1. Assignable keyboard shortcut for doubling current playrate (e.g. 1x->2x->4x->8x->etc)
2. Assignable keyboard shortcut for halving current playrate (e.g. 8x->4x->2x->1x->0.5x->0.25x->etc)

Is it possible to change the playback rate to 0.96x without pitch correction? (Or in other words PAL speed down)
It will be handy when I can't install Reclock on a public computer.

No.
Even if such a factor could be specified, I think the result would be unsatisfactory.
Better use of specialized tools.

I'm sure someone could write one that is. Without reclock I'm stuck using my internal HD530 graphics instead of my GTX950.

No.
IMHO, the option has the wrong description, but maybe I'm wrong. It would be better if Aleksoid1978 will explain how it works, he is the author of this feature.
Does anyone one knows what this option does? I asked one time in other thread but aleksoid only said that this don t change Work like reclock and don t change playback speed...

I'm having issues with seeking on an already loaded part of a youtube videos with MPC-BE, it makes my player freeze (can't do anything) until the video gets fully loaded (unless it's a very small seek). I use the latest nightly build (2254)
Also wouldn't it be possible to load the video from where you seek instead of seeking from the start only ?
Aleksoid1978

MPC-BE with internal filters when opened youtube - don't loading video, just playback directly from http/https. Seeking also working.
Show filters list when playback youtube link - Right Mouse Click -> Filters.

I did some testing. I have to enable the internal source filters for mp4 or webm to make the seeking work, it bugs when I don't use those (I use external lav filters).
BTW shouldn't the internal filters be in some dlls in a folder like MPC-HC instead of being in the exe ?

Thank you! This filter works great, it even support all kind of subtitles and DASH. I also use the firefox plugin "External Application Button 2" to launch embedded videos from the browser to the player.
To make it perfect, it would be great if the subtitles selection from lav splitter worked with it (I think it doesn't because subtitles are separate from the video) and if the image preview from MPC-BE when you hover the seek bar worked with it also. It would be the icing on the cake. Well I'm pretty happy so far :)

I have switched from MPC-HC x64 to MPC-BE x64 a week ago but I have a problem.
How can you output Y410 10 bit 444 from madVR ? No matter what I do, MPC-BE always output NV12 420 8 bits.
I have tried latest release build and latest nightly build. No luck.

about numer 1
mpc-be has "auto fit" but i need "auto fit(larger only).why?
cause my monitor resolution is 1366x768 and i have a bunch of 1080p videos.
so when i play them in windowed mode it's like they are fullscreen and i can't use my other programs easily
(yes i play my videos in windowed mode and just when i want watch a movie i use fullscreen)
about number 2
as huhn said i use headphone most of the time.
but it's your decision to add this features or not.thanks anyway :)

as huhn said i use headphone most of the time.I have never used such a mode specifically and my ears feel good.
Perhaps it is a very rare recording for which it is really necessary, but I is not seen.

it is the opposite a headphone crossfeed is made for normal source not for rare recording.
for proper direction detection it is needed to a hear the "same" audio on both ears and this is not possible with headphones.
it is not 100% needed but it helps a lot and stops at least a little bit the effect that the audio is coming from the inside of the head.
a proper HRTF https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Head-related_transfer_function that directly works with the surround sound source sound like THE real deal to me!
something like dolby headphones or DTX headphone X11.1 or the new dolby atmos headphone.

"Auto fit" mode will solve your problems.
no it can't help me cause it affects SD videos too.
i set "auto fit 80%" and it should'nt affect SD videos but look at this picture. (https://i.imgsafe.org/d4265c460a.png)
it's an SD video(854x480)that upscaled to 1092x614.
if i set "auto fit(larger only)" in mpc-hc it just affect HD videos.

No. This limitation made specifically, because we have different percent than in MPC-HC. This ensures that the player window to fit on a desktop in most cases.

