most likely the m265 is used for hardware decoding and this GPU doesn't support h265 decoding.

When I am streaming a http stream from a local network source, the stream data is also being saved in AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache\IE\[random folder].
I tested also with Vlc and mplayer-hc and they do not save the data.

Might switch over to MPC-BE soon. Why doesn't BE use LAV filters? Are the internal ones better/different? Eg. hardware versus software decoding is selectable in LAV filters. In BE, it is hardware. Deinterlacing in BE is auto, which might conflict with madvr if you trust madvr to IVTC first.

I have 3 separate apps, MPC-BE x64 and 32bit as well as one of MPC-HC x64 that i have used for a long time to mix and match as each changes over time. I dont know a whole lot about the codecs nor why they are different in making the videos or decoding them, I thought ffdshow and LAV were sort of based on the same things , whatever that is. I only know the names or letters of the filters and experiment based on information i get reading things ,not just on Doom9 forums but all over. I download the newest ones as they come up but basically I keep the lav filters "as is" in the MPC-HC, although i thought they used ffdshow internal too and use a mix of both external filters and built-in both BE apps. since they seem to use the same ffdshow I use for audio and video and lav as splitter. I use MadVr as renderer but only with the BE, and EVR custom in HC but can quickly change over to Madvr if i want
I watch a huge variety of movies , videos from all periods over a hundred years. some require more tweaking to get to play well enough to enjoy. other new blu rays, clearly do not need much or any at all. I have learned by trial and error, need to set a few profiles but even so, some old movies will not fit into any profile. By combining Madvr and the 2 MPC BE & HC players i have been able to watch hundreds of movies that just were not fit to watch on media players through the windows OS. nor would they play on the power dvd i paid for 10yrs ago or so.
I am very happy that people were able to , and did create these great applications.

is there a way to run two separate instances of MPC-BE with different options/settings?
In the past it was possible to run portable version that stored settings in the .ini file, but that option no longer exists.

Using LAV with MPC-BE under Windows 8.1 EVR (Custom) or MadVR to play 3D on a 4k desktop, selecting the Line Interleaved option doesn't produce a 1920x2160 frame but a 1920x1080 frame in a window consisting of 2 truncated, wrapped around, offset and interleaved images, regardless of the MPC options I set.
If I select the Over/Under option I do get the expected 1920x2160 frame in a window.
MPC stats suggest a 1920x1080 video which doesn't sound correct when there are 2 eye view frames of 1920x1080 joined together.
Is there a bug in the Line Interleaved handling of MPC that scales 1920x2160 to 1920x1080 regardless, or have I missed a setting that wraps the window to the actual size and aspect ratio of the video? Because of the native 4k 3D line interleaved nature of the LG TV, I need MPC to only scale horizontally and not tamper with the vertical. It does this with Over/Under setting, so not sure why it would be different with line interleaved.

If you use LAV+MadVR - don't touch 3D settings in MPC-BE, do some needed 3D options in MadVR.
If you want use internal 3D setting for line interleaved mode(for TV with passive 3D) - just set to Auto and use internal video decoder + EVR CP.
And yes - line interlaved mode do output in 1920x1080(not 2160). There is no mode for 3D output in 1920x2160.

Thanks for the clarification.
MadVR also outputs line interleaved as 1920x1080 by first downscaling each eye view to 1920x540 then combining them into a 1920x1080 frame.
Any possibility MPC-BE could support line interleaved output for 4k passive TVs in future? LG's passive 3D 4k OLED TVs are perfect for this application as there is minimal processing and scaling involved after decoding.
When I say 1920x2160 output, I mean as a window on the 4k desktop sized to the video. Scaling the window to fullscreen then provides the desired 3D output of 3840x2160 by only scaling horizontally.
My assumption of the LAV->MPC-BE->EVR/MadVR process was that LAV would decode 3D to something like two separate 1920x1080 eye views, then pass them to MPC-BE which would interleave them to a 1920x2160 frame in a window on the desktop and thence scale it to 3840x2160 when displayed fullscreen, but this does not seem to be happening for a 4k desktop.

All "free" MVC decoders do, and even further, they even all use my wrapper code to do it, its fascinating how these features magically appeared everywhere last year :)

Not much point if it's going to scale to 1920x1080 regardless, just like MadVR.
I don't understand why Over/Under works correctly in MPC-BE/MadVR and Line Interleaved doesn't: they are effectively the same frame size before scaling to desktop, but they don't appear as the same frame size in a window on the desktop.

madVR doesn't do Over/Under. It does do top-and-bottom, but that's also half-resolution.

It comes up occasionally, but its not really moving much. With 3D TVs slowly dying out in newer generations, I wouldn't be surprised if its never finished.

I am experiencing a very odd issue when playing FILM (.cpk or .cak) files. The video renders but the audio (PCM according to MPC-BE) is played highly distorted and very quickly. This occurs with either MPC-BE built-in filters or with LAV Filters and occurs with both the built-in audio renderer and with the default DirectSound device.
MPC-HC does not have this issue.
A bunch of samples can be found here: http://samples.ffmpeg.org/game-formats/film-cpk/
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks!!

Maybe you just delete MEDIASUBTYPE_PCM from output, as it's wrong ??
Or add new subtype, i use custom for ADX ADPCM in MPEGSplitter & Audio Decoder:
{78646153-0000-0010-8000-00AA00389B71} for ffmpeg codec AV_CODEC_ID_ADPCM_ADX.
