I don't see why that's surprising...
These are m3u8-playlists representing a television show on Dutch national television. They list more than 350 dynamic MPEG-TS streams.
I renamed them to *.ts so you can watch the entire show in MPC-BE (and MPC-HC). Otherwise they're treated as ordinary playlists and every 5sec a new segment needs to be loaded.

[request] have an option to disable autoplay when using streaming sources so video continues to buffer. better yet to add percentile of when to allow player to resume.

Could we have a graceful exit if MadVR is set as a preferred external filter yet is not set as the output renderer? Having this ticked crashes the player when you try to play a file with any other renderer.

I think he means

-Information tab (Ctrl+3) doesn't necessary to have "description", as it is always too long and ended with "...", he is also not interested on it, and it is wasting the space of interface, but he wants to show author and title.

btw, the issue with FLAC internal splitter, is there really no solution found? It is quite weird that it crashes only when the non-unicode program language of all system (of all language) is set as any Eastern Asia language.

H.265 - it's a "hard" format + ffmpeg's decoder do not optimise yet at 100%

My advice would be either avoid h265 or upgrade to a quad core, old tech only goes so far.

Hi,
Im using mpc-be 1.3.0.3 x86 on windows 7.

I noticed that recently that it was taking 5 seconds to shutdown mpc-be after I press exit.(my screen switches resolutions depending on format)
Even if you pressed file and exit it would take a few seconds.

I found the problem to be the MRU/recent files list.

Mine was REALLY long and as soon as I cleared that the problem went away.

I have now added 'HKCU\Software\MPC-BE\Recent File List' to ccleaner so it doesn't get as long again, without me manually pressing the 'clear list' button.

If it is hanging on exit, the MRU is the problem.

On Win 8/8.1 - it is necessary, otherwise the extension is not associated with the application.

If you do not want it - disable association in installer.

Feature request/question: Is it posible to add ReplayGain support into player/decoders?
It is useful for audio files and for A/V files as RG tag can be added into container so all files can have same loudness without modifing audio.

PNG is always lossless.
The compression level just makes your CPU work harder.
