I guess the flybar is a window which is positioned on top of the madVR rendering window?
yes
In that case madVR will never try to go to FSE mode. So how can you solve that? There's no easy solution. The best solution would be to draw the flybar through one of madVR's various OSD interfaces. But that would probably require you to write extra code. You'd have to turn the flybar into an RGB bitmap with an alpha channel. You could probably use a similar technique to make the flybar work for VMR/EVR exclusive mode, too.
OK, I understand you. Thank you.

you have test version which support flybar in mad (windowed mode, not in exclusive) why you don't read conversation above? http://aleksoid.voserver.net/MPC-BE/mpc-be.exe_Mixer_test.7z

No, that torrent is too slow for me, I have many avi files myself.
1.1.3.0.1737 x86, just disable all BE's internal source filters, and block Haali Media Splitter, no other changes:
See it http://i.minus.com/iFVHZ1lnSvYb0.png
As you see, lav splitter worked fine, haali was blocked.
PS: Even i didnt block haali, the active filter was still the lav splitter (http://i.minus.com/ib0QbH49kUrauY.png) because I didn't register the .avi source filter for haali when installing haali (http://i.minus.com/ip3T1vfAHKAkY.png).
Of course, no .avi for LAV too(I use lav zip which won't register any source filters), there is just no .avi source filter on my system. This means LAV Splitter Source and Haali Media Splitter will be never activated for avi files on mpc-hc, because they are both source filters.
didnt i say that 2 times already that if haali is set to block in the newest version of mpchc be that it works , ive said that already thanks for repeating my words and btw your .avi files arent nothing like the one ive linked too
and if youd visited ranphas site as ive linked too and actually checked how ranphas lav filters pack installs youd know that its automatically installed with .avi being handled by lav splitter since lav splitter is set as source, and haali media splitter just being used for matroska files
http://imouto.my/watching-h264-videos-using-compute-unified-device-architecture-cuda/
if youd read the file info with mediainfo youd notice it being a specific .avi with a certain combo of filters used that your files most unlikely have
check out http://dev.mpc-next.ru/index.php/topic,1062.0.html
to see the mediainfo output ive posted
once again only if i set haali to block will it run the video file without problems , please fix this
hell even with the latest potplayer it works just like it did with mpchc be 1.0.3.1 without having to block haali
as haali isnt even set as source for .avi , lav splitter is , since the beginning! i repeat haali is only used on matroska
so what is going on
Aleksoid1978

In MPC-HC & MPC-BE we do not have select for what format/extension use Source/Splitter. We just trying to use Source for open file - and Haali do it.
I can use only one thing - disable Haali for ALL *.avi files.
sexus
11th January 2013, 02:25
ranphas lav filter installer does all that already!
and i wasnt specifically talking bout potplayers filter selection feature either , what i meant is it works on latest potplayer and it works on mpchc BE 1.0.3.1 without having to disable haali , but not on 1.1.3.0.1737 except if you block haali in external filters, wich should NOT be required as haali only is used for matroska! so something is wrong
and the rest uses lav splitter , if you use ranphas LAV filter pack
go ahead check it out and youl see what im actually talkin about
heres the download link, make sure to uninstall all your filters before you install the pack, that includes haali with its registry entries, use revo uninstaller or something alike
imouto.my/redirect/32 < paste this into your empty tab
thanks for the effort in advance and hope you can fix this issue

Could you cut a small sample which can reproduce the issue from your specific avi file by DGSplit or commercial software (boilsoft video splitter etc.) and then upload to http://www.sendspace.com/(needn't register) ?
I'm interested in it.

