@Pat78 - if you play YouTube a lot, you might want to try the filter 3DYD. It works great with MPC-BE, handles Youtube/Vimeo/DailyMotion and others quite well, and is still receiving updates - https://ys.3dyd.com/download/
On another note, has anyone tried to play VP7 videos on MPC-BE recently? This worked up until recently but now the file opens with the right resolution but playback does not begin. This happens with internal MPC filters OR LAV filters. Here are some samples: http://samples.ffmpeg.org/V-codecs/VP7/
Any ideas?

I can not confirm. MPC-BE 1.5.1 (build 2339) beta.

The "file not found" error started a few weeks ago when YT changed something. Mainly Music Videos wouldn't play for me.
Whith 1.5.1 (build 2332) beta the problem was fixed.
Until this weekend when the "file not found" problem started again.
Today MPC-BE works flawlessly with Youtube again.
Maybe Youtube had traffic problems in my country over the weekend or something?

Could you add assfiltermod into the drop down box for subtitle renderers please? I still can't get MPC-BE 1737 to render with it for some reason.
how about know i think AssFilterMod is stable enough to add it in your beta version

as far as i know it still doesn't support multi subtitle pin input.
i don't even know if it is a planned feature.

The biggest problem is that subtitle renderers are assumed to handle all possible subtitle formats, while AssFilterMod only supports ASS, so as soon as you encounter a file with anything else, say PGS or VOBsubs, playback will likely fail entirely, which is hardly a good situation to be in.
Aleksoid1978

And another "big bug" - it's load/create a new copy of filter in graph for each subtitle's pin in source/splitter. It's very bad ...
huhn

yes one instance only supports one subtitle pin. but that's not a problem with lavfilter because lavfilter only expose one subtitle pin.

subtitle are not displayed but that's it. video playback is not interrupted or fail.
not optimal but not terrible.
more subtitle formats are planned:

MPC-BE don't need LAVFilters. When(if it's sometimes will be done) it's can accept multiple subtitles pin - maybe add support in MPC-BE.

Did something change between 2363 and 2364 that would cause ISO files not to play? Vervsion 2363 plays an ISO file mounted to Virtual CloneDrive and playing with madVR and LAV Filers and 2364 and beyond will not.

Hi everybody,
I save a H.264 video stream to a file "output.mp4" and want to watch this video with a few seconds delay. MPC-BE (v1.5.1) reads the video duration, e.g. 1:30 min, and stops playing at 1:30, although in the meantime the video length has increased to 3:00 min. Is it possible to force MPC to update the duration in a short interval and not to stop at 1:30?
Thanks for any hint.

Ok, thanks for your answer. I had some hope, because I saw MPC-BE sometimes updated the duration, but most times not. It never happened on duration < 5 min, and I have no idea what triggers this, but definitely I saw MPC updating the duration every ~10 sec.

MPC-BE can update duration "on the fly" only for MPEG-TS/PS files with changes file size.

With 200% scaling setting in windows the yellowish boxes like Options, Close, ... which appear when you move mouse over them are cut off at the bottom.
And there is a new feature added since the last stable release, which is in Options, but not when you rightclick -> View -> Zoom
May you please add it here, too.

This is not the same thing.
In one case, this is an option, and in the other, this is the command to resize the window.

Ahh, OK, I got it.
Another thing: I tried to playback native 10 bit per color content, but with built in filters I only got 8 bit per color in mixer according to display stats. What setting do I have to adjust?
Is 10 bit playback really only possible when using D3D fullscreen mode? Also on win10?
Do you fix the cut off boxes?

@Klaus1189
Display of tooltips fixed in r2440.
There are many limitations with the 10-bit output. First, you need a supported display. Secondly, you need a video card that can display 10-bit via Direct3D 9. As far as I know, some Nvidia Quadro and some gaming AMD were able to do this.
It seems the situation is better with Directx 11, but I have no experience. I will advise you to read "madVR 10-bit Display Support Test (https://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=172128)" thread.

EVR can output a2r10g10b10. using a fullscreen exclsuive mode.
not sure if consumer grade GPU are supporting this format. just use madVR.
and yes you need a dx10+ fullscreen exclusive surface to get 10 bit or more in the GPU driver.
be aware that nearly all UHD TV out there are 8 bit.

There is a nuance with the OS version. I always have X8R8G8B8 output with GTX 950 in Win7. And in Win8.1, I can see A2R10G10B10 output in the statistics. What is very strange, because Sumsung T220 is unlikely to work with 10-bit RGB.

https://msdn.microsoft.com/windows/hardware/drivers/display/ddi-changes-for-direct3d-version-9-drivers
The driver only receives requests to create resources with the D3DDDIFMT_A2B10G10R10_XR_BIAS format for full-screen flipping chains. The Desktop Windows Manager (DWM) handles windowed presentation of XR_BIAS in shader code.
So HDR might be possible to some degree 10 bit windowed ?

the display doesn't matter for 10 bit rendering. it is only send to the driver with 10 bit.
it is very easy to test EVR 10 bit with an AMD GPU but i don't have a AMD GPU build in any of my PCs right now.
if you are able to select 10 or 12 bit in the GPU driver than your display is able to process 10 or 12 bit.
i wouldn't be shocked if a T220 supports 10 bit input.

Hi, I'm new to this forum. Thanks for the continuous support of MPC-BE. I browsed through the forum but couldn't find my issue, hence I'm posting this. I'm facing problem playing a 4K file-The video is stuttering and the audio is trying to auto-sync every 5-10 secs since the video lags well behind audio. As I checked the "display stats" settings, I found that the bitrate is far too low than the original file. Im getting around 3-5fps while the video bitrate around 23 fps. And also the "sync-offset" seems to gradually decrease ie the "Min" keeps going to higher negative values as the video progress. It plays in DXVA2. I have DELL 7548 laptop with internal SSD, core i7-5500U, GPU R7 M265. I could easily play file sizes around 23GB but this one video has a file size around 34GB. MediaInfo is attached. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.:thanks:
