How come then I am getting prompt to upgrade to latest 1.5.0 (build 1783), which has beta tag?

All right. Still, I see really no problem with the implementation for Intel GPUs first and then maybe putting a line under the resizers in the menu saying "DXVA 2 only works with Intel GPUs". For nV/AMD it can be sorted out later on in the developement, assuming that making it work for Intel is a lot easier than for the rest.;)

in MPC-BE but not in general.

AMD DXVA scaler is a low quality bicubic with a lot of banding and a picture shift for what ever reason.

the DXVA AMD scaler doesn't like RGB input it's using bilinear in madVR in this case.

long story short: use normal bicubic 0.60 with an AMD GPU instead of DXVA.

it should be the same for nvidia i can't test it right now but the DXVA scaler wasn't any good.

Decoder Bitrate Line (Yellow) for the Graph
CPU Utilization Line (Blue)
GPU Utilization Line (Purple)

I think it would be a great addition also if the user could actually decide which timers to show individually selectable for the OSD Display Rivatuner style.

So finally giving the Statistics OSD configurability over the options menu and maybe even a Menu Preset and grouping System.

I mostly prefer Mode 2 because of the overall low latency that hardly interferes with the playback result @ all no matter how heavy the CPU gets tasked from the Decoder simultaneously to the GPU ;)

Of course no Vulkan no DX11 and no DX12 but therfore fantastic what especially Nvidias Driver holds up on Kernel peak utilization above 75% :)

Too fatty will update the CPU/GPU load 60 times per second.
For detailed graphs CPU/GPU, better to use special software.

Rivatuners overall overhead is lower then the entire Mode 1 Statistics ;)

Hmm about the too fatty im not so sure if the impact would be so high as you think and seem to fear in a Graph Only Mode with 3 additional draw and timer calls we aren't in the 90s anymore and Nvidia tries to really be efficient as possible lot has changed ;)

Jesus sooner or later every Browser will be more efficient they partly already are.

I doubt they'll bother. Use shutdownguard or something similar.

How can I save "Touch window from inside" and "zoom 100%" in BE? Every time I play new video I lose zoom settings. In not full screen mode when video is 720P I want 720P window, when is 1080P I want 1080P window. Now when I play 1080P and another file is 720P, picture is still resized to 1080 window. :/

I can't seem to get AssFilterMod (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=173573)to work with MPC-BE (1.5.0 2021), in MPC-HC (1.7.10.252) the filter loads if its added to the external list? Would be nice to add support for this filter directly in the subtitles dropdown menu.

Ah oki thx for pointing me to the older posts, i did some basic testing and in mpc-hc + lav the filter works fine. I guess i have to wait until it meets the implementation criteria of mpc-be.

I think it's limited x86 platforms.
Try to use EVR and check the video memory consumption.

The driver refuses to work in 8K mode on 32-bit (it fails when initializing the decoder), it may indeed be memory concerns.

i think it's time to ask you for help. i tried to use this player ages ago but skipped it because it simple didn't start.
now, years (?) later i decided to try it again, as MPC HC developement looks like it stopped.
Whenever i install the x64 version - stable or latest nightly 1.5.0.2029 - i simply cannot run MPC BE. no window appears and the process is killed after few seconds without any error.
x86 versions run fine, but i kinda would like to solve this issue.
Did anyone experience similar problems?
I'm running Windows 10 x64 i7-6700k. only internal graphics.

Im doing some low power efficiency tests and i found some really odd behavior on Celeron N2840 (Bay Trail) Windows 10 so far with the MPC-BE Gui slowing down the whole render thread when the seekbar gets Displayed on EVR (Native) it has a huge Performance and Usability hit and capability to drop frames even @ DXVA Playback which is odd as even the transparency overlay or the more heavier non osd statistics (Render Filter Statistics) doesn't cause such a massive frame drop out behavior.

As soon as the Seekbar gets actively rendered massive render frame drops take place on the EVR Output no matter the scale of the Window Surface.

Firefox, Chrome, Edge and Windows Media Player Interfaces work without issues.

The problem is sometimes it switches correctly to 23.976 and other times it switches to 24hz which messes up the movies. I have autoswitch turned on and the only settings are 23p which should be 23.976 and 50p for 25hz movies. Using Intel internal graphics on i3 6100.

Whole player GUI could use an overhaul but it's not going to happen any time soon as nobody is interested in developing it. Using one of the icon packs (skins) is the only option you have right now and only goes so far.

Can someone help me, I'm trying to figure out how to stretch my movies that are 2.35-1/2.40 to 1 to fit 16:9 screen using media center remote. Unfortunately the system is not smart enough to know a 16:9 movie is already 16:9 and stretches those too. So I have to stretch the widescreen movies to fit the height of the screen. Yes I know that its messing up the movies, but I've done it for years and I'm okay with it. So the problem is there is no option in the keys section for PNS 16:9 mode. Is there anyway to do this with the remote? I tried mapping key to PNS increase height and figured I could just press the key multiple times to stretch to height but that doesn't seem to work, maybe increases like slight amount of height and then does nothing on subsequent presses. The key map for resetting the PNS works fine from the remote so I just need a way to stretch to 16:9 via remote.

Yes, I get that and stretching them screws up the height, but it doesn't matter to me, I prefer them to fill the screen.
