If all developers native language is Russian, what is the meaning to write a foreign language for them?

The fact that your site is mainly in Russian, and the fact you don't have change-logs in English, is keeping me back from switching from MPC HT to MPC-BE. And I know of others having hesitations because of this.

MPC-BE might be better, that is; I have the feeling it might be. But if you cant explain this to the fast majority of people in the world, no-one will start using MPC-BE, let alone backing the project/helping out etc.

It is better. Way better and way prettier too.

I don't - and wouldn't really care about the changelog.
I trust these guys are doing the best they can and going the path they feel is the best for the project - they are around since always and I have developed faith in them ;)

Although I DO think it would be great to have a changelog in English too. Or maybe a translation switch. But it definetely wouldn't keep me from using it if not implemented.

- Doesn't look like I'm emulating Windows 95, looks natural on modern systems without slowing down or compromising the experience. Actually, it's every little bit as fast, if not faster, than HC.
- Integrates very nicely with Windows 7/8 taskbar play controls and keyboard media keys.
- Doesn't use LAV Filters as a primary filter, still all internal codecs.
- Very useful seekbar features.

I'm not really sure how HC is catching up lately, hasn't used it from months now. I suggest you get BE and see for yourself.

I try open .MKV file use LAVSplitter(MPC-BE or MPC-HC), that partially (~12%) downloaded from torrent.
Torrent download is configured to continuously since the beginning of the file(see a screen)

In addition to already mentioned things - nice wasapi audio renderer that is not broken and that, unlike other renderers, gives me gapless audio playback of the mkv's with linked segments (unless these changes were ported to MPC-HC, dunno, I stopped using it completely a while ago).

Oh please, take this trolling somewhere else. All the previous posters told about real things that they consider important for them. If you seriously have some problem like that, that's your mistake, not the player's.

A feature request, if I may:

Could you put a button on the controlbar (next to the AUD and SUB buttons) as a shortcut to display the playlist.

Here is why I need it:

Ever since MPC-BE has given us the 'Play with MPC-BE' and 'Add to MPC-BE playlist' shell context menus, it has been very conveniet to use playlists and I'd like to thank the team for that. I use them quite often.

But, when you want to play, say, the 3rd one the playlist, it gets quite laborious to get to the playlist and select the desired item --especially in fullscreen mode.

A button captioned, say, 'LST' to toggle the playlist would be a very useful time saver.

Is there a way to access a crash log or something similar in MPC-BE? I started using it yesterday (along with MadVR and LAV filters) and it was really good and smooth but today it crashes when trying to open MKV and MP4 files.

Edit: Wait, now it's fine again. Looks like it was only crashing when I tried to play a video while VidCoder was encoding in the background. That never happened with MPC-HC before.

Edit 2: Back to crashing once again. Yep, I don't really understand what's going on, the crashing seems completely random.

I can't be fully sure, but in most cases differences like this stem from the GPU drivers poking around the standard MS video surfaces, which are used in many video renderers in DirectShow.

Go to your GPU's control panel and disable everything video related (noise reduction, color correction etc.), except for deinterlacing-related things. Then check the result once more.

Also, do note which renderer you are using (Play→Filters lists all the filters used in the graph) and on which OS you are on.

I use standalone filters with WMP 12 and have problem when there is subtitles with video (movie), the problem is i can't seek, if i make seek WMP 12 is crashing every time and closing (when vsfilter.dll is not used there is no problem with seeking)

the problem is in (i think) - MPCVideoDec.ax

if i use "MPCVideoDec.ax" from standalone_filters-mpc-be.1.3.1.0.3780.x86.(VS2013) - there is no problem with seeking when have subs, this is last working version of filters, all above (incl. 4009) is not working or gives errors when seeking in WMP 12

it is on Win 7 x64, WMP 12 (x86)

i use Haali splitter + MPCVideoDec (decoder for x264) + vsfilter.dll (for subs) --> WMP 12

video is mkv file with x264

build 4055 and 4066 with the internal splitter, audio volume is very low

with other matroska splitters, audio volume is normal

I confirm what the wanezhiling say in DEV.MPC-NEXT.RU forum.

I have low volume too with internal splitter

Some bug in Audio Switcher. Disable or remove 2 last audio track - and volume is ok. We try to understand what wrong.

MPC is not anymore able do transcode an AAC 5.1 audio stream (e.g. from a mkv) to an AC3 and stream it to a SPDIF...it even hangs or gives only stereo or no sound at all, depending on the details of the setup (Win7x86; MPC with internal filters)...tried MPC Audio Renderer, Direct Sound,...