Could you cut a small sample which can reproduce the issue from your specific avi file by DGSplit I'm pretty sure you can't cut an AVI with a binary file splitter. But you can open it in VirtualDub, set a range and then direct stream copy to an output AVI.
Aleksoid1978
11th January 2013, 03:24
All right, if you set "Prefered" for Source Filter - this is Source Filter trying to open file at first. Haali support Avi. And file opened throw Haali.
Normally - in Haali must be options for what extensions it's use.
PotPlayer - it's can select for what format use Source Filters. MPC-HC & MPC-BE can't do this.
P.S. - try this http://aleksoid.voserver.net/MPC-BE/mpc-be.exe_1833.7z. I disable Haali+avi.

after you cut a small sample from specific avi file (like that "prism-tbup.avi") by any software then it has no problem with Haali already and you can not reproduce the issue.

Maybe something wrong with the hardware decoding+MadVR, not only with LAV Video.
There are problems in software mode decoding?
Yes, avcodec, cuvid, quicksync, dxva have same result.
Sexus: pixel shaders you can add shaders by going to edit shaders. I never found the deband ps very effective, less so then gradfun2db (ffdshow) and even less to f3kdb but to each his own.

@aleksoid your mpc-be.exe_1833 , works without disabling haali , what you do different? go back to how 1.0.3.1 was working?

well this isnt a normal haali install this is ranphas lav filter pack as youve been able to see if youve downloaded it
@turbojet , you think so , i thought ranpha knew what he was doin , so you say raw ffdshow deband filter is better afterall?, cause ive tried both and there is indeed a colour difference using janwillem32s deband shaders wich is better and more accurate in colour compared to ffdshow raws deband , try it out, ive already pmd ranpha to see what he says about this since im confused atm

MPC-BE defaults in opening size (no video) to the screen ratio, adding a black border to the logo, is it possible to add another option to wrap to logo, as is default in MPC-HC?
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/35202345/mpcberewindow.PNG
I can get round the problem, as above, by resizing and ticking "remember last window size" in options, but this isn't ideal as if I resize for some reason, it is no longer wrapped to logo, and it would be useless if I want to use a portrait logo rather than landscape (logo png download (http://dl.dropbox.com/u/35202345/mpcbelogwd.png)).

Thanks, I see even MPC-HC has black edges if you select no borders, is there a technical reason for this:o? Comparing both with borders, MPC-BE adds black edges on top & bottom compared to MPC-HC:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/35202345/mpcbevsmchcPNG.PNG
one problem is I don't know how to get MPC-BE to default to video size (& wrap borders to video) when playing a video so when I play a video with a tall background like this it is looking wrong (I have to manually select View>Zoom> Autofit every time I restart MPC-BE):
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/35202345/mpcbeplayintall.PNG
in MPC-HC it defaults (I think) to 200% zoom on small videos (360x240), & shows other videos at 100%, or fit screen.

ok turbojet ive got a reply about your comment on janwillem32s shaders well here it is:
Avisynth-based debanding modules like f3kdb and gradfun2DBmod with custom denoiser are always better than libavfilter’s gradfun (it is not gradfun2DB) and JanWillem32′s PS scripts. Then again, being Avisynth, you need ffdshow raw video filter and also Avisynth frameserver installed, can make initial start of playback slower and make the whole playback potentially unstable.
Between ffdshow’s gradfun and JW r=6 deband PS, they are pretty much the same. The latter takes lots of GPU shaders though, but it works with P010 colorspace, there it is worth it.
link to comparison
http://imgbox.com/acgqoMdv
well there you have it , ive asked for more of his oppinion on wich he prefers, thou it currently does seem that janwillem32 wins
update just got a reply again this finally explains why janwillem32s deband shaders scripts is better :
Go to http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=157634 where the JanWillem32 PS script pack is located, and you will find out that there are more than 30 of the deband script files in the archive (I only include the r=6 variants in the installer). Do you know why there are plenty of those deband filters there? The answer is because the deband filters are meant to be stacked. If you only use the deband script once, then the ffdshow deband filter will surely have better result. But if you chained the scripts and fine tune it according to your hardware and quality need, the deband filter can easily match what gradfun can do.
well there you have it , thats a wrap
