MPC-BE support HEVC 10bit DXVA decoding only with EVR custom. On Win 10 also can playback with vanilla EVR playback HEVC 10 bit HEVC.

Same for both internal and external

But it seems that the new MPC-BE is the only one processes the subtitle in this way.

Many of the changes in the splitters. Improved interaction with File Source (URL). Removed the settings panel "Performance", as more unnecessary.

@v0lt:

2 things:

1)Can I ask you how much cache is mpc-be using now (queue size, cache size)?

Maybe I'm mistaken, but I increased those values a while ago, and I thought it helped on my low spec laptop. My cpu is only 1 Ghz, but I have memory to spare, so I don't care using extra for cache, buffer or whatever if it helps a bit. I'll try this new build and see if there's any difference.

2) I know some players are able to show info when listening to online radio (things like the title of the song). Is this possible with mpc-be? I'm listening to an .aac stream right now, and there's nothing more than "title:metal" and "description:powered by ...", but nothing useful.

Is it because the stream doesn't have that info, or mpc-be is not showing it?

Thanks

1)Can I ask you how much cache is mpc-be using now (queue size, cache size)?
Nothing. These options are very rarely given a positive result.

2) I know some players are able to show info when listening to online radio (things like the title of the song). Is this possible with mpc-be? I'm listening to an .aac stream right now, and there's nothing more than the playlist's local filename. If you are using MPC ShoutCast Source, the title is can be seen in View->Information.
Also see View->Options...->Player->Title bar->Replace file name with title.

Hi, v0lt...

MPC-BE 1.4.5 (build 651) x64 take too long to open avi files on windows 10 and Xsubs not show in this build.

Xsubs work well on MPC-BE 1.4.5 (build 629) or in previous builds and is much faster to open avi files.

Please fix this in next build, thanks.

Dear devs, big thank you for your hard work.

May I request a feature to change to default play rate step? e.g. right now in mpcbe it is 0.25x-0.5x-1x-1.2x-1.5x-2.0x-4.0x whereas in mpc-hc it is 0.25x-0.5x-1.0x-2.0x-etc so an option to define these steps would be great!

Thank you!

Hello.

Just tried latest nightly (player and standalone) x86 version on my WinXP system with a Radeon 3650 (UVD+)

The DXVA1 H.264 acceleration is excellent, but for DXVA1 VC-1 it falls back to SW!

The ancient MPC-HC v1.6.9 works fine with DXVA1 VC-1.

Sometimes, when I try to watch a live stream, I only get the audio. It seems to be a random thing (different streams and not often).

Sometimes it fixes itself, by reloading the stream a few times, but other times it doesn't.

Anybody else experiences this? Could it be a problem with the stream itself?

Thanks

I'm trying to record my screen using various programs but the file doesn't play properly. For example using virtualdub and x264vfw (with various profiles) the video just skips to the end and stays there. If I try to seek nothing happens. I can see the end of what I recorded so I don't think it's a lav or madvr problem. The same file plays fine in windows media player. What's wrong?:)

Says pending for approval... I'll just remove it.
Try this, just click on the download button on the top: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1-tZof1xb8gdF8wNmVnbVpTNTQ/view

When I tell x264vfw to output to a file instead of vfw, I get two files. The file that virtualdub creates which is some random 5kb video that shows nothing, and a file that x264vfw creates which can be played back with no issues. But this wasn't working before with msi afterburner as the recording program. I feel like I'm doing something extremely dumb but can't figure out what. I tried vlc and it also failed. But for some reason wmp works.

I don't have a WinXP and can't check.

In order to be more exact, the MPC-BE Player x86 v1.4.5.677 and x86 v1.4.5.699 crash badly without falling-back to SW decoding when using DXVA1 VC-1.

They give me a Windows error with a large text file as crash report.

The standalone x86 v1.4.5.677 tries to fall-back to SW but gives me a black screen.

If I disable DXVA1 VC-1 the SW VC-1 decoder plays just fine.

I don't know if it would help to give you the Windows error file, but my thought is maybe you forgot to put "SSE" in the compilation of DXVA1 VC-1 and left the default "SSE2".

It looks like that kind of error...

Could you check it out ?

Thanks!

By using the good old method of "trial and error" I managed to isolate the error.

For my system:
WinXP SP3+
AthlonXP 2600+
Radeon 3650 - Latest Catalyst for AGP 14.4

the crash appears from MPC-BE.1.3.1.1.4477.x86 version and later

The last working version for DXVA VC-1 is MPC-BE.1.3.1.1.4469.x86
