Just hide the menu, it looks ugly anyway (I use frame only) It all can be accessed via the right click context menu.

I guess it wouldn't be silly to just remove the beta tag from the builds anyway. Alexins/Aleksoid since you just constantly make new builds for release
why not just remove the beta from the title? If not I guess we'd have some luck with Shark007 removing it from his builds if they don't want to..

Greetings to all.
Who interesting in internal WASAPI audio renderer - please test this build http://aleksoid.voserver.net/MPC-BE/mpc-be.exe_WASAPI_test_5.7z
Add A/V sync mechanism.

In shared mode, there are small audio glitches once in a while(2-3 times during a movie) mostly with DTS, but sometimes AC3 too, all 5.1 channels.

In exclusive mode, mostly with DTS audio(it only happened once with AC3 after seeking), there's a channel that goes silent or at least quieter(seems to be the right one, it's hard to tell with certainty using headphones) quite often(20+ times per movie).
Seeking or pausing and resuming fixes it most of the time but not always. It eventually always does after a couple of tries though.

This was using LAVfilters(since it was the one who had more problems with A/V sync last time) and outputting at 24 bit integer.

Edit: In exclusive mode with the internal filters instead of LAV, it doesn't lose a channel, but it does glitch instead.

Just noticed BE has a different arrangement of buttons than HC.
Since I always hide the toolbar and never use those buttons, I didn't notice it till now. Will fix soon.

@MPC-BE team:

You guys developed a D-Box version for us D-Box users some time ago. First of all we D-Box users are very happy with it and we appriciate it so much that you guys did this for us. MPC-BE D-Box is currently still the only and so exclusive solution for D-Box users that want to enjoy HD-audio + D-Box simultanously.

However, there is still a bug that exists:
The problem is there when playing a TrueHD track. MPC-BE D-Box crashes when playing that. You guys have to know that we D-Box users use LAV filters + madVR. So ALL INTERNAL FILTERS are unchecked and LAV audio decoder, LAV video decoder, LAV splitter and LAV source splitter. In my case my selected primary audio device is my AMD hd-audio selected as DIRECT SOUND. My second audio device (Dual Audio Output box in MPC-BE checked) is my on-board SPDIF optical output also selected as DIRECT SOUND. My primary audio device is my 270x GPU and the HD-Audio is send through this to my AVR (also with the video signal of course). My second audio device (on-board SPDIF output) runs to my D-Box decoder which picks up the core signal from this and is able to 'read' this. With DTS-MA this all works fine. I have read somewhere that the core DTS signal in somehow 'packed in' the DTS-MA signal so it makes sense this works. However, when playing a TrueHD file MPC-BE D-Box crashes. I ve read that the Dolby Digital signal comes as a complete separate stream and does not work the same as DTS-MA/DTS. I THINK that this might be the problem.

Please let me know if you guys understand the problem described above and if there maybe is a fix for this possible. Also let us know if you need more info.

gr. Sander (and all other D-Box users).

SPDIF output do not support TrueHD Bitstream output. Only AC3/DTS. Instead TrueHD stream - select ac3(core from TrueHD). If use Internal MPEGSplitter - check AC3 output.

SPDIF output do not support TrueHD Bitstream output. Only AC3/DTS. Instead TrueHD stream - select ac3(core from TrueHD). If use Internal MPEGSplitter - check AC3 output.

I know that SPDIF does only support DD/DTS and not TrueHD and DTS-MA.

Let me try to explain again what I need (I will try to explain it as simple as possible because I know your English is not the best from what you ve told me).

A D-Box decoder does not have a HDMI input. It only has a optical digital input. The D-Box decoder 'reads' the CORE dolby digital or dts track. IT CAN ONLY READ THE UNALTERED DD/DTS SIGNAL!!!!

So....with DTS-MA it works fine. I think this is so because the D-Box version you created outputs the DTS-MA 2x. 1x to the first output and 1x to the second. The first DTS-MA track goes to my receiver so my receiver picks up the HDaudio track. The second DTS-MA track is send through my second audio device. I KNOW that this second audio device (my onboard SPDIF output) does not support DTS-MA. HOWEVER!!!: the CORE dts signal is somehow 'packed in' to this dts-ma signal and the spdif output sends out the CORE dts signal to my d-box decoder. So this way my d-box decoder receives the dts core signal properly.

