the cause of the issue. It was the enhanced sync setting in the new Crimson 17.7.2. It only occurred on the TV and not on the main monitor. Probably a driver bug, main monitor is freesync, I wasn't willing to play around with it and find out if disabling that and changing other things help. It's interesting that later versions trigger it straight away and earlier versions took a little longer. Disabling enhanced sync it works properly.
Edit: No further issues, new enhanced sync type vsync in the driver setting was the cause. This for me is the only thing that doesn't seem to work with it. The older revisions there was a delay before the issue, latest nightly it occurs straight away. Also using madVR, so probably a combination of things.

How can I prevent moving the whole window by dragging inside the video area? This behavior is very annoying because it happens by accident when I only want to play/pause with a click.
In MPC-HC this was possible by changing the play/pause command to "Left Down" instead of "Left Up" (see Trac ticket (https://trac.mpc-hc.org/ticket/4956)) but this doesn't work for MPC-BE. Both settings allow dragging inside the video area.
While testing this I also found other problems:
* If the play/pause command is set to "Left Down" it still only plays/pauses when I release the button in windowed mode. But in fullscreen mode it correctly plays/pauses on button down. (Yes, I made sure that both settings are set to the same value.)
* If the play/pause command is set to "Left Up" I can't play/pause in fullscreen mode at all. Windowed mode works fine.
I'm already using the new version 1.5.1 (build 2755) beta.

Previously, a pause in the window worked by pressing a key. But users insistently asked that you can move the window by pulling the frame. Therefore, this was altered.
cremor
2nd August 2017, 19:00
Couldn't you implement it like MPC-HC so that the user has the option to choose? Although a new, seperate option would be better in my opinion since the MPC-HC behavior with different key bindings isn't intuitive at all.
