mpc-be.exe_VC1_WMV_DXVA(1).7z: Opens (DXVA), but won't play.
mpc-be.exe_VC1_WMV_DXVA(2).7z: Opens (DXVA), but won't play.
DXVA_WMV_Debug.7z: mpc-be.exe crashes immediately.
DXVA_WMV_Debug_2.7z: same.
DXVA_WMV_Debug_3.7z: same.
As MPC-HC doesn't have this issue, I'd say between Rev.2264 and Rev.2280 lies the problem.
DXVA_WMV_Debug_4.7z: mpc-be.exe crashes immediately.

Dbgview-logfile (http://www.degeelebosch.nl/reino/CORONE.7z)
Not only with Step_into_Liquid_1080.wmv, but with every file I open, the player crashes: "The instruction at "0xcdcdcdcd" referenced memory at "0xcdcdcdcd". The memory could not be "read"." (might even be my aging physical memory failing, I don't know, because it happens more often).
But funny enough, although the crash-message comes up, the video starts playing. Aspect ratio is wrong (4:3 instead of 16:9), but I haven't seen image distortion! :)

Just downloaded Rev.2753; WMV-fix merged, problem solved (including the aspect ratio, yes). Thank you!
Bit of a feature request.
It would be great if the seek preview option had an extra option which would disable if used on DVD/Bluray etc as multiple seeks and disk playback don't work so well together.

Ok, that helped a bit. Now I can see the green bar as long as I don't close the player. If I close and start the player again it doesn't work anymore. I can make it appear again by opening options and pressing 'OK' but it disappears again if I restart the player. Also, the playback controls in the 'Peek preview' box aren't working (they are showing but pressing them doesn't do anything).
Hi, I CAN reproduce this problem - exactly the same thing is happening to me.
Furthermore: If I ran MPC directly from Windows, Explorer, etc. its OKAY. Only if I open media files via Total Commander (8.01, x64, as Administrator), then there is no taskbar feature, until manual unchecking and checking in Options, Tweaks. Situation repeats after every exit and re-run..
Can you look at it please?
Thank you, Paul
Here's some initial results from the Audio renderer assuming SVN 2771 has all the updates.
Bitsteaming
DTS-HD HR/MA crash in both Shared and exclusive
DD+ is out of sync
AC3/DTS/TrueHD all seem good in both shared and exclusive
Does exclusive require 16bit input and fail to connect with any other inputs? Also there is the rare crash on opening a media file and when attempting again normally works.
Seeking with shared mode seems to stutter for about 1 second before recovering, exclusive doesn't seem to have this issue or is to short to notice.

only test bitstreaming, or can we comment on other things?
For me shared mode is working pretty well, but I don't understand the benefit of shared mode over directsound.
Exclusive mode has problems for me. Everything is being played back in slow motion. Tried mono, 5.1, 16 bit, 24 bit, 32 float.
This is on a xonar dg sound card.

Ok my bad, will get x86 LAV installed etc so I can test this build
Results,
All bitstreaming seems ok in both shared and exclusive, DD+ seems to get out of sync in shared easily. Sound seems kick in slower than DirectShow.
Seeking still stutters on decoded playback in shared mode.
This build is an improvement over current SVN

I've encountered a few problems with youtube video on build 2797 that weren't there in the last build I used (2241), both on x86.
Using windows 7 x64 and the latest LAV + MadVR with the internal source setting for youtube(haven't tested the file source yet or any other combination of renderer/codecs)
-It can't play links that have extra parameters. For example http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wMvPyMh_oto&list=PL0A25EAE6C2CA3C36&index=147 won't start but http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wMvPyMh_oto will. With 2241 it worked on this particular combination 95% of the time but failed with some other parameters like the embedded player one so it would be nice if it could detect the "v" parameter(and maybe other helpful ones if there are any) and only use it/them.
-It will not stop at the end of playback, it always say playing in the status bar, unless you manually pause or stop it.
-Trying to load a second video after the end of another one(or while it's still playing/loading) without closing the player will make mpc-be become unresponsive and will crash if you click on the window a few times.
Edit: After a bit more testing, it seems the playback not stopping and no second video will load + crash was only when using LAV, it works fine with the internal decoders.

This was only to say the the 2 errors you can't reproduce only occurred with LAVfilters.
Can't reproduce.
Me neither apparently, it did it 3 times in a row with 30+ min video(like the one I used to provide an example for the first bug), but hasn't happened with the short ones I used to try and reproduce it.
Please test WASAPI Exclusive & Bitstream

Will do, at least for the WASAPI part since I don't have any receiver to bitstream to.

After a bit of testing before going to sleep, WASAPI exclusive works without any problems if I output the sound to my tv speakers via my graphic card through a dvi->hdmi cable, but it won't play at all on my Xonar D1 to my headphones(and I use reclock's WASAPI exclusive with it all the time without problem).
The video won't even start to play most of the time with the Xonar, it always switch back to stopped and when it manage to start, there's no sound at all.
I tried with a combination of LAV, madvr, internal filters and EVR custom with audio from mp3 stereo to dts 5.1 all with the same result.
Don't know if the youtube fix is in it, but pasting the youtube link from a playlist that I provided earlier work in this build, but it actually load the very first video of the playlist instead of the right one which work fine if I remove the extra parameters manually.

You can test without Bitstream/Receiver. Just select MCP Audio Renderer and in it's options select Exclusive/Shared mode. And - see movie :)

Before run mpc-be.exe - run DbgView.exe http://aleksoid.voserver.net/MPC-BE/Dbgview.exe.7z