The problem comes with a True-HD track. In a True-HD track the Dolby Digital signal that my D-Box decoder needs is not packed into the TrueHD track. So what needs to be done is that the TrueHD track is send through one audio device and the Dolby Digital track has to be send through my other audio device to my D-Box decoder. This way my D-Box decoder can read the UNALTERED Dolby Digital track and my receiver plays the True-HD track.

I hope you understand what it is that I m needing with a TrueHD track.

So to summarize:
A DTS-MA has to lossy dts core signal packed with it and that s why this works for d-box users because the dts-ma is send to the avr and the same dts-ma has dts packed in it and is send to the d-box decoder.

a TrueHD track does not contain the lossy dd track in it. But the lossy dd track is there on the disc! It is only separate. So the fix for TrueHD is to send the TrueHD track to one audio device and the separate Dolby Digital track through the other audio device!

I resumed it after pausing it to get something to eat at around 11:06.
I seeked a couple time in a row at 11:20 which is why there are so many at that time I assume.
I only heard 2 or 3 in an hour and a half so it's better than the last build or the source somehow made it act different today.

They never happen at the same time. I made sure it wasn't a problem with the source the couple of first time by seeking back and listening back to where the glitch happened.

Edit:
Here's the one for the second movie:
2014.03.02 11:45:01.067 : CMpcAudioRenderer::RenderWasapiBuffer() : add silence : 20000[1152], packet type : New
2014.03.02 11:45:03.117 : CMpcAudioRenderer::RenderWasapiBuffer() : add silence : 9872[564], packet type : New

That's when I started it. I didn't hear anything at that time and no glitch during the whole movie.
Never paused or seeked in it.

There's also one bug unrelated to wasapi I encountered recently.
When you seek past the end of a video with EVR CP in fullscreen, it doesn't exit fullscreen, you have to seek back and let it play until the end for it to actually exit.
I tested it with madvr and it doesn't do it, but I haven't tested any other renderer.
MPCHC doesn't have that problem with EVR CP.

another feedback (sorry if annoying)
from what I see on forums, now next button is still using wrong image. your previous post was correct.
would you like to fix another missing icon from iconlib? as I know, you ported it from Flatro MPC-HC. iconlib from MPC-BE and MPC-HC are different (for example HC doesn't have F4V). :D
anyway these icons looks smooth and clean, personally I love it. thanks to twtrade and you :)

You're not annoying me, in any way! Au contraire! I'm truly grateful, since I'm very clumsy with finishing touches haha :D

The toolbars are fixed, that button simply missed my attention in the re-making.

Well, I did notice that A LOT of icons are missing (since I need to change the icons on the DLL one at a time, it's quite a boring process - the iconlib from BE is gigantic).

For the time being, I'm using the "same family" icons (MT2S for MTS, for example), since I'm using twtrade's resources. So I would need him to do a F4V icon or supply me with his PSDs so I can make one directly.

Actually it's quite the reverse... I like that BE is very specific and allows me to have a very explicit icon to show me what kind of file I'm dealing with. But I don't have icons for all of the extensions available the resources I'm using.

Also BE internal audio renderer actually works, the old internal codecs have many improvements, it has youtube support, doesn't go to fullscreen before initializing the window which is quite annoying since it force madvr to switch from windowed to fullscreen mode and has a couple of different default settings.
MPCHC now use LAVfilters has its internal codecs.

There's probably much more differences, but if all you do is play video and don't care about anything else, then v0lt answer is what you're looking for.

What do you mean with you get to choose which ever version of LAV works best for you?
You can do that too with MPCHC, just disable its internal filters and use external LAV or you can even replace the internal one with whichever version of LAV you want to use.

Tell me how MPC-HC is "so bloated"? I'm under impression that for some reasons, you hate MPC-HC so much that you try to take any opportunities to denigrate it even you don't have any clue in what you said.

Note that I'm not a regular MPC-HC user anymore and I'm not trying to defend it, I'm just annoyed by your attitude towards it.

It's not like I've gone through the code or anything but it's my understanding that it's not bloated in the slightest, in fact.. I feel any changes made to reduce bloat would likely happen in the MPC-HC trunk rather than the BE fork.

It has LAV built in, nuff said

I tried to disable it and use my preferred version of LAV, but then I still see it is using its own built in version when I right click while playing the video

And MPCBE has its own filters built in, what's your point?

You're doing something wrong if you can't disable them.
Worst case, you can simply delete the LAVFilters folder in MPCHC root folder and it will be gone.