About Stereo Crossfeed.
This feature is not implemented in MPC-HC, it is implemented in the audio renderer. You can use an external Sanear Audio Renderer (https://github.com/alexmarsev/sanear/releases).

I've noticed an issue with MPC-BE's internal audio renderer ("MPC Audio Renderer"). I use it to output audio using WASAPI Exclusive mode (as seen in the picture below). When playing back a video with 5.1 channel soundtrack, I get no sound in the rear channel (rear speakers are silent). Front channels and center/subwoofer channels play sound as expected. The same issue does not appear with MPC-HC.
https://i.imgsafe.org/7e71ca49fe.png
In the Realtek control panel, I have set channel configuration to 5.1 (although this setting shouldn't matter in Exclusive mode), and all speakers are mapped correctly. I haven't enable any sort of mixing anywhere. This is what the "Status" tab of MPC Audio Renderer looks like during the playback:

Show filter list while playback. Show properties of audio decoders.
P.S. Try this build https://yadi.sk/d/phlOjGCv38i3Xo - open for playback any 5.1 sound - MPC-BE create wav dump file on the you desktop. Better if open file when sound is present on all 5.1 channel. After - upload it's wav dump for me.

Thanks, it seems the problem has been fixed in the latest version, but what was the problem in previous versions?
And what's the best resizer? Why doesn't DXVA2 resizer work with Nvidia? what method does Nvidia use in EVR mode?
And anyway to enable this option in EVR mode? it's very useful for SD 4:3 videos :(

If you want to have comparable results like on Intels GPU use Lanczos4 the overhead should be handable for most Discrete GPUs upto 4K with ease
Nvidia still should use a very simple filter nothing really more complex then Bilinear/Bicubic.

I HAVE BEEN USING MPC-BE FOR YEARS but since ver2235 I have not been able to get any changes to hold. I can not use madvr, the x64 or the x86 , neither one will allow any changes. they have defaulted to the enhanced renderer , yet prior to the update I had mad vr as default. i am not able to remove external filters or add any either. I have tried to re register mad vr and ffdshows without success
I have windows 10 x64 professional. I am at a loss at why
I do not have the settings locked, i tried to make changes and then lock them , no luck. they go back to where they were . there are some of the external filters in place that i had there for ages, though. not as if they defaulted to the 'out of the box' original settings either, just cant change from where they are now. i do not know what to check and do not want to just remove everything and start all over either
only other player I use is pot player (duan) i got last year but up till lately there were no issues among them. i have MPC-BE associated with most codecs too.
edit:
I may be dealing with another Windows 10 new change in that I must need to open up MPC-BE as administrator. It is a completely new issue for me since no other app forces me to open as adm to do anything that i know of. I use madVR all the time and change it without opening as adm. I will look into just giving adm rights to these players too. (I am the only person who uses anything in this computer and am admin as well as turning off user account nags )

Player settings are changed with the development. We are sorry, but it was necessary.
Of the latter, we have changed the configuration file and DVD positions and all video renderer settings.
I do not know why you do not change the settings without administrative rights. It is very strange.
I advise you to store settings in the registry (not the player folder) and use the latest version 1.5.1.

This is what I thought, but was wrong. I just checked off the 'run as admin' box in the properties and all is ok now.
I did not opt for windows 10, i was ambushed and the windows .old folder was deleted after 8 days rather than the 30days promised so I kept wind10 rather than the hassle of another clean install of windows 7, which is available at any time still.
I never encountered any adm issue since i do not use the user account settings, set to none. I am not very familiar with all of the win10 changes yet either. i had my .ini settings saved as i do back up all the time or use profiles for different types of audio or video uses.
I am the only user, just me as administrator and the standard administrator account are all that exist in this, public too i guess. but i never even opened it yet.
thanks
I believe i have gotten things straight.
I love both MPC-BE 32/64, at one time I had to use the 32 for madVr now, i tend to stay with the 64bit one but cant uninstall the other one out of loyalty or something :)
