i cant play any TorrServer link？

It won't play without TorrServer (https://github.com/YouROK/TorrServer/releases) running. :D Some features were added to MPC-BE recently to support TorrServer similar way it already supported AceStream. TorrServer is usually run on a PC or device on LAN, it downloads torrent pieces sequentially and presents current cache in RAM as a media file served to the player on request via HTTP. TorrServer leeches changing cache content to the swarm while the torrent is played, but no local disk media copies are preserved or needed. Its convenient when local HDD space is restricted, or when using SSDs, flash, or permanent memory blocks with limited write & erase cycles. One can quickly preview, watch, or search & fast forward a movie without downloading first the entire copy. Its more robust than AceStream in 4K content watching. Currently TorrServer v1.1.68 seems the most stable with desktop players like MPC-BE.

As more folks wonder how to use TorrServer with MPC-BE, there's a small Russian Manual (https://forum.ru-board.com/topic.cgi?forum=5&topic=50330&start=149&limit=1&m=1#1) already in need of some update, but meanwhile hopefully can help someone. One can translate that page to their language with Chrome browser.

It's interesting to learn how these new player features work with international torrent trackers, and whether any bugs are observed or extra features desired? Just a reminder, its the player user sole responsibility to select lawful content for watching in their country. :)

It is in the plans.
If you have samples showing the benefits of dithering in comparing EVR-CP (dithering) vs MPC VR (no dithering), then I ask you to provide them to us.

I have a feature request for MPC Video Renderer:
I have relatives in other countries and continents which send me videos recorded with an Android or iOS device which was oriented vertical when filming (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dechvhb0Meo)
I beg to add support for Rotation flag in videos.

1. There is no ability to translate settings. But you can unofficially try to make a translation through the resource editor.
2. Frame rotation is not supported.

From build 4787 on, PGS subtitles in a BD ISO or BD folder can't be displayed. 4786 is just fine.

I know but it's publicity when you release a new version the news sites post it and people might try it, some also prefer to use relesse versions. Aim for a couple releases a year if not one or two more.

When repeatedly stroke left key (forward 4 seconds) during playback, the player will stuck eventually. It's bad since I will have to ctrl+Alt+Del to switch to another user in order to kill the player, when playback is in full-screen, in which case the Task Manager will not be visible.

Is it possible to fix it? I know watch a movie or show probably won't need it, but there're cases that do need to skip during playback, it would be really nice if this problem can vanish.

Can't reproduce. I very often using seeking when watch serials - all perfect.

1 - What version MPC-BE.
2 - Show filters when playback.
3 - Reset setting.

Probably you were not repeat frequently enough. It worked most of the time, until it hangs.

1 - 1.5.4.4792.x64
2 - I was using MPC Video Renderer, but the hang won't go away with other video renders, like madVR
3 - Will try it and see if it helps.

Indeed the devs added a whole set of new features to support torrents playback more comprehensively. Surprisingly, the player can auto-load subtitles in TV shows with multiple episodes. The setting is not very intuitive though: Options - Playback - Remember selected tracks in playlist. It covers both audio and subtitles. I suggested to separate them to make more obvious for users, but it works. :)

when playback is in full-screen, Task Manager will not be visible.
Try Alt+Tab to return to desktop.

For slow torrents, one can also stop episodes jumping on network error by deselecting Goto Next on Error in Playlist Context Menu, and adjust Network wait time for a torrent to start playing in Options - Player - Other.

One can put /add [HREF] in Arguments of External Application Button or similar transfer control app, and uncheck adding Quotes to arguments, to amend MPC-BE Playlist with a list of different torrents to play by pointing to their magnet links as shown in the above (http://forum.doom9.net/showpost.php?p=1886459&postcount=6724) Manual.

I also suggested to preserve TV Show and episode names in Recent files menu instead of direct torrent links, so a user could select the right one later. Another suggestion was to store torrent TV Show names in Favorites instead of their Episode names for easy selection later. Hopefully these features will be implemented one day, as its reasonably possible. ;)

The MPC VR works really nice now for me now.. very light and fast.. THX for the Updates...

Theres only one Thing bugging me..

I dint know if there are plans to add more stuff but an option for "Debanding" would be very nice...
Thats the only thing missing for me to makes this renderer an default for my Windows installations..

If there are no Plans for it, would there be a way to use debanding externaly? like with shaders or something...

WHat ever might be the Answer, Thanks for the Renderer and all teh work for it....

You need to open the properties of the active video decoder (see Play-> Filters->MPC Video Decoder).

And clarification needed. What does the "Larger only" exactly mean? My interpretation was "Only to shrink the videowindow to that percentage of screen when the video resolution is 'larger' than that of the screen". However, Wushantao's interpretation was "Only to make video window 'Larger' (until that percentage), but not to shrink any video window". It leads to two completely contradictory translations in the two versions.

"Larger only" setting prohibits increasing the frame size when the window is fit to the screen. The window will be fitted (reduced size), if only the frame size is large. :)

Tested v1.5.4.4799 (and r4805) with MKVs where attached font files have new mime types. Unlike the current stable v1.5.3, these new builds can handle "font/ttf" "font/otf" "font/sfnt" using the Matroska splitter :D

I'd like to request two additional supports: font/collection (https://www.iana.org/assignments/media-types/font/collection) (standardized type for TTC) and application/font-sfnt (https://www.iana.org/assignments/media-types/application/font-sfnt).

A .ttc file has one or more TTFs in it, a popular font format in China/Japan/Korea. TTC is already working fine in v1.5.3 if attached as "application/x-truetype-font" so just adding pF->FileMimeType == "font/collection" should be enough. Also, there are at least a few existing MKV files created (e.g. on Mac) before 2017 using application/font-sfnt, because that was IANA’s recommendation back then. While "application/x-font" added in r4799 is harmless and might be helpful in a rare situation, application/font-sfnt is more official and important - it was the standard mime type for TTF/OTF, and it still is an official alias of font/sfnt. Thanks again for helping out us subbers.
